Excellent gaming monitor - do not hesitate to buy

This is an excellent gaming monitor. My favorite aspect of it is the deep blacks, vibrant colors, high refresh rate, and instant response time. It is a huge upgrade from the 1440p 144hz IPS monitor I was using. I chose this monitor over the 32" 4k 240hz OLED versions due to the size and it being 1440p. I have an Alienware R16 with a 14900k and an RTX 4090 and pushing 300+ FPS on a 4k display is difficult but on a 1440p display it is very doable. I also appreciate the 3 year warranty from MSI that covers OLED burn in and the extensive OLED care built into the monitor. You can also upgrade the firmware which is a huge plus. Pros: Deep black, vibrant colors, 360hz refresh, OLED care, 3 year OLED burn in warranty, good price compared to other manufacturers, easy configuration, easy firmware updates, near instant response times, good text clarity. Cons: OLED burn-in is still a concern, having to perform maintenance to prevent burn in, have to periodically update the firmware (although that is also a plus for new features and bug fixes) Overall the monitor is better than I expected. I have an OLED TV but this is my first OLED monitor and I am extremely impressed. If you can afford it and need a new 1440p gaming monitor then I highly recommend. Thanks - William V

    OLED Finally Comes to PC

High quality monitor for a better price than I was expecting. Picked one up open box for $700 and am very happy with the purchase. Been waiting for OLED blacks in the monitor space since I got my S9 back in 2018, and they are as great as I'd hoped. The 360hz is also a nice bonus for competitive games, but the panel is so responsive even at lower refresh rates, that I wouldn't consider 360hz a noticeable jump over 240hz. So, if like I was, you are debating between the 1440p and 4k models, I would base the decision purely on size and resolution (and price). I'd also say that the text fringing issues associated with this panel are visible under certain conditions. But, overall text clarity is about the same as my other 1440p monitors. Pictured are my previous main monitor, MSI Mag274qrf-QD (left), and the MPG271QRXQDOLED (right). Both showing a black image. Also shoutout to Hardware Unboxed and TftCentral on YT. Excellent sources of information for these and other monitors.

    MSI OLED 27”

The MSI line of OLED monitors is great. Has a very high refresh rate which is great for playing games but does not lose in any other areas. The OLED really looks great while playing single player games. The ability to choose your own settings allows for great customization that many other monitors do not give the user access to. In my book this monitor is a clear winner in terms of performance and image quality. Lastly the monitor allows for a total of two HDMI and one DP port which allows for more than enough inputs so you are not having to shuffle around wiring. Set-up took me less than 10 minutes as well.

I’ve been testing out the MSI MPG 271QRX for about 3 weeks now, and it is easily the best monitor I’ve ever owned. The combination of the 360Hz refresh rate and the QD-OLED panel delivers motion clarity you just can't find on traditional IPS or VA screens. In fast-paced shooters, the 0.03ms response time makes a massive difference. There is virtually zero ghosting or blur. Beyond the speed, the colors are incredibly vibrant thanks to the Quantum Dot technology, and the deep, infinite blacks make HDR content look stunning. The build quality is also top-notch, and I really appreciate that MSI included a custom heatsink to keep the panel cool without needing a noisy fan. I was a bit worried about OLED burn-in, but the OLED Care 2.0 features and the 3-year warranty give me a lot of peace of mind. If you are looking for the "gold standard" for 27-inch gaming, this is definitely it. It's an expensive investment, but for the performance and visual quality you get in return, it is absolutely worth it.

The colors on this monitor are amazing, and the ability to go up to 360 Hz is so sweet, especially with my RTX 5080 using frame gen. Games in HDR look incredible, Stalker 2 and War Thunder both look amazing with the graphics cranked up to max. Shooters feel really good too, the max frame rate increase from my last monitor at 165 Hz does make a difference in how I play and I love how the added smoothness looks. Honestly the picture looks great even just doing web browsing and general desktop work. Text clarity woes are totally overstated, I have no issues reading text on this monitor. 10/10 would recommend.

Someone coming from an Asus 1080p LCD 60hz monitor to a Samsung Odyssey 4k 144hz to this I can tell you it is worth every penny. From the amazing brightness to the contrast to the refresh rate and very low input latency whether your on console or PC and even the HDR on this monitor everything screeeeeeeams premium and future proof for atleast 6-7yrs.Not bragging but I do alot alot alot of headache research and buy monitors and return them to see which one is good in every aspect and not once did I think twice about getting this just to try it out and return because of some minor issue it might have. For the price you cannot beat the features this monitor has.

