I've only used this laptop for a short time, and I bought it for mild gaming, and main computer usage (desktop replacement) for everything else from streaming movies to internet browsing. Have only played Fortnite on it, and although you can't go on highest settings for the ray tracing (all settings in this area, not ray tracing specifically), it does an amazing job in running the game smoothly on 4K TV (HDMI connection). I haven't really played directly on laptop set to 1080p as of yet. Everything else runs smooth. I am very use to the Mac track pad, so the track pad similar to the Mac is what I would like on this laptop, as you need to press hard for clicking. I am not a fan of tap to click, so that is my only gripe about the track pad. Also the battery life on just browsing the internet is about 3 hours, maybe 4 on 80% charge. Would like to see a lot more. Maybe I don't have the optimal settings - I still have to play with this. Don't have this kind of issue on my Mac though - just saying. Fans can also get pretty loud when gaming, but not an issue for me. Just happy to know the the CPU is getting adequate cooling. Overall great laptop, and happy with my purchase thus far compared to other laptops in this price point. I really like the specs, which is what had me sold on this model.

Wicked fast beast, quiet, built strong, stunning video!!! My wife got an MSI Stealth a year ago, and I couldn't help but fawn over watching her game on that machine all year. I was an Alien fan, but now I have the MSI Raider and there's no looking back. We are definitely an MSI family now. The Raider is a gorgeous machine, and i am beyond ecstatic about my purchase.

This is my first high quality laptop purchase and I was not disappointed. The MSI GE66 has an amazing quality build. The lights on the computer Very nice . The laptop will run any game at max settings and stay relatively cool in the process. An extremely quality product and worth the cost if you are in the market for a top of the line gaming computer.

Only recently got it but so far so good. I've put a little bit over 50 hours on it, with one game session being about 6 hours, and I haven't had any issues running games on high or ultra settings. So far I've played Apex, MW, and Outer Wilds and have no complaints on how they look or run. Fans do run a little loud but playing with head phones on you barely hear it.

TL;DR An incredibly strong computer all-round, not ideal for using portably, but definitely worth your money. Pros: Fast loading times, good build quality, very nice high refresh rate monitor, incredibly strong performance (150+ FPS on multiple taxing games at max settings) Cons: Horrible and inconsistent battery (1-3 hours, even with basic tasks like browsing through chrome), loaded with useless software,

Love the screen, the GPU is absolutely awesome (check my 3DMark Timespy score, I thinks its numero uno, in the world, but might have got knocked down since the day I ran the benchmark). The 2070 super in this laptop out performs the 2080 max-q I have in my Legion, by a mile. The GPU also has plently of headroom. The CPU is also an excellent performer and (don't tell your mom) if you use throttlestop, you can undervolt the cpu and cache to -.150ish to increase the headroom, and also set the multiplier of all the cores to max, giving you an additional 10% cpu performance. All of whcih can be done because the thermal solution on this laptop is excellent out of the factory, and can be even further enhanced with a top tier paste (above 10W/mK). But don't open it unless you know what you're doing - this one's a breeze to work on though. I am seriously getting better performance than most 2080s, max-q, max-p, whatever version you like. Also, it comes in around the performance of a 3070 max-q, if you care. Only downside is I wish it had a ryzen 9 CPU. Oh well.

For being so slim it runs so amazing and smooth. Ive been playing Warzone, Halo MCC and Destiny 2 mainly and they all look so amazing on it on Highest settings. The only downside ive had so far is it can get very warm, so I bought an external fan pad to place underneath and its seems to keep it running cooler for those long night play sessions. I recommend it.

Love it the graphics are beautiful. I use it both for online gaming and school. It runs amazingly and doesn’t get overheated with hours of use.

I've had gaming laptops before but they were always slow and had their performance issues. Once I opened up this one I fell in love with the design and the fast performance. The 32gb of ram definitely helps boost workflow and tasks. The 8gb rtx 2070 super helps me work fast with creative software. The 1 tb SSD is super fast too. All in all definitely worth it.

I am so impressed by the speed, the sleek design and the power of this gorgeous laptop. My boyfriend is going to use this for his masters engineering programs and he is so glad to have this, as it is such a reliable laptop. Great sound quality as well, unlike anything else I have ever seen. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the market for a laptop!

Runs very smoothly. A little loud when fans running full speed but I'd much rather some noise than the unit overheating. Also I don't hear it much with my headset on. That would be the only real potential problem I've dealt with, even though it's not a problem for me. I've only had the laptop a short while but it has only been amazing.

I did a lot of research on a good laptop that I will use for the next couple of years. I was between the asus g14 and this one. I ended up buying this one since it has a better display, better graphics, more ports and the design is amazing. The only thing is that fans are a little bit loud but not like a PC and if you use headphones you won't notice :)

I have had the laptop for a few days now and it is a monster it runs everything flawlessly it runs games like a champ gears 5 at 105fps at ultra settings and and I have consistently gotten well over 200 fps in overwatch on ultra settings this thing is amazing and the build Quality is great its def the best laptop I have ever had I love it.

This is my first gaming computer, and even though its a laptop it blows my friends pcs out of the water. The 240hz screen is awesome for gaming. The RGB keyboard and aurora light strip make it even cooler. This computer runs so fast, it can handle any game I throw at it no matter the graphic setting. Would definitely recommend this laptop.

This is my first time buying this brand and I love it! It works quick and the keyboard is very comfortable. Everything opens quickly and the quality of the screen is amazing! I use it mostly for work and school work and everything works quickly and I get everything done. Totally recommend for those gamers and engineers/architects!

I am pretty impressed so far. The build quality looks on par with a machine this expensive, and the speed seems great. Will need more time to test. Downside is that I will not be able to do much testing or playing with my new laptop because I'm working overtime to pay off the lien I put on my house to buy this beast. All good... I'm on that Ramen noodle diet now and my kids are wearing last year's clothes in order to support me on this unnecessary purchase.

I bought this laptop to replace an older MSI model that I had. This was a seriously goodbye. The 2017 super is awesome for gaming and graphics. The PC has more than enough power to handle anything I throw at it. Yes the fans do get loud as others have said but it's not that big a deal. This is a great Buy

So far, so good. Even being a gaming laptop it is serving me great for architectural design Softwares. Pricewise it is the most reasonable one I could find on the market. In terms of specs and price I completely recommend it, overall to those architecture students and designers that need to use often more than 4 different Softwares at a time for render and drawing purposes.

I just got this thing today and already loaded everything I could on to it. It's still lightning fast and you can't even tell anything is running. So far it's quiet and clean. Great design as well. I specifically went more expensive to get something that could compare in design to something like a MacBook.

Great speeds. POWERFUL machine right here. I would say, if you're a gamer, be careful of running Vanguard with Dragon Center. But, other than that, it is amazing. I want to perform preventative maintenance on this thing with Geek Squad to make it last. I got a 3 year coverage on this bad boy as well.
