From all the the laptop price range this is the best one you can get! You get a 240hz screen( BETTER THAN MOST OF THE LAPTOP OUT THERE), gtx 2070 super Max-P gpu (NOT Q which is better), 1tb of SSD storage, and a memory of 32gb ram! Love it so far! Nice laptop design, rgb looking nice to show off, but can be turn off with a press hold of 2 keys, also made with steel series for the keyboard. Forgot to mention this laptop has better battery life than most of all the gaming laptops out there and also the battery is the max capacity to carry on an airplane!

With a 2070 Super this thing is fast. It's also a bit loud but that's expected, and it's more noticeable on a laptop (a mid-tower is probably just as loud but you would normally not have it so close). I'm not a huge fan of the touch pad. It seems to stick more than what I'm used to but it may just take some getting used to. Overall, if you're looking for that 2070 Super speed, this is the cheapest option without spending far more. I wish it would have come with the 8-core i7-10875 and I almost went with a Lenovo because of that, but the Legion 7i did not offer the 2070 Super so I decided on the faster GPU with MSI.

This is my first gaming laptop and I’m happy with it. I like the design, the performance and the front LED design. I just hope they built a more portable power adapter. It’ll definitely eat some space in my luggage when traveling. I’ve had the laptop for 4 days s I can’t say anything about reliability. First impression is good. Will update if there is any problem with it. The price is a little high tho compared to some of the same specs laptop around the market. Overall all, for now, I think it’s a good purchase.

It’s a beast. Has been tearing through everything I throw at it. I like that’s it’s super easy to upgrade. I did add another nvme drive to double the storage. I theory you could upgrade to 4tb of storage(2x2tb). The ram is also upgradable to 64gb if you are doing some production work, but I currently don’t have a need for it. If fan noise bothers you please note that it will get loud, but all that power needs some serious cooling. The MSI software isn’t that great but it can easily be removed.

This is a fantastic laptop, that is extremely fast and great for high graphics gaming. I ran a bench mark on Assassin's Creed Odyssey and averaged about 64 fps at ultra high settings, dipping to 39 for its lowest point. The screen refresh is absolutely stunning, even moving the mouse cursor across the screen is satisfying to look at. Only draw back to this beast is the speakers... if you are looking for a quality set of speakers built in, this might not be the laptop for you.

Maybe I just got lucky with mine but the thermals on this are great. Playing Gears 5 at max settings and Cyberpunk 2077 at mostly max and haven't seen the CPU over 81°, mostly hovers around 76. With discrete graphics I get about 2-3 hours as expected but this laptop has a mux switch activated through Dragon Center to use the integrated graphics and I can get about 8-9 hours with brightness lowered and the keyboard lights off but just using Word, internet browsing or watching Youtube videos. I would say now is a great time to get this laptop before stock runs out. They lowered the price by $300 with the new model being released. If about 10% performance increase is worth $300 to you then by all means go for the new model. You can also upgrade the RAM and there's an extra slot for a second NVMe m.2 SSD. Though, with 32GB at 2933Mhz I don't think you'll be needing to upgrade the RAM anytime soon. For the performance it's packing, it's pretty light and shouldn't bother you carrying it to/from work/school. The screen looks great, even being only 1080p. This model also comes equipped with a pretty decent webcam. The speakers are ok for a laptop but definitely nothing to brag about. The only negative I can really say about this laptop is that there is no Thunderbolt 3 or 4 connection, nor is there one on the new model which BestBuy wrongly claims there is. Thunderbolt would have surely increased the longevity of this laptop and it is on a lot of MSI's other models so I am slightly confused as to why this model is missing the connector.

Purchased this laptop today and it's been a struggle finding something that I truly love, however after seeing this laptop I knew it was the one for me. It runs my games great and the coloring of the keyboard along with the front of the computer is pretty great. I think this model fits right in with the gaming community. It's a little expensive, but if you want something nice that will last you awhile you should get this!

I bought this laptop on whim after minimal research and I just want to say how lucky I was to pick the best one on the market at this time because this machine is a gaming beast. It runs faster than my newly built ryzen 3900x desktop with an MSI 2080 super and other top-tier components. My 3dmark timespy score is consistently around 8100 and the temps stay super cool, around 75-83C during heavy gaming at max graphics, compared to the competitors busting out mid-90's and some even hitting 100C (looking at you, alienware/dell). So far it runs every game I could throw at it on max settings with ease: modern warfare/warzone, division 2, civilization 6, apex legends, jedi fallen order, etc. Additionally, the weight is perfect, form factor is nice, great build quality, and RGB is the best of any laptop currently available. I've been an MSI fan for a long time with their desktop GPU line-up and now they have made me a fan of their high level gaming laptops too.

