I had to replace a card that had died. I love the new Nvidia card for Apex, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Davinci Resolve video editing. Its a mid-priced, mid-range card but it's working great. I do have 256GB of RAM cards, which I think helps as well. I also like the video capture feature.

Excellent GPU works great can run 4K in most games and run 1440p also the 12gb is worth the price and the ray-tracing, definitely recommend this card to play games with great FPS.

I built my PC during the pandemic with a bunch of parts that I had laying around since new prices on hardware were way over retail price. This year I bit the bullet and decided to perform a much needed upgrade, an Intel 6500k to a 12700k and AMD RX 570 to this Nvidia RTX 3060. I got the graphics card and motherboard in store, and had to wait 4 days for the CPU to come in. I was curious to see how the 3060 would perform in my old system so I popped it in, and after launching a game it played for 5 minutes and then crashed. I thought that was weird so I tried every single Nvidia driver version and still got crashes. After that didn’t work, I put off troubleshooting until I installed the new CPU and motherboard, and after doing that the issues persisted. I tried a clean Windows install, a bunch of different driver versions (again), installing a more powerful PSU, and undervolting/underclocking the card in MSI Afterburner, but nothing worked. I did some more research and there’s a decent amount of people having similar issues with factory overclocked 30-series cards, but have fixed it by undervolting/underclocking the card. After this headache, I just ended up returning this and swapping it out with an XFX SWFT 309 6700XT and have had no issues whatsoever. I’ve been using AMD cards for around 10 years with no issues and it sucks that my first experience with an Nvidia card went this poorly, and I’m not sure if I’d buy one again.
