The MSI GS66 has proved to be an excellent laptop thus far, the 240 hertz refresh rate means that the screen is as smooth as butter on hot bread. Furthermore, the 2070 paired with a 10th generation i7 allows most, if not all modern AAA games to run at 60 fps with high to max graphical settings. I am still getting used to the high refresh rate of the screen, but the experience is something truly to behold! The 1TB m.2 ssd is a nice bonus as well, the laptop boots in seconds.

I purchased an ASUS laptop and had problems off the get go. Returned it immediately and decided to spend the extra money to get the MSI-GS66 Stealth and I'm so happy I did no regrets with this one. Very reliable, the screen is amazing games look really clean and the laptop can play all my games with ease. No complaints here. More than satisfied with my purchase. Would recommend to everyone. I used to buy ASUS but not anymore they have gone down hill from what I have seen.

Computer performed quite well when doing a stress test. The stress test consisted of running Lightroom Classic, Chrome (10 tabs were openned), Spotify, Adobe PDF Reader and VLC Player (while playing a movie). There were no lags when switching from one mode to another and from one picture to another in Lightroom. I am going to ding the GS66 a little as the adhesive that holds the display to the computer softens up and detaches along the bottom right hinge. That may be due to how I use the computer. I tend to keep the computer clam shelled shut and view the image on an external monitor. I suspects the computer gets a little too warm when utilizing it in that manner.

Had the computer for almost a month now and not had any problems with it. Boot time is under 10 seconds. Notice when you have it in MSHybrid mode seems to run hotter. Better to run on Nvidia card only. Also can not update Windows to latest version cause of the disk controller. Microsoft says it be a couple more weeks till they have the issue work out.Still on 1909 version of Windows. But had no issues with the computer at all. Would recommend to anyone.

I am very happy with my purchase. I think fan noise is very low, and I like being able to shift on the fly if I notice the laptop is getting warmer then I want. I tried to "future proof" as much as possible, and I think this will last me a long time. I mainly use the laptop for gaming, but also use it for work. The keyboard is great, and when I am using it in a low lighted room being able to turn on the keyboard light is a big plus. I would definitely recommend this laptop.

    Enough Power For All Needs

This machine is equal parts beautiful and powerful. It's not held back by the Gamer™ PC aesthetic, it's solid yet portable. I got this to mainly help with digital art, 2D and 3D animation, with some light to moderate gaming on the side. The RAM, VRAM, SSD, and graphics card will be more than sufficient (hopefully). This product should be pretty future proof as well, seeing as it's easily upgradeable. All that said, I'm probably gonna be paying this thing off for a while.

Purchased for my 16 year old daughter who has begun Dual Enrollment in college and also is a gamer. Her old computer had pretty much become a door stop. This machine was great straight out of the box. She's already got it connected to all of her Xbox games and is up and running. Very pleased with this purchase.

I've purchased the laptop because I was looking for a more powerful device that can handle various adobe suite apps simultaneously - mainly photography-related. In a nutshell, I'm very impressed with its high performance and computing power. It for sure can handle many tasks at once and is well-suited for my photography needs and I can edit my work on the fly at any place. The battery could last a little longer, but overall, the product is outstanding.

    Awesome Gaming Laptop

Performance: I got the i7 with RTX 2070 so plenty of power for such a thin gaming laptop. I can get amazing fps on all current games at max setting or at least very high on the less optimized games like Assassins Creed. Screen: The screen looks amazing and the 144hz feels soooo good while web browsing and even better in games. The screen is somewhat small for gaming but it's a laptop so isn't a valid complaint but may take a second to get used to if you are coming from a 27" monitor or a big tv. Noise: The software gives you plenty of fan curve options, silent, battery saving, Performance, and holy crap I think the laptop is about to explode. I personally prefer the user profile and create a mix of those settings. the silent mode is the only mode that gives you the best odds of not hearing the fan but even then the laptop is not afraid of spinning the fans up to handle business. This should be obvious to anyone looking at a gaming laptop. This is not an ultrabook designed to be paper-thin and quiet as a mouse. Keyboard: The keyboard is easily the worse part of the laptop. It is absolutely horrible. If you are a student who plans on writing a lot of papers with this, I would recommend buying a keyboard to connect to it. The keys are flat and wider than normal laptop keys and the placement/ spacing of the keycaps is horrible. I constantly miss the backspace and hit the home button. The lighting is also trash, the lights aren't bright at all, the software for it is so bad and there is no auto-off lighting feature, where the backlighting turns off after so many seconds of not being used, this is on literally every other laptop, its very frustrating. Mousepad: the mousepad is very big but only by width. The touchpad is very narrow and positioned in a way that makes resting your hands weird as you try to type, often leading to mis-presses on the touchpad. It does let you use the window mousepad features, although I do not use these but they are there if that matters to you. Battery: Despite the 99WHr battery size the actual battery life is average, maybe you get 4 to 6 hours of normal web browsing and writing in Word. You can take steps to probably lower this but lowering the refresh rate to 60hz and by turning off the discrete GPU and using the intel graphics. I have yet to try these because I am too lazy to have to constantly change this anytime I want to play games and I haven't found a way to set these to a profile. Travel: The laptop is big at 15.6" and is pretty heavy if you are putting it in your backpack. I use a Hershel backpack and this barely fits in the laptop sleeve. But the laptop is quite thin for a gaming laptop but still pretty heavy in a backpack. Overall: This is a solid gaming laptop that is a much better value for the money. You get good performance and similar enough style to a Razer without the insane mark up in price for a comparable Razer laptop.

I was really hesitant to purchase this laptop for my son who is going off to college at first. I knew he would need one that is not too flashy, easy to carry, and easy to work with. He loves it and it is working excellently. I was also worried about whether or not the laptop would last enough time for my son when he is in college, but it is all manageable in the dragon center. I am definitely satisfied with my purchase! This is a really good laptop.

I haven't had the computer for long, but I have had a chance to try quite a few games on it. After a little setup in the beginning to get the lights and the screen the perfect way for me, which they have 100s of options to do so, it immediately delivered. I became accustomed to a stutter here or there, and game colors that didn't look quite right. All of those issues were fixed here. Great computer, for a great price, and will continue buying through MSI.

I was excited to get this laptop I needed one for traveling and I think this laptop is perfect for that. It’s build quality is mostly metal. It is a pretty fast laptop and will do some heavy gaming sessions. I would be aware that the cpu does get to 95 degrees Celsius not under full cpu load (around 60-70%)which is this laptops thermal throttle. It is safe but still a bit concerning since I can’t even get it to max out without it lowering the clock speeds considerably and that’s with cooler boost enabled. It will run 60 degrees Celsius out of the box right off the bat without any load on the CPU or gpu. So be aware of the heat this brings.

Gaming performance has been great. Trackpad is works well including gestures. The sound is okay. It's what I would expect for such a thin machine. Display looks fantastic. I haven't noticed any light leakage. I like the styling with no lights on the lid. I'm not a fan of keyboard font. The fans react as expected depending on workload. The battery performance reacts as expected too depending on workload. I'm happy with my purchase.
