Thermals are great. Performance is very good. The build material is aluminum and not plastic. Love the RGB built into the front and the keyboard. Games look great with the 240hz refresh rate.

Just got the laptop today, did a bunch of test so far so good, loving the RGBs top does get a little hot but that's expect considering whats in this machine. Will update this review in a week.

Overall does what I wanted which was to edit videos and allows me to render the videos in a fraction of the time as my old laptop. The one draw back is the fan is noticiable.

Great all around laptop, good battery life for a gaming laptop. The graphics card runs siege at 240 fps, cod mw around 90 on high settings. Haven't had a single problem with it.

Excellent laptop, graphics, speed, and cooling. Only drawback is the battery life. They claim 50 hours but in actual gaming 3-4 hours. I assume doing simple tasks it would last that long but why buy a gaming laptop for simple tasks? Overall it is a solid laptop. I would recommend.

Great laptop. Build quality is good except for the hinges on the bottom so be careful when removing it. Very good performance not bad thermals, and average laptop noise.

I am not the user, but my 12-year-old grandson is - and he extraordinarily happy with this gaming laptop. It is fast, responsive, has a great refresh rate, and looks great!

excellent and very fast gaming computer i use it for work for 3d engineering. love it only downside is that it is very heavy

Very good laptop, looks and runs wonderful. Runs a bit hot over 80c in some games. Will have to tune settings. Also a bit pricey due to the gpu which will price drop soon.

Was debating whether to get this one for 500$ discount off or the asus rog g14 for 300$ off in term of pricing point and value... decided to take the bait.. omg.. this is such a beast lmao, 20MBS+ per sec download speed and power specs.. screen quality.. its perfect! Although I really dislike the speaker. It lacks the base sound quality and it’s just overall not loud enough for its price point. Nonetheless, my love for this laptop grows the more I look at it ☺️. I just wish the speaker could speak for itself too. Definitely great buy if you have the budget and got the 500$ off deal. Hope to last for a couple years.

I'm loving it so far. I bought a base with a fan to make sure it stays cool(because it does get warm), but it runs anything I throw at it.

I bought this because I go back and forth between my house, and my girlfriends house, It is exactly what i wanted in a laptop, the fans do get a little loud, when i'm at my house, I purchased a cooling pad for it, that does a great job helping keep it quiet, If you are going to get a external monitor, make sure you keep up with the 240 hz on it. and you can have it setup just like a desktop if you wanted (while desktops are cheaper this is for mobility) I strongly recommend going with this if you are considering wanting to get into streaming, and have something that will last with games coming out, or even any video editing.

I prefer to have a laptop over a desktop just for the convenience of using it on a couch, away from the desk. I use it both for gaming and work, to which the performance it provides is an excellent value. The only drawback is that the fans are very loud, which is to be expected, but it will be loud enough to annoy yourself and others around you. On the plus side, they do a great job at ventilating the heat, and the fan speed is adjustable via the preloaded software. This was my first MSI laptop, and I'd gladly buy another MSI down the line just from this experience.

This laptop is best for gaming & school! As the graphic card has a really good graphic. Especially for gaming cod has the best performance i've ever had before! Recommended!

This is the best laptop in it's price range. Keyboard is clicky with good travel. The fans keep it cool especially with cooler boost on. Battery life seems better than the i5-1065g1 in the laptop I returned that claimed 8.5 hours and was only 4 tops. I would expect over 6 hours with light use and battery saver turned on, just beware that battery saver makes it slow down a lot. The screen is bright and no dead pixels. Backlight bleed is minimal in the bottom corners, nothing to be concerned about. Colors are accurate and 240hz 1080p is great on a 15.6 inch screen. Trackpad is good and clicky. Build quality is very good , aluminum screen lid and keyboard deck. Upgradable ram and extra nvme slot. Per key rgb is fun to play with and set up for games, as well as the led light strip in the front. Very fast GPU, full powered Nvidia RTX 2070 super max-p which allows for overclocking, but it's not needed yet as this handles any game available right now. The temps are great. It's faster than to rtx 2080 max-q so avoid that one. The GPU clocks higher than the standard rtx 2070 laptops out there, so don't believe some of the videos on YouTube that claim it runs the same as the standard rtx 2070. I don't use RTX ray tracing in games, but if you want it for that, you might want to wait for the 3000 series to be available around January 2021. I wanted a super powerful laptop now and this is it. It out preformed my GTX 1080 on my desktop so I have confidence it will be future proof for at least the next 4-6 years. By then, I expect streaming of online gaming to be the replacement and, any laptop will work at that time. If you want a powerful well built machine now, the buy this while they are available. They sell out fast. I first purchased the hp omen with ryzen 7 and 1660ti, the ryzen is more powerful with its 8 cores 16 threads as this has intel i7 with 6 cores 12 threads, but the 1660ti is no match for the RTX 2070 super max-p. Just buy it already.

Runs really fast, plays games seemlessly on higher graphical settings and the overall design of the laptop is outstanding.

It’s beautiful. Runs games buttery smooth. It’s a 2070 super, NOT max q, this thing beats the 2080 super max q. 32GB dual channel RAM goodness. Runs relatively cool.

Needed to upgrade my computer. The performance, speed, and display did not disappoint. There is no lag and the speeds are incredible. Would definitely recommend.

I just received this in the mail today and starting off from the packaging I was stunned. MSI takes the entire experience of this laptop very seriously. I was especially impressed when turning on the computer and seeing the colors vibrantly moving across the keyboards. The keyboards themselves are really crisp to the touch and click. They are not too low to the laptop and have some depth to them. The outside shell is also aesthetically pleasing. As for the use of the computer I already started photo editing, and some heavy software design and ethical hacking. I would definitely buy this twice.
