If you need a powerhouse PC with some portability, this is it. Excellent graphics processing and the light show is cool too. Note, this is workhorse is not really optimal for portability but meaning it’s kind of big, heavy, and loud with a gigantic power pack. Serious computing power needs a lot of power and powerful fans so it is what it is in that regard. No compromises here when it comes to powerful performance. I used it to edit and render an hour long 4K video project. What took my other computer hours to render and lots of laggy headaches, this MSI handles it smoothly and rendered in minutes rather than hours. Live streaming is about flawless on this computer. Excellent graphics processing. Crisp matte finish HD screen. Super fast in every way. Bottom line, if performance is your top priority and you don’t mind a little bit of a noisy chunky build, this is an excellent powerhouse laptop!

Super laptop I've ever owned. Amazingly fast. I wanted to powerful Laptop that would last a long time. I can run any program and multitask as well as play games and it won't ever slow down. If you're looking for a great gaming laptop look no further!

Pros: - Ridiculous amount of RAM (32gb AND an additional 8gb of VRAM is absolutely insane and I love it.) - The screen resolution is also wild. Everything on it looks absolutely beautiful, and you can change your screen mode on the fly (personally I like to keep mine set to 'Gamer' but movie mode is also pretty nice). -The preinstalled programs let you customize literally almost everything about it from the color of your keyboard to setting personal bandwidth limits. Cons: -The speakers on the laptop aren't very good, but if you primarily use headphones like I do anyway, it's not really a problem. -There's no num pad, but again, that's not too much of an issue.

Great laptop, fan is a little loud and runs continuously, but that is only when you are asking for it to do a lot...like have photoshop on 1 monitor and Lightroom on an other editing photos.

Flawless so far, although the fans are pretty loud compared to my Acer Predator Helios 500. MSI True Color seems to work great as well and there's a noticeable color quality improvement on my dual external screen setup compared to the Acer.

I would recommend this if you want a full graphics card in your laptop. Has been able to run everything well and is running comparable fps to my pc which has a 1080. Have tested games such as Modern Warfare Warzone, League of Legends, Rocket League and CSGO.

Love this laptop, and got it on sale at the $1699 price which is a great deal for the specs. The good is self-explanatory, so let me just make a quick note of some of the bad: - No Thunderbolt support, so you have to power your external monitors separately. Even my cheapo Dell laptop has Thunderbolt support. - The Killer wifi software is crap. The driver is fine (it's a rebranded Intel driver and Killer says it is verbatim from Intel). Just uninstall all the Killer Performance software that comes with it. I was losing wifi connection constantly and getting some weird network performance during my gaming. Removing all their software cleaned performance up nicely.

I do everything from work to gaming to game creation, this laptop does it all extraordinarily. Couldn't hope for a better lap top, and the price is very good considering what you get for your money.

This is a fantastic gaming computer. It runs beautifully and is very quick. The battery life is better than I expected as well. It's portable but also pretty sturdy, which has been really great while at college. Overall, it's an awesome laptop!

This is the best gaming laptop that I have had the experienced with. I have own 2 prior to this one. The overall feel of the laptop is amazing and the aesthetics are pleasing to the Eye. The performance on this laptop is amazing better than most desktops.

Using this for video creation with Premier Pro. My old laptop was around 10 minutes to export a video and this one is doing the same video in about 3-4mins. A much needed upgrade and for the gamers out there, I was getting close to 200FPS on Fortnite.

Thus far this computer is working as expected. I am not a gamer but I am a photographer and I needed a faster computer to do my batch processing of photos quickly. I also needed a smaller computer to travel with that could do quickly processing. I HATE THE MYSTIC LIGHT and want to permanently turn it off. I do want the keyboard lights on so I can turn down the light.

Awesome laptop. Bought this for my son l. I have the alienware m17 r3 and after playing with the GE66 Raider I asked if we could swap. Compared to m17 r3 this one is cooler and more quiet and the 32gb ram gives you a lot of future proofing.

I absolutely love this laptop. I thought I wanted the newest Tiamat from MSI to replace my Dominator Dragon Edition. However, I have come to know I do not need all that power. This laptop runs everything I could ever want it to and then some. I purchased an Asus before this but it kept overheating and I returned it. Thankfully I was able to reuse the SSD I'd purchased for the Asus in this MSI. It does not get too hot and if I do feel it heating up a bit, turning the fans on turbo for about a minute cools it right down. The multiple USB ports work wonders for me with the number of devices I have to connect. I absolutely love the RGB features. I don't actually play A LOT of PC games, but I do play games like WoW, Final Fantasy XIV Online, Sims 4, etc. and they all run wonderfully

Great laptop...runs every game I've thrown at it from grand theft auto 5 to warzone. Battery life could be better msi control center allows calibrating batter as well as additional features. Gorgeous laptop and lots of fun for amy gamer.

Needed a laptop that could handle Adobe Illustrator for work travel and the occassional casual game. This successfully replaces my dinosaur of a former laptop that no longer handles opening Steam. The fact that it was on sale didn't hurt.

very fast computer but does run hot when playing high graphics games

I am a writer and find this easy to write on. My old system was nearly ten years old. This system has been great. The extra memory even allows me to use backgrounds in Zoom meetings. I am able to run all my programs and my multiple browser windows.

The laptop overall is great but I just can't get past the issue with it heating up and the fans being super loud. I know that gaming laptops are hot by nature but this thing gets hot just playing simple games and also the fans just kick up a storm....I'm surprised because MSI touts their new cooling system.

I am an avid gaming, consistently on PC. I have several HIGH quality desktops. I have had in the past, many different gaming laptops, even some high quality Sager's and Alienware models. Look, hands down, this MSI GE66 is a BEAST! Love it!, I have thrown every game I could at it and it handles them all on Ultra settings, best part about it? This laptop runs cooler then some of my desktops lol For the money ($1699) at the time writing this review, it is a STEAL!
