Runs hot

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The first one died within 24 hours, exchanged it for another of same computer and it worked fine but webcam died within a week and it isnt great for games unless you like the sound of fans and need a portable heater. I ended up returning it and buying something else.

Unfortunately it was too loud to the point were having this at the office would become distracting to others; if it wasn't because of this I would have kept this laptop.

Runs a little hot and the fans are loud (can play over it with a headset on). The "a" key on the keyboard has come off and the only way to fix it is to send it to msi. so if you are into parts breking tht should lst a while come right on in.

I owned and used the preceding generation of this very laptop for about 3 years before getting this as a replacement. Longer story shortened... performance and overall build were what I'd expect... fantastic. But cooling and the loud fans? Subpar at best. Even when not gaming temperatures and fan speeds were quite high. I tried adjusting various settings to tune it... no luck. I tried using it on a thermaltake laptop tray... no luck. It still ran quite hot and loud. I ended up getting a much lower end laptop for general use and built a gaming PC for... well... gaming. Used and MSI motherboard and video card in it... very pleased with the brand. But this laptop... I just can't recommend.
