The reviews on this product really helped with the decision to get this laptop for my college student. He is in a field of study which requires a high end laptop built for future compatibility. The quality of this product is excellent, the speed is outstanding and the price was definitely right. Thanks to all who left feedback here including those who voiced concerns about performance and heat. I would recommend purchasing some sort of cooler pad for using under this to help keep the device cool as it gets a little warm. DO NOT allow this laptop to be used on a soft surface like a bed, sofa or lap as this things needs appropriate ventilation.

What I’d consider a great Budget Gaming Laptop. I bought this for 3 reasons; College Work, Something able to smoothly run the Adobe Suite, and for FFXIV and a few smaller games I enjoy playing. I was constantly told to “Get a MacBook” so if you prefer windows, need a computer for design in college, and would like to have something to play games on… I have great news. This really lives up to its “stealth” name. The load times and speed of the computer is pretty great in larger games as well as the Adobe Suites more intensive apps. The graphics are fairly decent as far as they go and I find them suitable for my major for graphic design. I am so happy, and don’t regret choosing this over a MacBook Pro. I will say on the downside, this laptop does not have the additional number side keys, and me coming from a keyboard with them the transition to a different keyboard was a little bit of a learning curve. Another thing is the fans are pretty loud, not the worst I’ve heard but pretty noticeable. I have gotten used to it though after a month and I don’t notice it as much. Side note: I was pretty spiked about the packaging LOL GIVE THIS LAPTOP A CHANCE! It might just surprise you!

I have no complaints when it comes to this laptop. The build is high quality. With the RTX 3060 and the 11th gen intel processor, this thing is a powerhouse. It is pricey, but you are getting what you paid for. I've been gaming with this for 2 weeks and I've yet to have any performance issues. It runs very smoothly!

I'm extremely impressed with MSI - GS66. The packaging was great. The design is slick and the weight is appropriate. It's a pretty lightweight laptop. The performance is as amazing as expected. My eyes are still enjoying the adaptation to this fascinating 240 Hz screen. Definitely recommend it. Thank you MSI.

Coming from an Asus laptop that lasted less than a year I wanted to try another brand. I first bought a brand new MSI 15M which happened a few weeks ago and it happened to come in brand new with a screen flicker issue. I did my due diligence and found out that it is a common issue in that laptop. I am a college student and start classes very soon so I was in a time crunch and bought this one liking the non gaming laptop look even though it packs a lot of power. I also do enjoy that they put a large battery in the laptop I can survive with a little more weight if the battery is massive, I am not a huge gamer but I do enjoy playing games such as rocket league, Valorant, Warzone, and a few others sometimes and this laptop breezes through those games. Lastly the thunderbolt 4 port is a game changer because it allows me to dock my two 4k monitors, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and my usb drive. I'm not really sure if it recognizes my 65 watt output thrown by my docking station but I can survive connecting my charger in to charge it when docked. Overall, this laptop will hopefully last as long as the hinge issues that seem to have plagued MSI laptops were fixed.

Looking for a more update gaming lap top and wanted to make sure it was upgradable for the future Windows 11 program. Walked away buying the MSI GS66 lap top, loaded. Initially concerned I had to wait a couple of days and having it shipped to me directly due to possible damage. As promised by Sales, it arrived, in perfect condition. It was well packaged! Started up and what really impressed me was the visual facial recognition feature vs typing in passwords. Outstanding. Packaging great, fast startup with the SSD drive. Pleased with my purchase. Only two issues I have is no DVD writer installed, but the Sales rep. when I went back, had the answer and external writer at a very reasonable cost. Problem solved. The other is if repairs would be required, would have to send back to MSI factory. Hope I have no issues. So far, very please and my games run great now at the newer speeds. Graphics outstanding. A very good laptop! Can run some higher-end games, but for the really top-notch stuff it may require a bit of patience. Points deducted because the cooling system doesn't seem to be the best, it gets kind of toasty fairly quickly, even after cleaning it out, but that's an easy thing to get past.

