Updated Motherboard x570s
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is great motherboard but they "MSI" have upgraded the board in September 2021. That's compatible with 5600x processor 4th generation and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I have a problem with the MPG x570 gaming edge wifi that came out in 2019. The main problems are with the bios and windows 11. Mine is stuck at the bios password. Eventhough I entered the right password for bios it will not except it. I have tried everything but nobody has any clue. I think if I get the new bios and updated it using the bios button. I love the motherboard but windows beat me. Best Buy doesn't have the new board yet but I talked with an agent who said they would be getting the new motherboards for next week. I read a couple reviews of the x570s Max gaming wifi and the specs are greatly improved. I am envious with anyone who has one.

Good board with good support.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is for the MSI Review Rebate Program. A review is required to receive a rebate on the product. The board is a good mid-range board. It has a lot of features and performs well with my 3700X. I had some blue screens when I first switched to this motherboard, but a BIOS update solved the issue.

Durable and convenient MBU
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had this motherboard for about 4 years. It's held up and honestly been great. It's reliable and I can game well on it. Would highly recommend. The built in wifi helps a lot too. Haven't had any issues with it. The arrangement of the sockets and pins are all nicely placed too.

First time builder with the best motherboard!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a first time builder this motherboard was great. The price was fantastic for what you are paying for. It has many benefits for a first timer such as the pre-installed IO shield also has bios flash update so you can update in the future. Many fan header ports but wish that they were spread out across the board. Also, in order to get all the ram you paid for you need to go into the BIOS to set it to the desired speed. Finally the instruction manual for a first time builder didn't match the board and let me confused. For example the ram slots do not have two clips that pinch down only one side comes down. Overall I am glad I made the purchase on this board because it will be used in the future when I do upgrading as time goes on.

Good but check for antenna connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A very solid mother board for the price, never had issues except the antennas for the WiFi were kind of loose check for loose connections I have to keep adjusting to get better signal

Excellent upgrade.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.System info: Ryzen 5 2600 @ 3.8Ghz, 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB @ 3.2Ghz, Radeon 5700xt for triple monitor @ 5760X1080. I purchased this to upgrade from an ASRock B450M Pro4-CB mobo that was giving me stability issues and after discovering the limited support from both manufacturer and distributor I decided it had to go. This board is outstanding. Stability is rock solid and there are noticeable performance increases across all categories of use. TL;DR: If you are looking for an x570 board in anticipation of a gen 3 Ryzen upgrade but dont want to break the bank, get this and you will be happy. (Fun side note: iCue does not allow Chroma integration, Dragon Center does and also controls Corsair RGB's).

NOT for 105-watt AMD CPUs...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are planning to buy this mobo for a 65-watt CPU, fine... Avoid this if you are planning to buy this motherboard for any 105-watt AMD CPU (3800x/3900x/3950x). The power supply design cannot supply the current required for these CPUs. The voltage regulators will overheat, hitting 100-120 degrees C. When this happens, the board will throttle the CPU speed down until the VRs cool down. When the VR temps rise again, the process will repeat itself. MSi really screwed up the board design on ALL of the MPG lineup of X570 motherboards. All of them have terrible VR designs causing the to overheat. I have one and it really sucks. Better boards will only hit temps of 60-70 degrees. Contacting MSi will get you nowhere. They insist the board is fine but professional online reviews tell you otherwise. I ended up replacing my MSi board at my own expense.

2 and a half years of constant headaches
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wish I would have read more reviews when I bought this. It’s been a little under 3 years and I’ve had constant trouble with this board. Now the VRMs are out of control and the pc can’t be on longer than 5 minutes without smelling and sounding like it’s going to blow up. I’ve sent the RMA request but I’m not expecting them to honor it. Buy a different board, I promise you will regret buying this one.

Go with something else
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this board with the ryzen 7 3700x, brought it home, put everything together, turned the power on, and after about 3 power cycles it finally gets to the bios screen. First thing i did in the bios was turn off the RGB... great, now i go to restart for changes to take effect. And thats when this board fell flat on its face. The board tries to restart. But sits there with only the cpu diagnostic LED on. ok... whats goin on here? Discovered the board wont reset the bios with the bios jumper, or pulling the battery and leaving it sit all night. All traditional methods to reset the bios fail. Ok... try a bios update with a usb jump drive. Again, after many attempts(instructions are useless), got the board to appear to update its bios with a usb jump drive. No effect, board still refuses to post. Notice that i had the 8 pin cpu power connected but not also with the 4 pin(for a 8+4 power setup, assumed would only need the 8). So went and fabricated a temporary 4 pin molex to 4 pin power cable because one didnt come with the motherboard when it should because up till recently these cables havent been used much since the pentium 4 days. Anyways, plugged in the 4 pin and now instead of cpu, now my gpu is not making it on boot... ok... switched the gpu to the second pcie slot(x8) and boom, we are posting to bios and i go about installing windows... so you have to have that 4 pin power connected because msi runs that power to the pci chipset and cpu somewhere and the board is completely unstable without it. next thing i find, the documentation says nothing about sata raid other than the name and in the bios its nothing more than a on/off switch.... and when it is on, it detects only 2 of 6 sata drives and windows setup agrees that the other 4 drives are missing... It was at this point that i threw in the towel after 2 days of trial and error with this motherboard and promptly exchanged for the Asus TUF motherboard which ran immediately with no hiccups other than a driver load issue with windows setup to recognize the Raid... and for ten dollars less mind you. Avoid this board like the plague. It really does appear to be a beta test board that was thrown into production and has a power design that had a few bad design decisions, the documentation is horrible, the bios is horrible, its like broken chinese english translation...

Pretty good pair with 3700x.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had zero issues from this motherboard it runs as expected and doesn't seem to have VRM thermal issues for me despite the rumors of it being bad on the internet. Keep in mind I am only using a 3700x so I am not able to confirm how good VRM thermals are on higher end CPUs.
