Fan has been making a clicking noise. Called msi for warranty and they want me to pay for shipping on a 4 month old laptop. I found metal blades from fan inside and screen flickers on startup.

Bought this laptop and used for about two weeks until it all froze and refused to turn off, the system kept running and running and then overheated. Even holding the power button it would not turn off.

Retured two of these… updating this computers drivers caused it to crash Terrible flickering issu Es where screen would go out for two to 3 secs at a time intermittently

I have two issues with this laptop. First, about every 2-3 minutes, regardless if I am surfing the internet, playing a game or viewing a pdf... the computer grinds to a halt and refuses to accept commands. Sometimes, it self restarts, other times I have to restart. Additionally, I will not function in closed mode with an external monitor. So, not too happy as I am not even to play simple games on a supposedly powerful gaming laptop.

I bought this computer and everything was fine until I started to play...it just didn't run any game 100% .. after that I couldn't use the Xbox app anymore, it just froze the app... liked it) but the problem was exactly the same, I took it to Geek Squad and they didn't identify the problem, they suggested me to change brands, I got an Asus Rog 12th ..I still had to pay 300 dol more..( the drivers were all installed correctly)

Fastest laptop I have ever used, but the screen had an unbearable flicker that made the device unusable. Returned the next day. No other units in stock, so ordered the alienware

Hinge on machine broke after less than a year. Sent in for repairs and they scrapped and reimbursed. Didnt have enough for a machine with same specs. Was an ok machine other than the case being way too fragile. there were some minor video issues but they disappeared after a few updates

Just return it to Best Buy after owning it for less than 30 days. Turns off when you plug it in and then color lines all on screen. Got another one and now the camera doesn’t work bringing to geek squad tomorrow after having it for one day. You spend $2200 to keep bringing back to geek squad.

This is the worst Laptop I have ever purchased. 6 months old and it is falling apartment. MSI makes nothing but crap. I am going tell anyone who will listen to not buy MSI, this company needs to be closed down for scamming and ripping off people.

Laptop glitches a lot when playing any games. Put the fan on high and got a table with fans. No help at all. Still glitches a lot! Had to return it because it was useless for the purpose I needed it for.

2 weeks and wont power up. Over past year returned 2 pcs, 1 monitor, 1 set headphones and 1 tv to store. Seeing a trend

does not turn on after 3mos. Tried new power supply . Best buy return period ended 2 weeks ago.

I received this laptop as a gift after my friend grew tired of me getting terrible FPS on my old "gaming laptop" (It was a MacBook Pro with identical specs less the dedicated gaming GPU). I have been blown away at the performance of this laptop and the insane performance of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070! The body of the laptop is downright sexy! The matte black finish and the sleek slim design are everything I wanted from a discrete gaming laptop. The keyboard is excellent! Great tactility and key travel is perfect. For me, the RGB backlit keyboard, which is the only RGB aspect of the laptop, is perfect for me. I wanted this laptop because of its discrete appearance; I didn't want something that screamed "I'm a gamer!" lol. The battery life is better than my Mac too, they both have a 99.9 Watt hour battery but this laptop, when put into the built in "MSI Battery mode," outperforms my MacBook by a long shot. Oh, and the screen, how could I forget the screen? The 360hz display is downright gorgeous, from the silky smooth animations to the multiple default color spaces, the 1080p IPS panel is a joy to do work on. I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone who is looking for a discrete powerhouse of a gaming laptop!

It is super fast and really loved it, but not very sturdy. A part of it broke after 3 years. Also the battery life is short

It took two weeks to decide between Aorus RTX 3080, i7, 240Mhz vs MSI -GS 76 QHD, 240Mhz, and this i9, 3070, 360Mhz. They were all in the same price range (my price range). I viewed most of the YouTube reviews of these laptops. I decided: *I wanted a larger screen, the Aorus was out *I wanted an i9 processor, the Aorus was out *I wanted a higher refresh rate, there was a significant difference between 360Hz vs 240Hz (number wise), Aorus was out *I couldn't see a big difference between the QHD and FHD. I YouTubed the reviews on my 8K TV. I chose FHD with a high refresh rate. *Why the Auros? It has the RTX 3080, but i7 cpu. This was the toughest decision, 3080 vs 3070, Multiple reviews benchmark the RTX 3080 vs RTX 3070, While the 3080 produced better results, the 3070 was not far behind. I couldn't sacrifice the i9 processor, the larger screen just to get the 3080. The MUX switch was a super plus. 32GB RAM is sufficient, I have a 64GB RAM desktop and I admit that's an overkill for what I do. *Yes, it can get quite hot while gaming. The laptop is placed on a nice cooling pad rated to support a 17 inch, gaming laptop. Temp stayed close to 65C while gaming. AAA games, Ray tracing, Ultra Mode, no problem.

Had to return my first one due to screen flickering and sound driver going out. However my replacement is showing much better signs so far. Things were much more up to date upon startup. Speeds are incredible and the system isn't toooo crazy with bloatware. So far I am happy with the purchase and if not for the 3 week headache it would have gotten a 5 star.

I'm a programmer and gamer, this laptop is just great for both! Smooth, fast, and quiet I wasn't sure if I want to get a 17" laptop but this one is so light and thin. Amazing laptop overall.

This laptop was a mistake. SInce I've had it, and in under 2 years the fan inside of it has died twice. No Warranty help, I've spent half of what this thing cost me just to fix it every year. Never again MSI
