This thing is really sweet. We have a coffee maker and a keurig but we don't have one for iced coffee. I made the first cup for my wife who drinks iced coffee alot when she's not at home. She looooved it and immediately told me to show her how its done. It's very easy actually. Just load up the water to the fill line on the provided cup, add coffee by using the provided scoop and then add ice to the cup. Push brew and you're good to go. This coffee maker also comes with a little recipe book that tells you what syrups to use to get the flavor you want. The coffee maker takes up an extremely small amount of space on the counter top and the design looks great. Price is on point. I recommend it to anyone!

Started out ok. But the one without the hot coffee works way better. Didn’t splatter everywhere. Almost ruined table since I wasn’t monitoring the machine. Coffee everywhere. And there’s no drip stop. Not sure why they took that out but relying on the drip tray is a terrible flaw.

I is a great small footprint coffee make. If you not in the kcup world I would highly recommend getting on of these - the coffee was outstanding and easy to make. The built coffee measure was absolutely great and made clean up a breeze. The speed was ok and inline with a n other single cup brewer. Bottom line is if you are tied to your favorite ground coffee then this is a must

This is one of the easiest to use hot or iced coffee makers that I've tried. Obviously, any coffee maker can make hot coffee, and then you could pour it over ice, but this system makes it easy to get a consistent brew time after time! It includes a 2-sided scoop for measuring your coffee depending on whether you are making a hot or iced beverage. The included tumbler has a water measurement for iced coffee to make up to 22 oz, and the machine can make up to 16 oz of hot coffee. This is a pod-free coffee maker so it’s good for the environment and saves money! The unit comes with a single-serve reusable filer, a reusable tumbler, a lid, and a straw. But you can also brew into your favorite cup! As with all drip coffee makers, the closer the top of the cup is to the coffee outlet the less splashing will occur. It has a very slim form and will fit on the smallest counter, and the scoop is stored in a recess in the coffee maker, so you don’t lose it! The only clean-up required is to rinse the coffee filter and brew basket.

I wouldn't consider myself a coffee conessoure but I can definitely tell the difference between a good and bad coffee maker. This is one of the good ones. It has 2 settings, hot coffee or iced. From that point, everything else is pretty basic coffee maker stuff. Load up the coffee basket, add water, then boom! Coffee. I really like the slim design of the coffee maker. I have a small kitchen with limited counter space. It fits it perfectly without taking up too much room. The color was an interesting choice. Not bad, but interesting. I really like the tumbler that came with it. It can be used for hot or cold beverages. Overall I really like this and use it almost every morning. It saves me from going to a coffee shop and buying a coffee everyday. Plus it tastes better since I can customize it.

This single-serve coffee maker is very easy to use. It comes with a reusable cup and straw for when you make it over ice which has the measurement lines on it to ensure you make it right each time. The reusable gold filter is a plus and makes it easy to clean up and get ready for the next one. There are two different buttons, one for hot and the other for iced. It heats up quickly and whether hot or cold, both come out pretty quick. The overall design is nice and fits well on the counter without taking up too much space and since we have a lot of light blue in our kitchen, it matches perfectly.

All I have wanted out of my coffee so far as someone who is new to it was simple and easy. I am still learning about all the different tastes and types and am a bit overwhelmed by it all so keeping it straightforward is currently my preference. This little coffee maker fits the bill perfectly as far as what I am looking for. My wife and I both enjoy coffee, but I will only drink iced and she prefers hot. So, something that can do both in a single serve format is perfect for us and that is what this is. We had a k-cup maker before this which required a lot of maintenance and even using a reusable k-cup with grounds of our choosing left a lot to be desired from a flavor standpoint. That is not an issue with this model. It has a very large reusable filter that can handle more grounds than we had ever previously been able to use for a single cup, and as a result coffee now tastes even better than we knew possible. I can get much larger servings as well which is something I lamented with the k-cup type of machine. The Mr. Coffee single serve unit produces hot or iced coffee quickly and is easy to use with a little bit of portion testing required to get used to how it does things. It includes a tumbler that is intended for making the perfectly proportioned iced coffee and it does exactly that, giving me a nice 22-ounce iced coffee that is not watered down and tastes very flavorful. The basic rule of thumb for iced coffee with this machine is 50% of the capacity of whatever cup you use of water in the reservoir, then fill the cup up all the way with ice, and finally brew your taste of grounds. Hot coffee is much simpler as it is only a matter of putting the amount of water up to 16 ounces you desire and matching that up with however much grounds you would prefer for the strength. It also has a two-sided scoop that snaps into the side of the unit for storage for measuring the perfect amount of grounds for either iced or hot coffee, and measuring water is made easier by the built in steps in the reservoir indicating 6, 8, 12, and 16 ounces. It is easy to clean up and nice on the eyes with the blue and marble base that has a small footprint for keeping the counter tidy. I am very happy with how much better my coffee is with this than what I had experienced before. It does exactly what we wanted it to do and is so inexpensive and simple that it would be difficult to not recommend!

