Probably the best bang for your buck in terms of gaming on a budget. You can upgrade the ram & add extra ssd space if needed! Performance is great, you can run pretty much any game all the way up to cyberpunk 2077. Battery life is dependent on how you use it. Chrome drains everything but other browsers work well. Like any gaming laptop it will heat up so having a portable fan is great

The laptop is strong and does what I desire. My son loves that he can play Roblox and Halo with an actual decent frame rate finally. The fan can be a bit loud, but that is expected with a gaming laptop. The battery life is short, but we use his as a desktop for his room.

Going from a 2013-refurbished-2015 laptop to this badboy almost gave me whiplash. Outstanding speed, loads games as fast as my PS4 does. My only complaint is that it runs hot- upwards of 91°C sometimes- while playing games like Skyrim and The Sims 4, but I’m planning on getting a cooling pad soon so hopefully that won’t be a further issue. All in all a great laptop.

My kid is loving his new computer so far, we went from a piece of s#*t alienware to this and he is more than happy. He hasn't complained about any issues with his games and loves his larger screen with the refresh rate. I will tell you that his thing gets loud and hot so make sure it's sitting elevated to draw in more air.

Overall performance is very good. High end games performing very well. Two major issues are high fan noise and limited battery life. I am happy to have that laptop but battery life is really terrible even in low performance mode.

Got this laptop on a sale! Once I got my hands on it, I swapped out the stock ram and replaced it with 16GB of ram (dual-channel) and 500GB SSD and it is performing well! I mainly play New World (Amazon Games newest MMO release) and I put the graphical settings med/high and I get about 70-80fps outside the settlement and about 40-50fps inside populated settlements.

This is an excellent gaming laptop for most indie-lower AAA games. A few notable issues after 2 years of purchase is the Wi-Fi driver constantly malfunctions. An easy fix I found was to remove the battery for about an hour & reboot the pc afterwards.

This has proven to be a great price and product for upgrading myself from a previous laptop. Main intent was gaming, and I found this for sale $250 off, and at the time of writing, it is an even steeper discount. I see laptops for the price non-sale with a lesser GPU in it, so getting this was an amazing deal with a 3060 and other components. My game of choice went from 10-20 fps to 70-90 fps. I added another 8gb RAM and it is often 20 fps higher after that! So a great combo move for a low extra price after purchase. I hold off at 4 stars predominantly because it gets so wildly hot when I look at the CPU temperature while gaming. I can beat it down to 75-81 degrees Celsius with the fans manually set to the Cooler Booster mode, but then I worry that the fans will die early, so not sure with the heat/fan balance issues this laptop will last me as long as I would most like

Really great mid-range gaming laptop. I got it for right around $1k which is what some RTX3060 graphics cards alone are running for right now. The processor and ram are a bit of a bottleneck but both can be upgraded if you're able. Solid frames when plugged in and performs marginally well compared to my custom build desktop.

Cheap, fairly powerful & thin but corners cut.

It might be the cheapest RTX 3060 laptop, but it certainly is a product that cannot escape from all the cut corners. Let's talk about the reason anyone would consider buying this, the GPU. It is restricted, capped at a low wattage perhaps the lowest 3060 on the market. But even then, the GPU can run over up to 85c, when gaming for an hour or 2, which also effects the CPU temps when it was already struggling to cool. I've heard these things are just tradeoffs for being thin, but there are just as thin or thinner laptops that manage higher wattage GPUs, like 100w and can keep them below 80c. Admittedly, these laptops are most likely going to be more expensive but my point is these are corners cut for cost rather than it all being the result or a thin design. The next concern is the single memory module. 8gb is pretty darn low for modern games but the bigger issue is that with one stick, you will be running in single channel. Because of this, there is performance being left on the table. The first thing you will want to do if you buy this laptop is to get another stick of ram for it. The performance is not bad, just know that the temps will be on the high side. The CPU and GPU are going to scale back to keep from overheating. All these things you can get by with. But there was one thing I knew about beforehand that ended up bothering me far more than I ever could imagine. That is the screen. It sounds decent enough when reading the specs listed but if you do a little research, you will find it is not very bright. As unimpressive as this is, that was minor to me. It was the pixel response time that i didnt expect to bother me as much as it did. Motion blur being popular in games, the screens slow pixel response may not be an issue when swinging around or during fast side to side motion. But if you pan vertically, like looking down to up, ground to sky, or look down to up a mountain face, you get can see the slow pixel refresh in all its glory. Maybe you won't pan vertical often in too many games but it for sure was a surprise to me to see just how strange and weird things can be

I always use desktop PCs so this is my first lap top Got this at $800 on sale. Its a nice lap top that i use to study and gaming. For games on steam that are in early access like 7 days to die and a few other open world survival games I've noticed that it makes this run kinda hot. I will eventually buy one of those laptop fans to put under it to help out. Plus the memory is on the low side so definitely recommended buying some more to boost it to atleast 16gb. All in all this is mainly for me to study with and game when im on breaks. At $800 without shelling out cash for the extra stuff its really nice.

Great computer. I got it for 800 on a weekend deal. At that price point it far outpaces anything else that I could find. Battery life is about 2 hours though so that is the big downside. The smaller ram stick is also not ideal, but I haven't actually noticed any lag in performance because of it.

Worked well until about a month after the warranty expired, then the video started glitching. I still use it occasionally, I like how light and thin it is.
