Excellent 1440p card.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my XFX 5700XT as it wasn't performing as well as I'd like at 1440p with this card, and I can confidently say it's a 1440p king. The card ranges from 25-60% faster than the 5700XT depending on the game, and does this at a slightly lower TDP. My experience so far has been that the card runs cooler (sub 70C) than the 5700xt, quieter and much faster. I would have preferred a larger frame buffer than 8GB, like say, 10-12GB, as when I usually upgrade my cards I have always traditionally gotten a card with more VRAM, but as long as the performance holds up, that's what matters. The card is quite large, almost as large as my XFX 5700XT THICC III, which was the largest card I've ever personally used. It comes with a bracer bar which is a nice touch, and helps take some of the load off the PCIE slot and reduces board flex, although the nice backplate already accomplishes that. I'm also pleased by the nondescript design and lack of cheesy RGB that will likely burn out in a few years. RGB is one of the worst trends in GPUs over the past few years. It reminds me of the days of LEDs that died in cases and looked terrible. Overall, this GPU fills a very important position between mainstream and enthusiast products. It's positioned to perform solidly at 1440p and lighter 4k games, and does this without the voltage spikes the 3080 experiences. As long as you don't expect $800 performance out of a $500-600 card, you will be very happy with this card.

Overall Satisfied
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a 3070 it’s gonna perform like a 3070 should. what makes this unique is how great the overclock is. It can overclock, and I mean it can OVERCLOCK. This card was meant to be OC’d and it delivers. There is no RGB, but the sleek design makes up for it and could give an RGB computer a unique look despite this slight con. This is an ideal 1440p card, it can run every game at ultra settings. It was overpriced when I got it, quite a bit more than the other options on this site, but at this point you should go for it, the prices will only increase. Finally getting this bad boy delivered was so relieving and I felt like a kid at Christmas again. If you get the chance, GET IT!

Great card.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Same performance of a 2080ti but runs cooler and is very quiet even at high fan speed. Although the 2080ti has 11gb, the 3070 has better ray tracing and dlss along with better nvenc encoding. Overall very satisfied with this purchase but definitely $560 is the most you want top pay for this card, dont buy it on ebay.

Workhorse of a card
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great card -- Still surprised I managed to snag one while it was in stock. (Check availability on Friday AM, y'all) This is all the GPU I'll probably need for quite some time. I replaced a burned out Vega 56 which ran hot and loud. ==== Performance ==== In comparison, (I am playing currently on 1080p and I do see some bottle necks in performance especially in poorly optimized titles), this card handles everything I throw at it with ease. I plan upgrade to 1400p in the near future to really get the most out of this card, and it should be more than enough to my gaming needs. I don't play many AAA titles, and I ultimately chose team green for the software stack and their card performance for productivity tools like Blender. ==== Temps & Noise ==== I haven't pushed the card to its limits by any means, but for casual gaming I rarely see this thing exceed ~70c. I currently have it mounted horizontally with fresh air draw from the front of the case. I ended up adjusting the fan curve from the factory settings with MSI Afterburner. I pushed the curves up a little bit to get better cooling performance without really impacting noise levels. ==== Size ==== This is a beefy card. As someone who was planning to downsize to a smaller case in the near future, I've now got to do some extra research to see what cases can accommodate it.

Not perfect, but still a 3070
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re looking at this, you probably already know what a 3070 is. Overall, the build quality and packaging is adequate, however the extended heatsink fins were bent slightly in the packaging. Other than that and the somewhat flimsy support bracket supplied with the card, it’s solidly built. Performance is just below average for 3070s, according to userbenchmark, this could be resolved by slight overclocking, but I’m having no performance issues currently. Modern warfare multiplayer runs 90-100 FPS ultra settings with RTX (no high res texture pack). Forza horizon 4 benchmark hits 120FPS all ultra. Both 1440p. Be mindful of the overall length of the card, but it fit in my NZXT H510. In addtion, you need 2x PCI-E 8-pins from your power supply, of which nvidia recommends around 650-750 Watts. At the end of the day, if you want a 3070 before stock stabilizes after the pandemic, this is a solid choice.

Solid. Stable. 3070.
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent card that has performed well and been stable for me for 10 Months now. I purchased before Tariffs etc. when MSRP was $590. Can't say I would recommend on price alone now that it is $780, but if you desire a solid 3070 this will do. Despite the "OC" in the title there is no significant performance to be had by overclocking this card. It has PLENTY of thermal overhead and can run at 100% usage for hours without overheating because of the overbuilt cooling solution, but like many early 3070 models this card is power limited to the standard 220W design so overclocking doesn't really any better results. There is also no configurable RGB, or any lighting for that matter, on this card. I appreciate minimalist design so that's a plus in my book but it might be a turn off for some.

A 3070, bit overpriced and need to improve quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The base line, it's a good performer for sure. Temperature is good but I have a great airflow case with bottom intake fans right under it. So YMMV. However here are my gripes with it: It's priced at 10+% MSRP over the FE with negligible performance gain. Plus I'm not sure why the top plate doesn't extend to cover all the heat exchanger fins, they are very flimsy and prone to bend. The card requires dual 8-pin. It's an 220W card so I'm not sure if that's necessary. Could be helpful if you heavy OC it. No RGB, not necessarily bad but again you've paid a premium so you'd expect something more. Aesthetics design cues are minimal. One more nitpicking, the manual doesn't show how to properly install the anti-sag bracket. All it shows are based on a generic dual-fan GPU. Although it's fairly intuitive but I'd expect much more attention to details from MSI for a mid to premium product.