If you're like me and only drink 1 or 2 cups of coffee a day, then you'll love this coffee maker! It brews perfect coffee one cup at a time, every time. It's super easy to use, comes with an insulated tumbler, reusable straw, measuring scoop, and reusable filter as well, so no wasteful pods, or disposable paper filters. Whether you're in the mood for hot coffee, or iced coffee, this machine will have you sipping in pleasure in no time! I highly recommend this to everyone!

I enjoy drinking iced coffee, so when I saw this ice coffee maker I had to have it. The theory of this little ice coffee maker is that you make a stronger coffee that is going to be diluted with the ice. The coffee maker comes with a double ended scoop. One for hot coffee and one for iced coffee. The iced coffee scoop is over twice as large as the hot coffee scoop. The directions say you can use two of the larger scoops of ground coffee for iced coffee, but I typically only use one and it has enough flavor for me. The coffee maker comes with a clear insulated tumbler for iced coffee. The tumbler has a fill to line for water. You fill the tumbler with water up to the line, pour that into the water reservoir and then fill the filter basket with the coffee grounds. Then fill the tumbler to the ice line and put it in the coffee maker. Press the iced coffee button and wait a couple minutes until the coffee is brewed into your tumbler. At that time there is room to put some flavoring and milk, cream, half & half, etc... I enjoy mine with 5 pumps of Caramel and a shot of half & half. When making hot coffee, there is a different button for hot coffee. I don't know why there are two different buttons, but they do have separate brewing buttons for hot or iced coffee. When making hot coffee, there are markings in the water reservoir for 6, 8, 12 & 16 ounces. So you can make a coffee any size you like. My only complaint is that I go through a lot more ground coffee when making iced coffee, so be prepared to use more coffee when making iced coffee. Other than that, I'm very pleased with this little coffee maker.

So far I really like this coffee maker. The instructions included were clear and concise. I have used it for hot and iced coffee. Some of the features I like are: fast, quiet, uses regular ground coffee, no filter needed, coffee tastes good. One thing I think could be improved is that the cup that comes with it is not dishwasher safe. Would love to be able to throw in the dishwasher.

I've tried cold-brew coffee machines in the past, and I always have the same problem - they make way too much. I'm the only one who drinks coffee in my household, so having an entire pitcher of cold brew to go stale isn't ideal. Not to mention, an entire pitcher takes way too much ice to make. That's why I like this coffee-maker - it makes ONE serving, and does not use three entire ice trays to do so. There are other things to like as well - for instance, the fact that it comes with a reusable mesh coffee filter is a very nice touch. The removable drip tray is also great feature that makes it very easy to clean up any spills from making the coffee. The coffee machine looks nice as well, and the included tumbler and straw is pretty good quality. I also like that it does both hot and cold (in case I ever have guests who like hot coffee), and that it includes a measuring cup to get the perfect amount of coffee grounds without having to eyeball it. Best of all, it just works - if you're as inept in the kitchen as me, isn't that the best thing you could want? Overall, this coffee machine is well-made and a great addition to my kitchen. The one guest I've had since I got it loved it as well. If you love Starbucks but hate the price tag, this coffee maker is for you.

There's been quite a few improvements over the older version of this machine. It takes up more counter space, but it's still not much. What it does with the extra space is very much worth it. They added a drip tray for catching over fills or accidents which is a lot better than wiping up my daughter's mess. The drip cup has been reduced in size to allow for a more focused flow. Instead of having a slider to manually adjust the steep time they've added two options: Hot Coffee and Over Ice. One is a pretty stand cup of coffee but the over ice adds more time to make stronger coffee since the flavor is going to be diluted by the ice. I didn't check the temps, so I don't know if one is hotter. It makes a great cup of coffee whether it's iced or regular and beats the little pod type machines by miles. Instead of watered down coffee, you get the full flavor.

