This item makes an excellent gift for the coffee drinker. Especially a single person or individual using individual servings of coffee..

I had some high hopes for this little coffee maker, but it was just a waste of my time and money. I had a Keurig Elite that made ok but slightly metal tasting coffee last year, took it back. This past Christmas I bought a Keruig VUE that uses different pods. The VUE makes a good cup of coffee, so I thought that I would give the K-Cups another try and try the Mr Coffee at work. The result was an epic fail. If you are a true coffee lover and really care how your coffee tastes the only option is the VUE.
For what its worth I found the cup mechanism to be easy to use and the controls were simple but you have to select the brew size before turning on the machine.

Don't buy it

This is the most expensive piece of cheap plastic I ever bought. Terrible. I had it about a month and the hinge that holds the coffee down broke off. Even before that it was finicky and I have to restart it. It's just a terrible coffee maker and I rather have a $12 coffee maker than this piece of plastic that is caused more issues that are so unnecessary just to make a freaking cup of coffee.

Didn't Last Long

After a few months, I had to dismantle it to clean out the filter. A few more months after that, I had to dismantle it again, but this time it wasn't fixable. The motor that takes the water from the reservoir to the heating component died.

I bought it to save $30 rather than buying a Keurig. Tries it once and it took forever to warm up and brew. It was also rather difficult to close the K-up lid. Taking it back and getting a Keurig.
