Worked well until about a month after the warranty expired, then the video started glitching. I still use it occasionally, I like how light and thin it is.

I've been using this laptop for 4-5 months as an alternative way to play PC games while I'm traveling and finishing my online degree. So far, I've been pleased with the performance. The first thing I did was purchase another 8 GB memory module as the stock 8 GB wasn't sufficient to run most modern games and software. If you can catch this laptop on sale for less than $800, it's completely worth it. Below are the games that I've been playing and have been impressed with the performance. I would highly recommend getting a cooling pad as the CPU & GPU temps run hot after just a few minutes of game play, even with the laptop fan on performance/high settings. Escape from Tarkov - Low/Medium Settings - 55-75 fps CS:GO - Medium/High Settings - 80-100 fps GTA V - Medium/High Settings - 55-70 fps Tiny Tina's - Medium/High Settings - 55-70 fps

This laptop is good for gaming at a reasonable price. This laptop has a slim design with a red keyboard backlight which is good for working at night. It's a little hot when you play game but this doesn't impact the performance.

I bought this laptop for both school and to play some games during my free time. It works very well, I currently play Skyrim with about 79 mods and I have a stray 55 FPS at ultra settings. Battery while playing games is abysmal (only 1 1/2 hrs) but when I’m just browsing and streaming it lasts about 5-7 hours. I like it as my first gaming laptop.

Excellent product for the price, especially on sale for $799.99. I added 8gb memory stick and 1Tb nvme to make it a very capable gaming box. Been able to run all modern games without issues and with good graphics. Very few 3060 based systems at this price.

This was a steal for $850! Adding another 8 GB stick of ram will result in a significant gaming performance increase. Thermals are okay but it's a gaming laptop! Worth it if you can get it on sale.

First off, don't expect 120-144 FPS at max settings even @1080p. Think Medium settings 100-120 @1080p. Secondly I think this is the perfect gaming laptop currently available. You won't find a better laptop deal. You need to completely replace the RAM with dual channel 16-32gb. If you plan to stream to Facebook Gaming or Twitch and record your streams, I would highly recommend you get 32gb. Don't go cheap on the RAM or make an impulse buy. Get RAM that is 3200 and good CAS timings. When I upgraded my ram I noticed a 20-40 fps increase. I feel like the 3060 is bottlenecked by the CPU, but I could be wrong. I plan to update this review after I have owned it longer. I can say the 512gb SSD is not enough. It was difficult for me to open it up somewhat and I am an experienced tech user. I used an external monitor.

Fast, requires some tweaking to reach acceptable thermal levels. (I prefer to keep my machines under 80* C under load) Buyers - be aware that this laptop has no displayport out via USB-C. The USB-C ports are literally only for data. No charging, or display outputs. The HDMI port is limited to 4k 30hz. As long as you're ok with these limitations, this is a great machine! I just wish there was more clarity about the display outputs. (You can literally only connect one external monitor unless you get a displaylink usb to hdmi adapter)

This is an excellent laptop if you catch it on sale. I did at $799 and I have to say it made a great first impression right out of the box and is a great laptop. That being said, it's still a budget laptop so there are some cons aside from the many pros. Pros: Construction - Build quality is very solid with a brushed aluminum lid/keyboard deck and plastic bottom. In this price range, it was nice to find some more premium materials considering most other budget laptops are all plastic. Nvidia RTX 3060 - Max 75W which is better than many laptops in this price range. Performance - Right out of the box, this laptop felt quick and responsive. Even with its base 8GB of RAM, I was opening up tabs and clicking around Windows without issues. It played older titles like Bioshock Infinite in Ultra presets with absolutely no issues both on the laptop's screen and my TV. Newer titles like Overwatch also yielded high FPS and great performance but newer titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Halo Infinite definitely benefit from additional RAM. Keyboard - Backlight is nice and uniform. Typing is responsive. Display - High refresh rate monitor. Scrolling is quick and smooth. Upgradeable - 2 RAM slots and 2 NVMe slots means plenty of room to breath. Relatively Quiet - When doing basic tasks like browsing, Word, etc., this thing is quiet. Gaming laptops will always be loud when under heavy load and this one is no different, however, compared to other laptops, again, especially in this price range, this unit was surprisingly quieter than expected. Cons: Battery Life - Barely gets 3-4 hours of regular, non-gaming usage...if you're lucky. Battery life is way too sporadic to really nail down, but don't go in expecting to get more than 3 hours on average doing light tasks like browsing and watching video. I'm sure some can squeeze more out by adjusting settings, but out of the box it's not very good. Trackpad - The touch pad is fine but incredibly senstive and "jumpy" even after adjustments, but the left and right buttons are pretty bad. The right one on mine was particularly egregious, feeling far more "sunk in" than the left. Non-User-Friendly Chasis for Upgrades - The bottom of the laptop has a lot of screws to take off and the cover itself does not easily slip off. I've been spoiled by the likes of Dell whose bottom cover is held in my one screw and clips. Loud - This may be silly to some considering I mentioned a pro was how quiet this machine is, but at the end of the day it's still a gaming laptop, it will still get loud af when under stress. When playing older games like Bioshock Infinite in Ultra settings it remains pretty quiet, but newer games will give it a workout. Overall, at $799 or basically any price under its usual MSRP of $1099, I'm not sure you will find a better combination of price, specs, build quality, and performance. If you're more discerning when it comes to build quality and aesthetics, spend the extra money and get a more premium gaming laptop.

Bought this for my son to use as gaming / streaming. No issues and has been great! We have never had it lag on us. It gets warm, but all these do. Buy a USB fan base and problem solved. No complaints at all with this unit

Does what i need it to do plus some! It fits great in my office; the quiet fans definitely do not interrupt my concentration, and the keyboard isnt too flashy. Runs games excellent. Will be upgrading RAM for even better performance.

Loved the size and weight, but the backlight bleed was bad outside of the box. It's only gotten worse, so I will be returning it. A real shame as the secs for the price is a really good deal. Also note, this comes with a horrendous amount of bloatware. MS Office has every language pack installed and EACH must be uninstalled one-by-one. I would still recommend this to anyone looking to get a unit in the 1k price range. Just make sure to do a clean install of windows.

This laptop has been great for gaming. It's not top of the line, but it has handled all the games I've thrown at it with flying colors. My opinion- this is a phenomenal mid-grade gaming laptop!