    The best OLED monitor

The best monitor I have used by far, I have been lucky enough to have 3 monitors in my setup, with each one I increased the quality but with this one I have reached the peak of quality, 360hz and the QD OLED make me have perfect viewing angles and it makes me have the best experience when it comes to gaming, the stand surprised me because I usually use arms for the monitors but the stand is also very good, the jump to 360hz is very impressive It is believed that from 240 to 360 it is not noticeable but believe me it is

I was really skeptical buying an OLED monitor because of burn in, but I'm hitting 1k hours on this monitor after using it like a regular LCD and nothing. Not even a sign of burn in, probably because of all the anti-burn in features it has, like cleaning its screen when not in use. This monitor has blown me away, i get that WOW factor everytime I use this thing, it's an insane piece of tech! I did alot of research on which one I was going to dump my money into and I'm really glad i went with this one, it's so sick and even though I'm colorblind, I can see how much richer the colors are compared to a regular hdr monitor. The thing that stands out the most is the deep blacks, and the individual pixel lighting. I watch 4k UHD movies on this machine and its *extremely * noticeable how good the quality is, I've literally been rewatching my favorite movies and replaying my favorite games like RDR2, just to see that OLED effect. It's quite beautiful. But uh, yeah, absolutely don't regret buying this and I highly recommend to anyone jumping into OLED tech, because ts fire bro.

The New God King of Competitive Monitors

Let me start out this review by saying this is not only my first OLED monitor but also my first MSI monitor and I am very impressed on both fronts. The colors are accurate, saturated and really pop. In a dark room the blacks are perfect. HDR produces some stunning highlights. I'm not really sure picture quality gets better than this. The high refresh rate along with the practically instant response time makes motion silky smooth and it almost feels like cheating. I play a decent amount of competitive Overwatch and I can feel the difference even coming from a 360hz LCD. One of the things that kept me away from OLEDs for so long was the fear of burn in but MSI has equipped this monitor with numerous features such as task bar detection, pixel shift, static image detection and more. You know they are confident in their product because it also comes with a THREE year burn in warranty. In summary, the picture is perfect, the high frame rate makes competitive games a blast and MSI has given me peace of mind that I can use this monitor to its fullest. Before I had a chance to use this monitor I was expecting the brightness to not be quite as high as the LCDs I had been using but honestly it doesn't look much dimmer at all. If I had to come up with a weakness for this monitor, its that in a bright room the blacks look more purple than black. That's because QD OLED technology doesn't have a polarizer but its not that noticeable in game. In a dark room its a flawless monitor.

Best motion clarity and visuals ive seen on a gaming monitor. Glossy OLED + 360hz = phenomenal. It’s perfect for FPS games but makes everything look beautiful. Colors look amazing. I would recommend playing in a low light setting as lights will reflect off the surface. It is packaged well with a protective peelable layer over the surface. Only complaint is the short powr cord and short usb-B cable. Other than that best monitor I’ve owned and only $799.

A Game Changer In 1440p Gaming

This monitor is a complete game-changer! The QD-OLED panel delivers insanely vibrant colors, true blacks, and top-tier contrast. Gaming at 360Hz with a 0.03ms response time feels unbelievably smooth, no ghosting, no lag, just pure responsiveness. HDR performance is fantastic, making everything pop, whether you’re gaming or watching content. The build quality is solid, and the connectivity options (HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort, USB-C) make it super versatile. Only minor downside is that text clarity isn’t as sharp as traditional LCDs, but it’s barely noticeable unless you’re staring at text all day. If you’re looking for the best 1440p monitor out there, this is the one to get. 100% worth the price!

The new MSI MPG 271QRX has been an absolute game changer in terms of performance. This is largely due to its 360Hz refresh rate that brings silky-smooth motion to fast paced games; there is virtually no ghosting. Its QD-OLED display produces perfect, true blacks, as well as vivid color that add to the overall immersion of playing through dark or horror type games. The high-gloss screen coating is a huge advantage over the matte coatings on all other screens I have used; the gloss gives off a much more vibrant image and is much clearer than matte coated screens. In my opinion this has been the best gaming monitor I have ever owned.

This is my first OLED monitor, and I am not disappointed. I did not believe that there was much of a difference between OLED and IPS, but I have been proven wrong. The blacks are amazing, and the brightness exceeds any monitor I have previously had. Also, I really like that the screen is glossy. I know for some this is a dealbreaker, but I genuinely love it. The only downside is that you need to be in a dark room to really get the most out of it, but this is the case for most monitors so it's not a big deal. I highly recommend this product to anyone that wants to elevate their gaming experience.

So far it's been a phenomenal experience for gaming and video watching. Easy to navigate through color features and adjusting for different types of use. Have been playing FF7 rebirth on ps5 and it has been looking amazing. Minor complaints so far is that it did not come with a displayport cable even though that is the only way to get firmware updates for the monitor.

