The idea this is near the end of his life- so Holmes is far slower, and so is the story. Still, Ian does a great job and makes you believe he really is Holmes.

Interesting to see the BBC was involved. A good movie looking at Sherlock after he 'retired' its hard to imagine a charecter like Sherlock Holmes retiring

With all the Sherlock Holmes movies and television shows out there this one ranks pretty high for me. It’s a different take on a story told so many times by so many people. Sir Ian Mckellen is excellent. I highly recommend it.

This movie was a great example of what's old can be new again. It's not the same as the old but proves to provide a great lesson along the way.

I found this movie to be quite delightful as you take a glimpse into how Sherlock might be when he retires. It has a pleasant mystery in it and was well worth the time. I would definitely see it again.

A great story of an aged Mr. Holmes. What happens to to a hero who lives to an old,age? Most heroes never age. Kudos for this.

All Sherlock Holmes fans should really enjoy this film! Outstanding Actor in Holmes as an older but still analytical detective! The story was outstanding and was in the Sit Arthur Conan Doyle style!

I watched this movie with my wife had a great time watching this movie, really like the fact that there no violence just a very good movie to enjoy

Ian Mckellan is superb as Holmes. A very different take on the character which is both original superbly acted. Mckellan is a perfect counterpoint to the Cumberpatch version

Homes knows and always finds out and it's cool how he works it out so watch it to see how he does it

This movie takes place in the declining years of Sherlock Holmes life, at his country estate in England, after World War 2, in 1947. Holmes looks to be in his late 80's and his physical and mental condition is in a downward trend. If you are into all things Holmes, see this movie. The story is a bit quirky though and somewhat charming, in an English way.

Outstanding performance by the master Ian mckellen, and the supporting cast . Well worth watching.

A very well done movie. Shows a very different approach to to Sherlock Holmes. Very enjoyable.

I saw this at the theater and had to add it to my collection. Ian M does not disappoint as Mr. Holmes. Its a bit of a mystery and just an overall feel good movie.