This Mr. Coffee cofee maker is a basic machine that just works. No fancy gimmicks, just great coffee. I love the height of it! Finally a coffee maker that fits my tall renaissance mugs. The built-in scoop on the side is a nice bonus feature. They state that you can use any coffee, not stuck with k-kups, but it would have been nice to see the k-kup adapter included if you want to use them. The basket and holder both come out, making this machine a bit easier to clean. A removable water tank would be a great next step. This machine brews really fast, 3:30 for 16 Oz! My old coffee maker took over 8. It works great for hot coffee as well as iced. There are buttons for iced or hot. I'm not sure why, because they both brew at 180°. If you want a great, easy coffee maker, I really recommend this one.

I am a coffee addict and I like to make my own coffee. I hate the weak mud water produced by the machine in my office that uses a certain type of “cup,” as it just lacks the body of a cup I can make at home. So for me, a standard drip machine or even a pour over style carafe makes all the difference. That being said, I am somewhat brand loyal. More specifically, I go for the brands that I know make a quality long lasting product, that produce what I want in this case. For that reason, I have always equated Mr. Coffee brand as a lower end product that a 20-something would have in their first apartment or in college. So for this review, I am simply going to go over the pros and cons of this coffee maker. Pros: 1. I get to use whatever coffee I want. 2. Reusable filter, no paper throw away filter needed. 3. Make it as strong or weak as you please. 4. Machine is equipped to make cold brew or hot coffee. 5. Make a standard cup of coffee (one serving) in a few minutes ONLY. 6. Machine has a small footprint and takes up very little counter space. 7. Easy to clean. 8. Comes with a nice cup for cold brew and a measuring spoon that stores on the side of the machine. Cons: 1. Plastic and very light, not as attractive as the pictures of the machine. 2. When it says cold brew, it just means it will allow you to brew into a cup with ice to create your personal cold brew drink. I think people believe it will make cold coffee for you, that simply is not the case nor is it how cold brew is typically made. 3. Single serve only. I know this is not really a “con” as this is a single serve machine only. But I am simply pointing out the face that it is the only option for you if you buy this machine. For a Mr. Coffee product this is a dramatic step forward and I feel it is a great attempt to gain a share of a unique market of coffee drinkers (cold brew). Personally? I use it at the office so I don’t have go use “cups.” I get a fast cup of coffee, with good results in a few minutes only. Yes, I have to clean the filter after every use, but one should expect that. If you are not a heavy coffee drinker, or like the idea of having a second machine to make the occasional cold brew, this is a solid and reasonably priced option for you. It is simple and intuitive. No frills here, just a very basic interface. Do you need it? Really, you could brew a pot at home and pour it into a similar cup over ice and get the same if not similar results. For that reason, I am using it at the office and not at home. I do recommend it for someone that meets the criteria I listed above. Like I said, it is unique in that it is breaking into a sort of dual purpose market, and to be honest I don’t know of anything similar at this price point. So that is a big win for Mr. Coffee. For me? I am still on the fence on this one, but it does serve its purpose in my office and I like the option for the occasional cold brew.

Poor quality. It only wored for few weeks and stopped brewing

This coffee maker has just the features I need. It does one job and it does it well! Actually, 2 jobs... I do a lot of traveling, and this coffee maker now has a home in my RV. Here's what's great about it: It's single-serve. You dump water into it from your coffee cup and you'll have exactly the right amount. Even so, the reservoir has steps in it that easily tell you how much water is in it. The filter basket is re-usable. It uses coffee grounds, not kups or pods or anything, so you can get coffee for it anywhere. There's no compatibility problems. It makes the water really hot! It brews pretty quickly! Although, its indicator light goes out before it's completely finished, so you have to wait a couple of moments after it says it's done. It comes with a scoop, and storage for it. There's just two buttons! One for hot coffee, one for cold coffee. It comes with an insulated cup for iced coffee! It's a nice cup that I also use for water and soft drinks. It makes iced coffee! Bonus -- you can use iced-coffee mode without ice for a super strong hot cup of coffee. I really like this machine. For my purposes they got it right.

I have only used this maker for iced coffee and found that following the directions printed on the scoop & top of the unit made it too strong, however the speed with which it makes the coffee is great! It's a compact unit and they thought through *all* the aspects of cleanup with each part being easily removable and rinseable. I have found, though, that I have to put a lot more ice in my tumbler when using this vs just an espresso maker, presumably because of the duration that it's pouring the hot *percolated* coffee liquid over my ice. Nevertheless, I've been able to tune the output to my liking and use it every morning!

Broke after one week of use. Used the machine about 5 times as directed and stopped working. No power, no lights

Worked great for a month! A month! Now when you try to brew it nothing happens but flashing lights. There’s nothing in the manual for what to do when this happens! It’s ridiculous.