Great for Valorant, Rocket League, or any game! Only thing is, maintaining an OLED monitor is very tricky. You have to clean micro stains, fingerprints, and the pixels in the monitor after long gaming sessions. Only wish I had bought a higher refresh rate monitor

I discovered, and ultimately purchased, this monitor because I was looking for something that would connect over USB-C and also charge my laptop. There are several monitors out there that meet those criteria but very few that can deliver up to 90 w PD ("power delivery" is the industry term for charging capacity). So that right there was enough to convince me. However, I also prefer to game with my Xbox Series X and PS5 on a monitor as opposed to a TV because of the response time. I have an OLED TV which has a very nice picture but when it comes to playing FPS games it is undeniably worse than a monitor. For example, I like to play Zombies in COD and when I set up my consoles on the TV I just could not react and move my reticle/character around with the same speed and fluidity as I could when they were hooked up to my old monitor. Despite the fact that the TV supports 4K 120 Hz, the spec that is of the greatest importance is response time. After a few sluggish and awkward matches I moved the Xbox back to the monitor which is only 2K 144 Hz but with much better response time. This MSI monitor has an even faster response time than my other monitor. I still have the PS5 hooked up to the OLED TV because I don't play and FPS on the PS5, but for games that response time is important, it has to be on a monitor. And lastly, let's talk about the perhaps most impressive feature of the monitor - the picture!! The colors/textures look SO good on the Quantum Dot OLED monitor. It's even better than the OLED TV. It's a really really nice display. The build quality is great, it has 2 HDMI 2.1, 1 Aux, 1 USB-C, 1 DisplayPort 1.4, 1 USB-B, and I'm not sure about optical audio. Highly recommended!

MSI MPG271QRXQDOLED Review – A Stunning High-Performance Monitor I’ve been using the MSI MPG271QRXQDOLED for a little while now, and it’s honestly an incredible monitor—easily one of the best I’ve owned. Right out of the box, the design is sleek and modern, with a solid build that feels premium. The 27-inch QD-OLED panel is absolutely stunning, delivering rich colors, deep blacks, and insane contrast that makes everything pop, whether I’m gaming or just working. Performance-wise, this thing is a beast. The 360Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time make everything buttery smooth—no ghosting, no input lag, just pure responsiveness. If you're into competitive gaming, this is a dream come true. I primarily play FPS games, and the difference compared to a standard IPS panel is night and day. Even outside of gaming, the clarity and vibrancy of the display make everyday tasks and content consumption super enjoyable. HDR400 support is solid, though it's not the absolute brightest HDR experience out there. Still, thanks to OLED’s natural contrast, HDR content looks fantastic. The monitor also comes with FreeSync Premium, which helps eliminate screen tearing, and it works well with NVIDIA G-Sync even though it’s not officially certified. In terms of connectivity, you get DisplayPort, HDMI, and USB ports, so it covers all the essentials. One thing to keep in mind—since it's an OLED, there’s always the concern of burn-in over time, but MSI includes some built-in screen protection features to help mitigate that. As long as you take care of it, it shouldn't be an issue. Overall, this monitor is worth every penny if you want top-tier performance with stunning visuals. It’s perfect for competitive gamers, content creators, or anyone who just wants a premium display experience. Highly recommend!

I recently acquired the MSI MPG271QRX, a 27-inch QD-OLED monitor boasting an impressive 360Hz refresh rate, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations, especially for competitive gaming. The standout feature of this monitor is undoubtedly its motion clarity. The 360Hz refresh rate delivers an incredibly smooth and responsive gaming experience, making it ideal for fast-paced titles like Valorant, Overwatch, and CS:GO. The clarity of motion is unparalleled, providing a distinct advantage in competitive scenarios where split-second decisions matter. One notable aspect that sets the MSI MPG271QRX apart is its QD-OLED display technology. The colors are vibrant, and the contrast is exceptional, contributing to an immersive gaming experience. The 27-inch size strikes a perfect balance between a spacious display and maintaining a comfortable viewing distance. The anti-reflective coating on the screen adds another layer of sophistication to this monitor. Not only does it minimize glare, but it also imparts a beautiful gloss appearance to the display. This feature not only enhances the overall aesthetic but also improves text clarity, which is particularly beneficial for tasks beyond gaming. The display's versatility is a welcome addition, making it suitable for both work and play. Considering the MSRP, the MSI MPG271QRX stands out as a compelling option in the QD-OLED monitor category. The value it offers in terms of performance and visual quality makes it a competitive choice against other monitors in the same class. In conclusion, the MSI MPG271QRX is a powerhouse for competitive gamers seeking the best motion clarity and responsiveness. Its QD-OLED technology, coupled with the anti-reflective coating, sets it apart in terms of visual appeal and versatility. If you're looking for a top-tier gaming monitor with excellent value for money, the MSI MPG271QRX is certainly worth considering.
