The MSI - GS66 Stealth in my opinion offers great value for money. The internal specs are fantastic for a gaming laptop, which would cost much more if it were another brand. That being said the only drawback I have experienced to this computer is that it overheats regularly if it is on its' highest performance setting. This mode will require an external cooling station for the computer but the other performance modes run well enough.

I do a lot of rendering and game development at the moment, and I couldn't be happier with the performance levels I am getting. Note however that higher performance means an excellent cooling system is needed. The GS66 Stealth has resolved this very well with their added Cooler Boost mode, but it can get VERY loud. The fans can be quieted if you are in a lecture or coffee shop and MSI Dragon Center has a great UI, but I wouldn't recommend doing any heavy lifting while the fan levels are lower in order to avoid overheating. The only other issue I have are the terrible speakers, for those who don't like headphones or earbuds.

The laptop itself looks really sleek and low profile which i love but the msi dragon center needs a serious update the cooling is above average cpu will get pretty hot and being an all aluminum build the keyboard and palm rests will get hot after awhile being that its a very thin device the biggest strength of this laptop for me was the screen it was very fast in games fastest ive ever seen in a laptop the worst part of the laptop to me was the keyboard it was very mushy not a satisfying experience to type on in my opinion overall a great laptop just needs a little better cooling and it would be phenomenal .

For all of the features that are included with this laptop, it's simply amazing. Beefy mobile CPU & GPU, lots of memory and a large fast SSD. If you need something powerful, this has a lot to recommend it. It will chew up whatever you throw at it. The physical fit and finish of this device is quite nice and a little understated. It's has a good metal body which isn't too heavy. The screen is gorgeous with a great matte finish.

We bought this because my son got interested in Star Wars and Civ 6 games. Playing on an ultrabook did not cut it as the ultrabook kept freezing. This is a great laptop. The styling is sleek. Love the 240 Hz refresh rate. Action on the latest Jedi game is smooth and jitter/lag free. The Civ 6 game runs a lot faster and smoother. I like the 1TB NvMe drive. The games are storage heavy. So I would highly recommend the larger storage. In terms of graphics, somehow the 2070 MaxQ feels (subjective opinion) as fast as my GTX 1070 (a 3+ year old card with AMD 3700X and NvME) on my desktop. However, I would still recommend going for as fast of a graphics card as you can afford because you cannot change graphics cards on laptops. The 10750 CPU is plenty adequate. The limiters are going to be your GPU and hard drive. So don't skimp on those. The audio is OK. You will probably have better audio through headphones or some external speakers. There is a lot of bloatware on the system. You can do a clean install again to remove it. The only downside is Heat. The fans seem to turn on even with the slightest CPU/GPU intensive activity. They are loud but all gaming laptop fans are loud. If noise is an issue, then gaming laptops are not for you. Battery Life is average (getting 2 hours). But you can increase it substantially by playing with CPU and Performance settings. I would also recommend buying a high speed cooling pad. But a real one from Thermaltake or Coolermaster. Those are the best. If you are an intermediate gamer then this laptop is for you. I would highly recommend this.

I was torn between the Asus M15, GSI 66 and HP Omen 15. After months of researching, the GSI 66 always came out top. Build quality is superior to both the other options and this screen is unbeatable. Haven't really tested thermals yet but so far so good. Keyboard is best in class with per key RGB from Steel Series. Best buy associate was very helpful and overall experience during purchase was as expected. Thank you.

It is a nice laptop for school work. The speakers could be better but for the price, it was worth it. It has nice specs and was better than Macbooks during the time I was looking for a new laptop. The fans could be loud but you get used to them. I'm glad that it can handle multitasking without freezing up. But it is heavy so that may be something to consider if you want a laptop for portability.

Very pleased with this purchase. I initially bought an Asus Rog but returned it days later and traded up for an MSI GS66 Stealth and I am so glad I did. It runs Dark Souls 3 and GTA5 easily. SSD is nice and fast. Also it has a webcam unlike many other gaming laptops so thats a plus if you've been working from home like so many of us. Keyboard is nicely laid out and the trackpad is well responsive. Would recommend for sure!!!

