    I’ve been building PCs since the 90’s and this motherboard seems to be the worst I’ve ever dealt with. So far it’s literally blown up 2 Corsair RM850 power supplies, refused to do anything consistently with a EVGA 650 power supply, and is now seemingly posting ok with a brand new EVGA 850. I even bought a second board at Best Buy think maybe it was a dud, that board is the one that blew up the second power supply and I returned those two items. After now getting my the board to post. The BIOS refused to updated on multiple attempts, but after a miracle of resetting it loaded a new BIOS. This supposedly (Per MSI) allowed me to load my shiny new Ryzen 9 5900x. But wait, this motherboard subsequently says that I have a Ryzen 3 1200 4 core!! After spending more time that necessary on the phone with MSI customer service, they suggested I go ahead and load Windows to see if it picks up the Ryzen 9??? Really?? First this is a Linux build, secondly if the board doesn’t know what chip is in it, why would the OS think any different? After that genius insight, MSI said I should get another motherboard to see if it detects it!?!? If that doesn’t work I should call AMD and discuss running the serial number with them?? I can’t imagine how suggesting I get hold of another board is a proper customer service angle, let alone push blame to the chip maker. (Especially when I had a computer repair service test and run the processor after the first and second power supply explosion, to make sure my freaking expensive chip was ok). Never the less MSI can stick, if I do buy a different board it won’t be MSI. Never ever had this much trouble with hardware ever in my life.

    So I almost had a mental breakdown because the the CPU debug led was lit on. If you purchased a RYZEN 5000 series this this motherboard. YOU MUST UPDATE BIOS OR IT WON POST. If you need help let me know
