Good motherboard to use, post times could be faster as even with memory context restore boot times are around 20 seconds.

I normally go with the A company but this had a better feature set for the quality. My first MSI board and I am very happy with it. It is very solid and has everything one needs for the next 5 years+.

Board is solid. Has enough ports for everything I need, although I do wish all boards went back to 6 SATA ports for non NVME drives. This board does have 4 NVME slots though so it works out. Paired it with a 9800X3D and so far so good.

M.2 SSD Slot Is a Nightmare

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

An otherwise great motherboard is ruined by a poorly designed M.2 SSD slot. Instead of just using a screw, MSI decided to use an over-engineered knob that is very difficult to use. It takes way too much effort to secure an SSD into the M.2 slot. What's worse is that removing the SSD is impossible. I've been trying to remove my SSD and I cannot get it out. The manual contains a link to a YouTube video that is full of comments saying the same things. Extremely frustrating. If this motherboard just used a simple M.2 SSD slot with a screw this would be an awesome product. Unfortunately, this problem makes inserting and removing SSDs a nightmare. I can't recommend this motherboard.

Even though I had some issues early on getting it set up, due to needing a bios update, now I'm really liking the board.

Quailty board that has some major flaws. The 8 pin PCIe power connector is located just under the last PCIe slot. This will limit the slot to only allow short PCIe cards. They should of put it next to the 24 pin main connection like other brands. There is no USB 3.2 2x2 20gbs on the back panel like on Asus boards in the same motherboard tier. Finally, MSI doesn't provide you with a physical manual. This is an unecessary cheap cost cutting move that doesn't look good for MSI. I don't know how someone can build a motherboard for the first time without a manual. This person would have to print out the manual so MSI can't use the excuse it cares for the environment. This one anti-consumer move will make this my last MSI motherboard. (if i don't return it)

I recently purchased the MSI MPG X870E Carbon WIFI, and I must say, it’s one of the best motherboards I’ve ever used. Right out of the box, it feels premium. The sleek black carbon fiber design gives it a stunning look that pairs beautifully with high-end builds, adding an aggressive, modern aesthetic to my PC setup. In terms of performance, this board absolutely shines. It’s packed with advanced features that make it a dream for gamers and content creators alike. The support for PCIe 5.1 ensures future-proof compatibility with the latest GPUs & 50th series and storage devices. I was particularly impressed with how smooth everything runs, from gaming to rendering complex projects. Overall, the MSI MPG X870E Carbon WIFI is an outstanding choice for anyone looking for a high-performance, reliable, and feature-packed motherboard. Whether you’re building a gaming rig or a powerhouse for productivity, this board will not disappoint. Highly recommended!

    Great Mobo!

I love everything about this Mobo. It had everything I was wanting including all the extra USB's that I can eliminate any USB hubs. It doesn't have lane sharing which is great for future proofing as m.2 gen5 becomes a larger play. It is also great to support high speed Lans. Overall everything is great.
