Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the PRO Z690-A DDR4 motherboard's strong performance and overclocking capabilities, along with its competitive price and user-friendly design. Many appreciate its ease of setup and the inclusion of multiple M.2 slots. However, some users point out the lack of integrated Wi-Fi and find the included instructions inadequate. A small number also reported issues with XMP profiles and the ethernet port.

Still the Best on a Budget

I've always loved MSI, I have been using their motherboards for over the past 8 years and they have never let me down. I have been using their budget line series for the whole time and they have always been super reliable and been worth every penny. This motherboard has been very good to me so far and even for a budget board its got more features then I originally thought. It's sturdy, efficient, fast, and looks good doing it. Would 100% recommend for anyone looking into PC building.

    great budget performance

for being the cheapest 12th gen board, its still pretty expensive, but this board meets all of my standards for a budget board. I like the integration of a pcie gen 5 slot but im not sure if its worth having the others be gen 3. Overall a very simple board, enough fan headers for anyones needs and will take advantage of the 4 m.2 slots. I would say my only concern is aesthetics, for a low end z690 board costing $220 it could look cleaner.

Solid Motherboard, But Lacks Adequate Documents

Good motherboard, that performs well. My only gripe is the lack of adequate documentation provided by MSI. It took some time to figure out exactly what goes where and how to set certain things up; otherwise I glad with the purchase.

    Awesome board

Has everything I need for a mid-range build with room for overclocking in the future. Setup in BIOS was straightforward, and the non-RGB look of the board is a plus. Make sure to grab the chipset and network drivers from the MSI site, as it won't be compatible with ethernet off the bat. Overall, a sleek, hassle-free motherboard.

Needed a cpu upgrade to handle cpu intensive games. Managed to lock in on this budget mother board switching from ryzen cpu to intel cpu. Handles the i5 13600k. Just ran into some bios issues make sure you have all the recent drivers downloaded on a flash drive for when you boot

    Good budget motherboard

I recently purchased this motherboard alongside an RTX 3070 and 13600k, but at first could not get it to work, with the CPU debug and DRAM debug light flashing. Turns out that if you buy a 13th gen intel CPU with a z690 chipset, you need to update the bios. Once I figured this out, I installed windows 11 no problem. So far has worked well.

The Mobo was faulty! I had to wait a month for all my parts to come and then find out the mobo keeps rebooting every 10 seconds and doesn't even display bios after bios update! Since you only have 15 days to return or exchange it im now stuck with a $200 paper weight! DON'T BUY!
