Great laptop for gaming. Runs a little hot and a little noisy but this build is a better value than the same model from other retailers.

You'll be hard pressed to find more power for a reasonable price. Pros- expandable memory, great video card, great ssd storage Cons- fans are a bit loud, but for the power house in such a small place, it needs a way to keep cool. Does run a little hot.

Great Labtop came in great packaging with great instructions to get started. The Software is great with the labtop and the 2070 can be pushed hard without the labtop getting hot. I played many games Apex Legends,Fortnight, Gta, Tom Clanys Rainbow Six Siege I was able to get over 144 Fps in all of them with very good thermals and the labtop was very quiet. The Keyboard is also great with the per key Rbg would reccomed to anybody looking for a good thin and light gaming labtop.

Improved chassis over the GS65! This thing feels like a tank in comparison to its older brother. It's a bit more thick but at least it feels more like quality and less likely to break. This GS66 comes with two USB-C ports. BUT BEWARE only one is thunderbolt 3 (left). The other is a normal USB-C port (right). This is important as that means only the right USB-C port is hooked up directly to the graphics card. The right USB-C port will be using drivers to run another monitor. (This means you can't buy a dumb USB-C to HDMI cord that is not built in with the correct drivers - you will need to buy a more expensive adapter that works similar to a USB-A to HDMI adapter). Internally this laptop is easier to upgrade. No need to flip the motherboard. Once the bottom cover is removed insert your NVMe drive and you are upgraded. From the specs one is NVMe & Sata compatible. The other is NVMe only. (Two slots total). The hinge on this laptop has a slight creaky sound to it. But upon further inspection it seems to be the whole cooling system creaking, which gets slightly moved when opening. I treat it like a cosmetic issue not worth the exchange process. I don't believe all the GS66 laptops are affected by this. There is some light bleed from the bottom on a black lit up screen. Do take note of this when purchasing as some are worse then others based on other reviewers online. The 2070 card in this laptop is the Max-Q design. This means its throttled to be slower then a normal 2070 in a desktop (to keep it cooler). They also improved the Dragon Center. It remembers your settings between reboots from my experience using it. It also better auto detects going into games for switching to "Extreme Performance" mode. Sound is improved! The bass isn't the best. But the speakers that are now on the keyboard side drastically improved sound and loudness when compared to the GS65. Zoom calls can be understood better on this GS66. The GS65 it was sometimes a struggle to hear people talk. Verified that the USB-C thunderbolt 3 port can in fact charge. BEWARE at no fault of the manufacturer that the laptop will feel slower when charging from this port. The laptop will have to throttle itself to run off the limited wattage of the provided USB-C power. It's good for office work but don't intend on doing demanding gaming via charging off USB-C. 65W minimum charging brick is required to charge it. 100W is maximum from current technology supported by the GS66 via charging USB-C. The right side USB-C port is a regular USB-C port which can't be charged from.

This laptop is great! Build quality is excellent, the keyboard has an amazing feel. I definitely didn’t need the 240hz refresh rate but it looks stunning, playing games or just surfing the internet. I do recommend a laptop cooler as it does get pretty hot even while idle.

Great computer so far, it runs everything I need smoothly and keeps up great. The only thing I would say is the fans are a louder than I expected. Did not expect them to turn on as quickly either since there is so many and the cooling liquid.

I had an old Asus gaming laptop for the last 3 years, has suited me well but was getting out of date. I did quite a bit of research and found this one. It just so happened it was in the store as well, so I did not have to wait on shipping. I am quite impressed with this laptop. The build quality is top notch and the keyboard feels solid and is very easy to type on. Amount of features for the price is quite nice. If you are looking for a great gaming laptop with the chops to play any game out now, and not looking to spend thousands, this would easily be my recommendation.

This is the most money I've ever spent on a PC ( I usually buy Macs). I bought this for gaming and chose this model based on the really strong reviews on BestBuy.com & other sites. I LOVE this computer so far. It looks great and even comes in really attractive packaging. The screen resolution is excellent and it's super fast. I like that it is configured for gaming and is also reasonably priced. I love the feel of the keyboard and it seems to be made really well. Definitely glad I spent the extra money and got this model. No more cheap PC's for me. This one was worth it.

This machine is a great price point for the specs which you receive. I only have a few pain points with it: (1) finger print magnet; (2) runs extra spicy even with the cool booster on; (3) the bottom lid was creaky straight out of the box.

Its great laptop. Runs hot so I'd suggest a stand or cooling pad to put it on. Runs games great and has a style that works for a casual environment too. I think the fact that the graphics card is Max-Q design should be in the initial product link, but it does state it in the detailed description. All in all, great product though and was a good replacement for my old desktop since I no longer have space for one. Packs enough power to be a good substitute and the fact that I can take it on the go is a big win.

The MSI GS66 laptop which I purchased has performed extremely well thus far. Though it has been 2 months since purchase, this laptop has proved to be extremely durable and rarely, if ever, overheats. The lightning fast response time of this PC really allows it to live up to his name, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who asks for my informed opinion.

Overall it’s a great laptop. I kinda expected more but I still have a lot of research and settings that may need to be adjusted to get what I was expecting out of it. Pros - Fast boot up - Tons of forums to help navigate this computer - Great graphics Cons - Fans are loud (may need to adjust some settings though) - Expected higher FPS on games (again adjustments, or I need to just stop looking at the number) - WiFi6 does not work no where near what I expected. Supposedly the shielding around the internal antenna is a bit thick and is a major obstacle for the signal. Standing next to the router I get great speeds, even faster than my iPhone 12 max plus (wifi6 capable), but drops to half just outside the room (iPhone stays pretty consistent).

This laptop is a beast... I played black ops cold war on it max settings 1080p and gets 100+ fps! The refresh rate is insanely high so it's super smooth. 1 tb ssd is nice to have. also the customization on the keyboard is very nice, you can do different lighting. Overall it's a beast of a laptop

Speakers cut in and out, and sound quality isn't the best. Otherwise the processor and screen refresh rate are amazing. Only other issue is it gets stuck while turning on sometimes and have to do a hard reboot.