Absolutely love this thing. Easily runs everything I needed it to, from competitive games to AAA titles with graphics turned up as well as content creation such as graphic design in Photoshop and video editing in 4K in Davinci Resolve and Premiere Pro, I found myself with more than comfortably playable framerates while easily taking advantage of the 240hz monitor. Would recommend pairing it with an external monitor though in order to bypass Optimus in order to get a pretty significant FPS boost, but other than that I absolutely love this thing

Overall this laptop has exceeded my expectations. Initially, the battery life was of concern to me, but once I changed a few settings (screen Hz, battery saver, etc.) the runtime increased to roughly 5 hours. One of the highlights for me is the Thunderbolt connector on the left side. With this I have been able to connect a USB-C dock that allows me to input a triple monitor set-up, power, speakers, external webcam, keyboard, and a mouse. The only drawback I would say is that the fan will run a bit loud at times, though only rarely. As someone who has never had laptops with a dedicated GPU, I am very satisfied with the intensity of the graphics and the 240 Hz screen. Lastly, the beefy hardware of the laptop has allowed me to pursue filmmaking and editing, which is something I was unable to do before due to a lack of proper equipment. This laptop is for both the gamer and the entrepreneur, and anything in between.

I thoroughly researched which machine I wanted to buy. in the end it came down to either the MSI or the ROG Zephyrus 14. When seeing the two machines together, thinking about future proofing, and then just wanting the best laptop available, it was a clear winner (for me anyway). The MSI GS66 is a dream. The chip set-- both CPU and GPU--are among the best possible combinations you can ask for. The two combined make for an incredibly smooth gaming experience. Whether playing something less demanding to the most graphics heavy AAA game, this machine tackles it perfectly. If the hardware doesn't attract you, the aesthetic look of the machine is incredible: the keyboard customization is phenomenal, the typing is smooth and easy on the keyboard, and the track pad hasn't presented any problems for me so far. I highly recommend this machine. It is worth the price point and will last years. Grab it while it's hot!

This laptop is a beast of a machine, weather you are gaming or setting up a day trading station( i have done both) this laptop can handle it, guaranteed!

Loving my experience so far. The fans can be a bit loud, but it's only when I am gaming. The laptop has a lot of functionality options for different performance modes, which is very helpful.

I bought this laptop and it's my first gaming laptop, great performance, amazing screen and everything runs smoothly, but there is one disadvantage and that is the temperature, it reaches 94C easily while gaming AAA games such as Flight Simulator 2020, Battlefield V and Star Wars Battlefront 2, I had to install throttlestop and decrease the turboboost limit from the CPU, I overclocked the GPU using NVidia GeForce Experience and it runs at 70C while gaming, it gets warm quickly while browsing (Discord, Chrome and Spotify at the same time) and it gets around 58C, the keyboard (specialy around the "H" key) gets warm and extremily hot while gaming, but the Coolerboost mode can handle this easily. Other than this problems everything is amazing, GTA V runs at 120FPS average, Battlefied V at 130FPS average and Flight Simulator 2020 at 30 FPS with max settings, an amazing laptop for cold environments. I recommend applying a limit to the CPU turboboost it doesn't affect performance too much (like 10 FPS less)

1 yr 5 months in. Adult owned. Used cooling pad since day one. Still runs everything on ultra. Never use keyboard or mousepad. So can’t speak to those.

Bought for my son and he loves it and is able to play his games with no issues.

this thing is great, battery life’s mediocre since it’s a gaming laptop it’s just a few minutes till you plug it in. very light and easy to carry.

I haven't had a gaming laptop in over 4 years. I was hesitant to buy this for myself but after reading some reviews and some convincing from my husband I took the plunge. And oh my god, I love this thing. The screen is the perfect size and so responsive and quick! I love how the keyboard feels when I type on it. It has so much space on it, I don't know if I'll ever run out of space. Playing games on it is awesome, there's no lag or anything! And the best part is I can play with my husband again!