With another kid on the way I bought this to replace my giant gaming “battle station”. Previous rig was an i9, RTX 2080 Ultra custom built PC, so I had big shoes to fill with my laptop. After days of reddit, YouTube, and general research I knew the MSI GE66 with the RTX 2070 Super was the best laptop in this price range. Screen: The screen is beautiful, colors pop and honestly I enjoy the quality more than my Alienware ultra wide for my PC. This laptop will make use of the 240hz screen on some of the less graphically intense games like Overwatch/Fortnite or WoW. Keyboard: I can’t talk about the keyboard to much because I use a external half keyboard but from typing emails and such I really enjoy the keyboard as well Thermals and Performance: As any laptop thermals are going to be high, but this is the first laptop that really displaces the heat amazingly! Stock temps were floating around 75-90c on ultra settings and typically hitting 140-200fps depending on the game. I always get a cooling pad/stand to raise the laptop up a little bit and probably cool it 1-2degrees, but the big money is in the repaste job with better thermal paste. Now my game sits between 70-80degrees. The fans get loud as expected but playing with head phones you won’t hear it and even if you’re using the speakers they will drown out the fans easy All in all in the $2k-$2.5k budget this laptop is a requirement. There’s a reason why it sells out same day it comes back in stock. Buy this thing.

My first laptop that I’ve owned in quite a while, and I gotta say it is BLAZING fast. Fired up Destiny on max settings and it didn’t even break a sweat. Aesthetics and design are top notch, and the lid/logo are made from a very nicely finished aluminum. Opening and closing the lid is buttery smooth. Highly recommend!! Can’t beat the 32 gigs of ram, either. Makes a huge difference.

I was choosing between this i7/32g of ram, or an i9 with 16g of ram. The extra ram was the deciding factor, and I'm glad I chose this one. It runs extremely fast. Some have complained about loud fan noise. Yeah, it's got monster fans on the bottom. I can live with that. I use this for audio and video production, and it just performs flawlessly.

Build quality is good. All materials except for the led strip feels premium. Weight could be improved and so is the quality of key caps. I have no issues with it performance wise, except that my ram memory empties when I don’t turn my computer off for more than 9 hours. My laptop only lasts for 3 hours steady use on battery but it is expected for a gaming laptop. Overall, the laptop does not feel flimsy but the led strip could use some work. It would also be better if it can last 6+ hours on battery.

Pros: -2070 Super Max-P, probably the best GPU for this price range, beats out the 2080 super max-q in most benchmarks. -Small and portable -not over the top design and can be stealthy if you disable the light bar. - Build quality is what you expect from MSI. - Big O' Battery Cons: - no thunderbolt. - no windows hello camera or finger print reader. - no gsync in the screen - really wish the trackpad was glass ans bigger Overall seems like a beast of a laptop. Gonna keep testing it out. runs Modern Warfare Warzone on Max at 1080 at 120-140 fps.

This gaming laptop by MSI can take a beating and a punch and anything you throw at it. The cooler 5 fan system really keeps the laptop nice and cool. The 1tb is enough for me and the graphics card in my opinion is the best one out there. 32gb ram is nice, there aren't any slow downs because of hardware in this computer. It's decently priced too.

This laptop is everything I could have asked for and more. I am relatively inexperienced when it comes to laptops, so I did a ton of research before settling on anything, and this what I ended up with. The laptop has a good build quality; nothing feels shoddy or like its going to break. The keyboard is pretty good and the trackpad is fantastic. RGB is great if you are into that, and when it is turned off the laptop look svery stealthy too. The display is nothing short of cutting edge, and the 2070 super max-p graphics card puts this machine near the forefront of graphics performance in a laptop. Cooling is very good for a laptop, I have yet to see the GPU go above 75C even when under stress. The CPU does heat up quite a bit under stress, but for the most part it lingers around 65-75C in games, and undervolting is an option too. The speakers are not that great, but the audio on the computer itself is pretty good. The include dragon center software is buggy, and most of its necessary functions can be replaced by other software such as Silent Option, Afterburner, Throttlestop, and HWiNFO64. If you are looking for a laptop with great performance and few flaws, the GE66 will provide.

This laptop is an absolute powerhouse with great specs; there's not really much you can throw at it to make it struggle right now making it a great investment over time. On the visual side of things, the RGB is great. Alongside the typical light up keyboard there's a light bar on the edge of the bottom hinge. Both are super customizable and you can even set them to turn different colors depending on the program you're opening. The screen is high resolution (1920x1080 I think?) and has an almost overkill 240 Hz refresh rate. There are some issues that come with housing such strong components (i7 10750H, RTX 2070 Super) in a small space, which is the fans. Playing Valorant for example, they run extremely loud, not enough to disrupt gameplay but you can't really tune them out (though I haven't played with headphones yet). This won't be a problem just browsing Chrome but if you value quietness a lot you won't like this. Personally it's a minor issue when I'm playing at 240 fps in Valorant, 120 fps in CoD Warzone (both at max settings), and up to 300 fps in Minecraft depending on settings and without Optifine. Overall it's very pricey for sure but it'll last you a really long time.

I wanted something powerful and portable that can run multiple programs, gaming or otherwise, without slowing down and this computer does the trick! The fans can be a bit loud and it can get a little hot depending on which program you use (I suspect that it wasn’t optimized well) but, again, wanted something powerful and compact so I can’t really fault the laptop. Nothing that a cooling pad and some noise-resistant headphones can’t fix and I happened to have those handy anyway. Would definitely recommend!
