MSI has an entry level gaming laptop with the Bravo 15. It comes with a two GPUs. One AMD for everyday standard use and an NVIDIA 4050 for gaming. It has has an AMD CPU which, so far, is running well. This has 16GB of RAM which is enough for most games. The case is well designed and construction is good. It comes with 3 USB-A ports, one USB-C port, and an HDMI port. The keyboard is RGB lighted and certainly makes the keys easily visible in low light. It also has a number pad, however, the num pad is a bit small due to limited space. The track pad is smooth and responsive. The LCD is not as good as I was expecting, but that may not matter to you if you will typically have this connected to an external monitor. At this price range/level though, the laptop display should be a little better. I have it connected via HDMI to a Samsung G9 49" monitor and it has no issues running at 5120x1440 resolution. Also, the refresh rate is really good. For a gaming laptop, the weight isn't bad. The bottom of the case has good venting the help with moving air through the case. It comes with a 512GB SSD which is a little small these days when it comes to storing games. It also has an updated Wi-Fi NIC supporting the latest Wi-Fi. While gaming online, I was able to see as low as 35ms latency to servers. That's the best I've every had with online games. I was able to get really good frame rates with FPS games such as Battlefield 2042, etc. Everything was very responsive in all of the games I've ran. The NVidia 4050 plus the AMD CPU is able to handle more than just basic games. If you are a gamer who streams, you would be able to do that with ease with the Bravo 15, but if you record your video, then edit it in a NLE, then you might run into problem with the Bravo 15. I recorded game play of Diablo IV, opened the video in Davinci Resolve, edited it, then rendered the video. While editing it, I didn't see any problems, however, when I rendered the final video, I was getting 7 frames per second while rendering it. It was a 7 minute video clip of game play that took 29 minutes to render. I updated the NVidia gaming drivers and that is what I was using. The AMD CPU was running around 75% usage and the 4050 GPU was spiking up to 90%, but this might be due to the drivers being gaming drivers. MSI has a good entry level gaming laptop with the Bravo 15. The screen could be better and the SSD a bit larger capacity, but this is a good laptop to get into gaming and for those who are on a limited budget. If this fits you, then definitely consider the MSI Bravo 15 as a possible option for you.

It’s a good laptop I just wish the battery life was longer since when it’s plugged in the fps drops but excluding that’s it’s overall a good laptop.

THE BREAKDOWN: This MSI - Bravo 15 15.6" 144hz Gaming Laptop FHD - Ryzen 5-7535HS with 16GB RAM - GeForce RTX 4050 with 6G GDDR6 - 512GB NVMe SSD isn’t packed with all the thrills but very basic. It comes with comes with the laptop itself and the charger. The setup was mainly like any other setup of a new computer. I did run into a few snags such as the updates didn’t take the first time and it seemed like it took forever to get them installed. The design like I mentioned above is pretty basic. It is a thick black plastic laptop that looks to be heavy but really isn’t that heavy. For me this laptop did not scream, hey I’m a gaming laptop it is more like hey this is my business laptop. It has some rubber feet to keep it from sliding while offering some airflow for the bottom. What kind of ports does this laptop offer, 3 USB-A ports, one USB-C port, HDMI out, Ethernet port and 3.5mm headphone jack. What is under the hood: You get 16GB of DDR5 Ram, NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics, AMD Ryzen 5-7535HS, 512GB NVMe solid-state drive and 15.6” full HD display with 1920 X 1080 resolution with 144Hz refresh rate. Performance was blazing fast in my opinion. With a 6 core, 12 thread AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS CPU, 16GB of DDR5-4800MHz Ram. I tried to open about 50 tabs on both Google Chrome and edge while playing music and Netflix and this thing didn’t even shutter. The battery life seemed to be pretty good and surprising, I got over 4 hours while gaming and playing music in the background. PRO’s: - Easy to get up and running - Lightweight - 16GB memory - 512GB hard drive CON’s: - Budget gaming - Limited port options for this price point SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they were in the market for a product like this.
