Great MSI LAPTOPS

I tried a lot laptops. Like a lot laptops. Razer, Dell, etc. I had 2070-max-Q before I sold it tho no problems with it. But I just wanted to renew is all. I will buy another MSI again after 2-4 years or so. I highly recommend it. I don’t know why it is 4.4 rating. It should be 5 stars. Now maybe you might get a defective laptop just replace it they will give you new one 0 charges. All tho might waste you time but it’s worth the laptop.

Fine when it works

Owned for 11 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Less than 6 months in, it started shutting down (no minidumps, not due to thermal issues, reimage didn't help). RMA policy states I'm responsible for shipping and repair will take up to 30 days. Also had an incident where the screen just stopped showing up after boot and had to reimage to recover, and the MSI utility does not update itself or drivers properly. I guess it plays games well when it's working, but I haven't really gotten to experience that much, which is frustrating for the price.

Poor performance

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrading from an msi titan laptop with a 1080ti chipset, this is barely any faster and overheats to blue screen as well. The small fans are extremely loud on turbo mode and still don't put out enough cooling to prevent it from hitting over 100 Celsius on the CPU. Performance is probably bottle necking there. GPU stays around 55 degrees full load but the upgrade from a 1080ti is negligible. Don't waste your money and buy something worth it's price

MSI Thoughts

I wanted more space in my room and was researching for well over a month. I find this MSI to be perfect for my needs. 17 inch screen is perfect for gaming, which pc gaming is new to me as well. Thus far Ive had no issues.
