Dont buy MSI and dont use Best Buy card to buy
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within 3 months laptop stopped working first day my son went to University. Called MSI support told system needs to be reset can only be done by them. Supposedly common issue that requires removing battery, but you cant remove battery without voiding warranty as per MSI. 4 weeks later no laptop still no response from MSI other than they received it. I regret buying on Best Buy card should have paid with Amex. Before sending to MSI brought to Best buy in Johnstown, PA. Never go there customer service horrible. Gave up dealing with them and sent in laptop on my own.

Excellent Price for the Hardware \ A Couple Notes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just purchased the MSI GS66 Gaming Laptop about 5 days ago and I am impressed, especially for the price. This system delivers on its promises, and while it is not the very top end of the available hardware for gaming, it should be able to handle anything you need. PROS Easy set up for the computer, awesome 4K 240hz graphics, quick responsiveness, sleek design with steel case, and all the hardware and memory you will likely need for several years. The ports are set up for gaming, with 3 USB ports, ethernet, 2 Memory Card SD slot, HDMI port, etc. The laptop is thin, which I like. While I might like a larger screen - the one provided is adequate for gaming, and if I decide it's not big enough, I can use my TV at home. CONS I do wish the keyboard had the separate numeric pad that was on my old MSI laptop. The keyboard keys are a little larger than I am used to, but I have quickly adapted to it. As with ALL gaming laptops, the very bottom of the machine can get very warm during play of graphics/data-intensive games - you may be well served (and as usual) with having a tray or other barrier if you are used to playing with the laptop in your lap. NOTES Some have complained that the fans are loud. This has not been my experience - I suppose they may be louder than other laptops at a similar performance, but at the same time, I would rather than my computer remain cooled down, and this system is designed to keep your hardware safe and cool. SUMMARY I think for the price, this gaming laptop will be enough machine for anyone that isn't a professional gamer, as well as being able to handle all your other school/work/business needs. Highly recommended. POTENTIAL CONSIDERATIONS My *previous* MSI laptop's battery did not last very long. I think it was "done" within a year. The fans in my *previous* MSI laptop went out after two years. I had the battery and the fans replaced, but the "new" battery died within 6 months and I had to just keep it plugged in all the time. MSI is a Korean-based company. When ordering a new AC/DC charger for my OLD laptop, I had to buy one second hand from eBay as there was no way to order a retail charger from the U.S. It was fine, and it is possible that battery chargers and such are easily available from MSI's parent website, I just prefer to buy from U.S.-based companies. I have not owned this laptop long enough to see if MSI has resolved these issues. If they haven't, then this will be a consideration for a purchaser. Also note that if you tinker with your own laptops, much of the support hardware in the machine may possibly have parts that are hard to find.

I returned this item for a newer product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a great choice laptop. Had screen issues where the screen would flicker off and on. Any other outputs would default back to mirror of the desktop.

And awesome machine for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An awesome laptop to use for everyday productivity, gaming, and even class. It runs just about most games out there on high settings outside of the newest games, and the cpu is powerful enough to do everyday tasks. After two and a half years mine had issues with the charging port, but if you take care of you laptop and do not put stress on the port it’ll work for years on years. The battery is really short, but compares with most gaming laptop in the range. The display is great and is an anti-glare panel, but it is a 1080p display if you wanted something better.

Architect’s Review: Switched from Mac to MSI GS66
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So i purchased this computer (recommended by a friend) for light gaming use but mostly for the power to use on professional rendering and creative software. I’ve had the computer for a while now and the design and build quality has held up with the right care. The design is very slim for such a powerful computer which is exactly what I needed for portability. The computer is very quick and responsive when using heavy software (Rhinocerous7, Adobe, AutoCAD, Revit, Vray…). I play some games that are no problem for the computer and the graphics and screen are good. My only issue is the battery sometimes depletes fast but it makes sense for what I’m using it for. The computer also gets kind of hot but the fan boost takes care of it surprisingly quickly. Overall, satisfied with the purchase and I’m glad with my choice and the price point.

LOVE THE MSI GS66
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.MSI GS66 Stealth is Amazing I don’t got any words to describe this computer, i’m in love with the keyboard, Everything About this computer is just amazing, quality , speed , literally everything, I love it , best purchase I ever made . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. I bought this laptop to upgrade an older one. I’m not a huge gamer but have always preferred PC gaming to other platforms. The performance of the MSI GS66 Stealth is amazing. I’ve never owned an MSI product before, but will definitely purchase more in the future. This product meets and exceeds all expectations with speed and performance, storage, and graphic capabilities off the shelf. The GPU-CPU combo is a good match, and after a minimal undervolt, I am very happy with the performance and temperatures achieved in all my usual high performance graphics apps and games. I liked the look of the GS66 Stealth, i love everything about this computer , best computer i ever had .

Buy an Alienware instead
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop was broken from the start, motherboard & graphics card. This is why I never buy MSI and always buy Alienware computers. MSI quality is significantly inferior.

Great buy! Good price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything I was looking for! This was my first PC purchase. I did lots of research to find something fitting for both work and play. It’s sleek design has a professional look to it, so you can feel confident bringing it to a business meeting without turning too many heads. And the performance for gaming is incredible. This thing is a beast. One downside is that during demanding game play, the internal fans can get a little loud for people around you, though with a good headset I don’t even notice it. The fans however do a good job keeping the temperature down. Overall I highly recommend this laptop!

Still respectably fast and capable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this laptop a few years ago and I must say this has held up tremendously. I mostly keep this docked at my desk, but have taken it with me places. It is still just as snappy and runs like when I first got it, it still holds up to the newest games.

Great overall.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great Laptop! I have been using it for the past 5 hours so I cant go into to too much detail. Some pros: solid design, great screen/display, has a 3060 rtx, and pretty good at not pocking up smudge and fingerprints on the case. Some cons: speakers ar a bit metalicky sounding when playing music or general audio, and fans are decently loud but mainly when you are playing games and using the max fan setting, but if you use it for normal browsing or buisness the fan is quiet enough.

Thin, Light and Powerful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This will be my second MSI Stealth purchase. Their machines are thin, light and powerful with excellent graphics and very good keyboards. Their warranty support (which is mail-in) is also top-notch, although I wish there was a local drop-off warranty location in my area. Overall, an excellent laptop at a fair price.

Buy it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first gaming laptop I've ever owned and I very much enjoy the thin and compact design. Running games isn't a problem for this laptop, and with its 240 Hz display, running games feels like butter. When I'm not playing games the fan is completely unnoticeable and I'm very impressed with how good it performs overall for others tasks.

Excellent laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has been a great laptop. I have used it for both school personal and gaming and have no complaints. The boost for the cooling fans is great for a quick cool down if you had been using the laptop on a surface with poor airflow. And being able to switch from the 3060 ti to the windows graphics card is very nice when you want the faster speed.

Great laptop for multiple things
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got this laptop and it is a great choice for whatever you need. It can run games smoothly on the highest settings, a perfect choice as a laptop used for school as well. Glad I chose this laptop. It gets hot if you try using high-end editing software like davinci resolve. So I wouldn't recommend it as a high-end editing laptop. The best choice for editing is to get a desktop computer in my opinion. The battery life isn't long, but it is a gaming laptop, which most sacrifice battery life for performance.