This laptop is great! Very sleek design. You would never think it was a gaming laptop until you see the RGB Keyboard. The MSI logo is very incognito. It can run most of my games on max settings which makes these games look beautiful. 240hz screen is plenty enough for me when I game. Very powerful laptop with great features for a decent price. TBH I think it is the best bang for your buck for the average person with this configuration. Only reason it isnt 5 stars is because I paid for express shipping but didnt get it on the desired date and bestbuy gave me credits for the shipping instead of my money back!

I did some research and had it narrowed down to this laptop or one of a different brand that was more expensive for roughly the same setup. I am impressed with the look of this laptop and the keyboard feel is wonderful. The fans were a bit loud and a little irritating at first but the noise is easily overcome. This machine is responsive and runs smoothly. I look forward to pushing its limits and will definitely update my review with any pros or cons as they arise. Love the backlit properties and the font on the keyboard is unique and easy to read. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.

If you are a serious gamer on a budget, this is the best bang for the buck. The screen refresh is insane colors pop. Good brightness, and a highly configurable responsive keybaord. I believe the track pad is glass. If not it feals like it - very responsive. I'm not sure how MSI packs so much in for the price.

The battery life on this laptop is fantastic. The graphics while playing the long dark is incredible. High tech and enjoyable. I also love the face unlock feature but still allows my boyfriend to use a pin to to use. I just wish you could add multiple faces to the same account like an iPhone. Also the laptop stays very cool while gaming. Only complaint it is very loud with its 4 fans. Overall I recommend it

This machine is living up to every expectation I had of it. It's blazing fast and plays any game like a charm. It does take a few minutes to get accustomed to the function key set up as each laptop has it's own characteristics. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase. I got rid of a Macbook Pro 16 for this machine and I don't regret it one bit. The keyboard is a joy to type on by the way.

I bought this computer after having to return a different one. This one was a step up with the 240hz screen and GTX 2070 card. The computer has met and exceeded all my expectations. It typically runs around 80C when gaming and can definitely push 240hz if desired. Trackpad is also very good which can be hard to find on a gaming laptop. Overall I would definitely recommend this computer.

I was skeptical on buying a gaming laptop but glad I ran into this one. It is smooth and slick looking. I play the Call of duty series, Forza, and Destiny and game play is smooth as butter. The only thing I don't like about this laptop is when your playing a game the fans are loud. That's my on issue. Other than that I feel it's great value

This Gaming laptop is amazing. It has amazing sound, the customization is a neat feature and it loads up thing that would usually take a minute or two in seconds. The screen is big but not too big and it could fit in a backpack. The only thing is sometimes when I am doing something the fan gets loud like really loud but with headphones, it cancels the noise out, Overall great!

I use to only buy HP but like all American companies now basically just CCP companies that don’t care about their customers or products, I decided to try this tawainese brand and it’s the best computer I’ve ever owned! Super fast and can handle everything. It does get hot but turning up the fan on full blast and giving it circulation solves that.

9.9/10. Really well built, fantastic performance but it does get a little too hot when under load. but overall would definitely recommend.

This is a great laptop! Although there are some negatives. It's pricey. It can get pretty hot while gaming. It's a fingerprint magnet. I've noticed mine has display issues every now & then, usually when I'm scrolling down a webpage too fast, the screen would flicker with rainbow lined screen & then just go blank. The only thing you can do from there is just reboot. A part of the plastic edge on mine has broken, just from laying my hands down on it while typing.

The MSI GS66 has to be one of the best laptops currently out in the market. Not only is it an excellent gaming laptop but it’s a great overall laptop. It’s lightweight and can handle maintaining battery life. My only recommendation is to get a cooling pad to prevent the laptop from thermal throttling otherwise you’re going to have not as long gaming sessions as you want.
