Great board for beginners or experts. Great price and good design. Will do most everything you want it to do. Gaming, videos, work and more. This is the 2nd one i bought. First one still works great a year later.

A Mom, a Geek Squad, and the MSI B550 Gaming Plus:

When I bought the MSI B550 GAMING PLUS Motherboard, let’s just say my tech expertise was… nonexistent. The idea of installing it myself was as likely as me winning a marathon. So, I did the smart thing – I handed it over to the pros at Geek Squad. Why I Love It (From a Distance): 1. Looks Cool: It’s got a sleek design that even I can appreciate. 2. USB-C and PCIE Gen 4: I’ve been told these are good things. They sound impressive! 3. Fits Perfectly: Thanks to the Geek Squad, it’s sitting perfectly in our PC case, no hiccups. My Lifeline: The Geek Squad: After purchasing the motherboard and a Best Buy membership (worth every penny), I entrusted this high-tech puzzle to the Geek Squad. They took this mysterious motherboard from me at 7 PM, and by 7 AM the next morning, it was transformed into the heart of a gaming beast. For the Tech-Impaired (Like Me): If you’re puzzled by anything more complicated than a toaster, I highly recommend the Best Buy care plan. The Geek Squad turned what could have been a DIY disaster into a tech triumph. Mom-Approved, Kid-Adored: Since its installation, the MSI B550 has become the star of our family’s gaming life. I may not understand all the buzz about ATX and PCIE, but the smiles on my kids’ faces? That I get. Conclusion: The MSI B550 Gaming Plus is a fantastic piece of technology (so I’ve been reliably informed). If you’re a tech novice, save yourself a headache and let the Geek Squad work their magic. It’s a game-changer, literally.

Killer motherboard. No issues no problems at all. Smooth windows install. Built my boy a gaming PC for Christmas. Lots of features on the back end of the board and excellent sound. Add an AMD ryzen five for ultimate value and still get ultimate performance. Don't forget the graphics card, 360 is the best bang for the buck. Cannot be happier with the performance of this machine with this motherboard in play.

It works as intended. It is a real cool motherboard and works well with my new AMD 5600x. I have no problems with it so far. Yes, it will work with the 5000 series CPU right out of the box, it should have a sticker on the box that says that. Here is a picture of what the box should look like with the sticker if you're curious. Please note if it does not have that sticker, you will have to update the bios. All and in most, I would recommend this product if you are interested to build your own pc, especially for your first time.

Worked amazingly! It’s been a few weeks since I purchased it, I got it because I was working on my old motherboard and bricked it, and this came in clutch! First attempt, and it booted instantly with no problems! Love the bios format, once I figured out how to navigate it for what I needed of course. Would highly recommend though, definitely the better motherboard you could get on here for the price.

Beautiful motherboard with more than enough USB ports, have not yet tried the lab connection but it’d imagine it’s reliable and fast, would love if it included wifi but that comes at an extra cost I did not want to pay since I recently got an expensive 3080 luckily my cousin had a wifi adapter that I could use, my system boots up 10 times faster than the motherboard that my 30l gaming pc came with, has its own motherboard which is very cheaply made and small. Wish I could see the RGB but my gpu is too big.

Could not be happier. First experience with building a PC and have not had any issues since initial start up. Very easy to install and set up. I wish I had bought the board with WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities but don't really use those often. Knowledge learned for next build.

Great starter MB for the price!

This is a great starter MB if you are looking to dip your toes into customizing and building your own gaming rig. Not too expensive but modern enough to fit newer memory and storage (I use new RAM and the m.2 for storage), I've tried both Radeon and Nvidia GPU's and both works great. I initially used this MB to build an entry level gaming pc for my brother-in-law and will look to something similar or maybe even the same one to build one for my son. Definitely would recommend.

This is my first PC build since Athlon 64. The board was easy to install. Instructions were easy to understand and setting up my 5800X with M2 and Ram was simple. Connections are clearly labeled and explained in the manual. Overclocking using the one click setup had me running @4.8Ghz and 3600 on memory with no issues. I like the MSI Dragon Center app for monitoring temps and speed. Works great with my RTX card. Fast doing anything.

Overall, a solid modern mobo with all the features needed to get started. Very stable and compatible with a broad range of components and GPUs. I had issues with our old mobo not working with nVidia, but this one worked great.

I upgraded from a B450M motherboard. This is a very good board for the price. My only (very minor) complaints have to do with cable management, where most of the cables will plug in right at the bottom of the board, almost flush with my case, and it can be hard to manage in an aesthetically pleasing way. Also, the MSI Center (not required) software isn't too good. I am currently using this with a r5 5600x and rx 6600.

So I bought this Dec 2020, but didn't put my computer together until like March 2021. I've had no issues so far with the board. Now I actually added another m.2 which was bigger and it took me awhile to figure out I needed to make that one the main one so I had to swap the M.2 around. I feel I have enough USB and this board can support up to 128 of Ram which I currently have 64.

Worked right out of the box with my Ryzen 5 5600G and Radeon 6700XT. Ran into an issue where it would restart when trying to play game. After trying to update the bios, the issue was fixed. Super easy for my first pc build.