Good Price For What You Get
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good card for what you get, its a 2080ti for $500 less which is crazy good. stock core clock is 1755Mhz this card will go well above that. I get stable 1980Mhz on auto OC. Upgraded from 1070ti got x2 the performance. Pro's- Lightweight, sleek, stays cool, will play most game on very high on 1440p monitor. Con's- No metal backplate, stock of card, RGB-less

Powerful and Quiet
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought at $560, looks like an insane deal now. This cooler performs pretty well, and has a nice non-rgb look. Only complaint is that you can't bump the power limit up from 220W on this card. I got some nice silicon and was able to get this card to consistently run over 2ghz.

Great value card
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Managed to grab one of these about a month ago. Wouldn't have been my first choice, but in these times you take what you can get. All in all it's a well built 3070. It performs just as advertised. It's fairly plain looking and has a low key industrial look to it. My only complaint is the stock bios. The max wattage is locked @ 220 and cannot be increased through programs like Afterburner. I've read where people have flashed bios from other cards to unlock it though. It overclocks very nicely even with the restricted power and the fan setup is very nice, although the stock curve is pretty tame. I'm very pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a 3070.

Good entry point for ampere
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I won't lie this card wasn't even on my radar. So on launch day I wanted a 3080 FE and nothing else. After the bots and scalpers got everything I went back and reevaluated things and decided that on the 3070 launch day I wanted the FE but an Asus wouldn't been okay. Again I missed the boat here. After many many weeks of refreshing the page I saw there was a drop happening and cards started showing 'add to cart' which placed you in a virtual queue to add to your cart and then buy. The 3080 I had queued for sold out. The 3090 was next. This was only card that wasn't selling. After 30 minutes waiting it was mine. Now that origin story is over I'll say that this card is enormous and mostly will not fit in a few cases. I have the nzxt h510 which has plenty of parking space. It had dual 8 pin connectors for power. It's not very loud. In fact under high load whether mining or extended gaming sessions this card doesn't really get loud and maxes out around 65 degrees F. As for performance I can run any modern triple A title on max at 60fp and old titles can be maxed at 144hz. I average about 58-72 mh/s mining ethereum. Overall this card was worth the upgrade from my ex 580 but keep in mind the price was raised from 550 to 750 on BB.

No frills but solid performance.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Such an amazing upgrade from the 5700XT. Using it for a lot of PCVR games and it just makes everything so butter smooth. Great GPU if you can manage to find one in stock. (I enjoy the lack of RGB as well for this build). Biggest complaint is that it's one of the highest MSRP 3070 cards without offering a lot of frills to go with it.

BV version
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a big skeptical after seeing bad youtube hardward guru reviews about the thermals. However this turned out to be solid. This card is amazing, I am an undervolter and have an interest in getting overclocked results without excess power consumptions. You dont need a gpu that has extra power limit to tweak. Havent broken past 65*C on any gpu stress test while holding +210 on the core clock and +1200 on memory clock. Fans have never gotten higher than 1300rpm which is perfect, i hard limit all my case fans and cpu fans to 1100rpm. Perhaps the OC version at $550 was terrible, this OC BV that I have is as good as an ASUS TUF. 169% graphics score on userbenchmark, 14210 timespy gpu score. 219watts at peak stress test load. performance per watt is terrific.

MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 3x OC
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing card, got me 60 fps in cyberpunk 4k max settings! Running cool. The heatsink was a little bent on the front, but it is just a cosmetic mishap. This card is really long, it just barely fit in my Fractal Design Meshify C case. Although that is to be expected with a mid-tower and a 3 fan rtx 3000 series card.

Super quiet and cool but very big
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pro: Fast, quiet, and stays very cool during gaming. Con: This is the largest video card I've bought. Maybe that's why it's so quiet and cool during gaming. It takes up so much space. It barely fits my case. If you have a small computer case, I recommend a different card instead.

Worth it at original MSRP!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been working seamlessly. Easy to install and overall solid feeling GPU. Backplate could be a bit better if it covered the entire GPU. Relatively quiet with no issues with temps. Runs most AAA games at 4K 60 high and 1440p ultra

Great card if you can find it
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great card if you can find it in stock. This card doesn't have any flashy RGB or anything like that, if you care about that. I was originally going for a 3080 but was only able to find 3070s in stock, but after receiving it I'm more than happy and glad I could save a buck going with the 3070 vs 3080. The limited Raytracing i've experienced via Minecraft has been absolutely phenomenal, and paired with an i7-9700k its held 70+fps with RTX and DLSS on, out of the box + updated drivers. Holds up excellent in

Great but price has been increased
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works great, runs cooler than my 970 but that’s not much of a surprise. I give it 4 stars because while it runs great... the price is a joke. $815 after taxes is a lot for this card considering 3080’s cost that much. If this is all you can get then I suppose go for it but if other options exist I’d go for the cheaper one.
