Average laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Solid laptop but ended up returning. Gaming was real laggy and wasn’t getting great frames on certain games. If you’re looking for an average laptop that you can use for things outside of gaming, this one is for you.

Great laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop with good performance. Fan noise is loud but can be configured in MSI's software. The keyboard is fantastic and I love the configurability in terms of the per key RGB lighting. The huge battery is nice to have but still runs short at times. GPU handles pretty much any game and the screen is very nice and bright. Very nice to have the camera placed at the top of the screen instead of below.

fans are on hyperactive mode all the time
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fan is spinning too long and noise is just too loud even for basic surfing on web and typing in Word. I tried to set the fan noise to silent but that doesn’t work. A beautiful laptop but it concerns me as the fans are spinning continuously with no break, it eventually will break down sooner or later. MSI needs to work on this fan issue on an update. There was not one minute in the 2 hours I used it that the fans would slow down and go quiet.

Definitely not worth
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would not recommend this laptop, it keeps freezing when you're surfing the web or typing in the word. Like 1800 dollars laptop it is defined not good. Ps: if you will use for work or school it has the most loud fans. I returned it and got a one 15 rtx 3060 and it is 10000x better

Loud Fan
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fan on this laptop is way to loud, when you open up the system to start. Plus it only gets louder as you use the system.

Nothing impressive, plenty to be disappointed with
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Numerous stability issues. Came out of the box with a flickering display issue that persisted with external monitors and required a driver update to fix. Unfortunately, every time the display flickered the cursor would re-center on the display, making it a particular challenge to update the drivers. Across the board, I would note less than premium build quality for a supposed premium brand.

Pretty good, but has a few things to improve upon.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new MSI GS66 revision with the Nvidia RTX 3060 is quality laptop and will handle almost any task you throw at it with ease. The sheer power they were able to pack in a relatively light package is worth praise. The exterior is very sleek and stylish and forgoes the "space ship" approach that has been typical with gaming laptops in the past. From my testing, the thermals aren't too bad when under load. The touch pad is pretty snappy and the battery life is descent for a gaming laptop. The screen, even though it's only 1080p, looks quite sharp on a 15 in panel. The color accuracy is descent and the 240Hz refresh rate is very smooth and responsive. The RGB lighting is not overdone and feels just right. If you still don't like it, you have the ability to turn it off. The overall build quality is pretty good and no component feels really cheap. However, I have a few minor complaints. The fans are a little loud. For reference, I also have a desktop PC on top of my desk (inches from my face) and the fans in this laptop, even at the silent mode preset, completely overpower the desktop's fan noise when both are idling. I have not tried tweaking the fan curves yet or done a full re-paste, but if you're interested in this laptop and sensitive to fan noise, I would recommend investing in a good pair of noise cancelling headphones. The material, while looking quite nice, is a fingerprint magnet. After 5 minutes of picking it up and playing around with it, I already noticed large amounts of hand grease and fingerprints on the chassis. The keyboard is a little mushy and doesn't give as much feedback as I'd personally like, but everyone has their own preference when it comes to keyboards. Lastly, XMP (Extreme Memory Profile) is not enabled by default. Currently having one heck of a time trying to figure out how to enable it in the bios. Out of the box, you won't be getting the full benefit of your 3200 MgHz RAM. Overall, the new GS66 revision is a quality product with a few shortcomings that will hopefully be addressed in later revisions. The price is, well, a little pricey. I would like to see a reduction in price later down the line or more models that offer cut down features like only a 144Hz panel and 512GB SSD. The price is still pretty fair for what you get, but it could always be a little better so that you're getting the most bang for your buck. With all that said, I plan to use this laptop for many years to come.

Good laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first laptop so I'm not an expert or anything. It works well in games but the fans are pretty loud occasionally and the laptop does get relatively hot if you've been using the laptop for about an hour. I've recently been getting display issues and I've looked into it online and many people say that the display is probably not connected all the way or something and that you should get it sent to MSI to get it checked. I've only had it for less than a week and it started showing that issue about 2-3 days in. The battery from what I've seen online for this laptop says 6+ hours but mine only lasts for about 4 and a half on integrated, not 100% sure if that's the case since I usually keep it plugged in when I'm not moving anywhere so take that with a grain of salt. Overall, I think that this is a good laptop if it didn't have any screen issues, you should probably activate your warranty right away since it does come with a year of warranty.

Best Birthday present ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this as a Birthday present for myself and it works great. straight out of the box I could plug in my oculus quest 2 and be able to play vrchat. It runs great and it can get a bit loud at times but definitely worth the price for some higher end gaming.

Powerful but noisy

Insane
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very Good, I am able to get insane frames on games like call of duty and etc. I know it is loud, but it is kinda the point since it is thin.

Great, sleek and powerful laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm upgrading from a GS63VR, a model from a few years back and I just have to say this is a very nice upgrade. Its build quality is great, metallic. I also owned a GP62 for a while and I have to say stealth series feels more sophisticated. For a gaming laptop is super discreet and I still haven't put it to a great stress but for browsing and working on small graphic tasks, its fans stay quiet enough.
