Great portable gaming laptop. Great resolution combined with a 4060 graphics card. Biggest downside to be was the screen quality when compared with the zephyrus g14 for roughly the same price when on sale.

I got it thinking it would be nice since it was top of the line LED screen. I ordered a OLED laptop to compare side by side and the OLED wins by far and was close to the same price. Also started to glitch while using it. Even the MSI on display at best buy the mouse pad stopped working while i was using it. Too many red flags to think it would be a long lasting laptop.

Small finicky screen that sometimes loses the lower portion visibility, and as to the promised ship date? Add several days. If you bought it based on a needful arrival date...?

    Recommend fresh windows install

    Posted .

The 4060 mobile is, in my opinion, decent enough to play most of the games you want to play well at 1080p. The CPU is also pretty good. The laptop is overall very thin and compact, though there is only one USB A port, so it may not be a great fit for people with older periferals. It does have plenty of USB C ports to make up for it. The battery and thermals aren't great for gaming, but that is to be expected of a 14 inch laptop. For word processing, it works great. The main issue is the amount of bloatware that comes preinstalled. I would strongly recommend a fresh install of windows 11 and then installing whatever software you want.

Get a poor product with scratch on it. Ask for a new replacement and it is being processed for 10days without any further notification. Will update review when I get my replacement.

    Worth every penny

I bought the MSI Stealth 14 Studio and all I can say is it’s worth every penny so far. For my needs, I run virtual machines and need more computing power for my lab. I was using a Lenovo Thinkpad P14s with an i5 processor and performance was suffering. I don’t run Windows, but only Linux (EndeavourOS with the Zen Kernel) which was not supposed to be causing issues. Long story short, I ran the same setup on my MSI and did some testing. Even with 1 windows VM open while under load, everything was working fine (no performance issues). Heat wise, depending on the load, the laptop gives off normal heat but it’s expected since it’s a gaming laptop. I truly believe everyone should have a setup like mine (Linux as the host OS and Windows as a guest OS in a Virtual Machine). While running EndeavourOS, I don’t hear the fans turning on like a jet. If you run Windows, be expecting your machine to sound like a jet even after you power it on. Overall, the MSI Stealth 14 Studio is truly a worthy investment.

    Great Deal - Exceeds Expectations

    Posted .

Bought this laptop three weeks before this review. Overall, it has met my expectations. I bought it on sale for $1,099, and I consider that a good deal. The chassis is nice and sleek, and the laptop is lightweight. I have a cooling pad that raises the laptop, allowing for better ventilation, so I cannot comment on how easily the laptop overheats, because I haven't had that issue. Also, I cannot comment extensively on the laptop's actual display, because I am keep it perma-connected to an external monitor. I like the small screen because it makes it portable, while the external monitor lets me scale it up to a bigger screen for more comfort. So far, I've used it to play the following games: 1. Witcher 3 - 40 hours in, been playing on Ultra, capped at 90 fps. I'm sure it could go higher, too. The experience has been smooth. 2. League of Legends - High settings, capped at 100 fps. Even a toaster should be able to go higher on this game, so it doesn't speak to the laptop's limits at all. 3. Read Dead Redemption 2 - High settings, capped at 60 fps. I'm sure it could go higher, but this has been alright for me. Overall, I think it's a great deal. The only thing I dislike is that MSI Center and Xbox GameBar (both of which come pre-installed) are a little annoying. I personally would do a clean install of Windows so I don't have to deal with bloatware, but that's just me, and it's a very minor concern.

Ok value but not well rounded.

You'll find similiar laptops with similiar specs but this laptop isn't meant for a well rounded experience. This laptop lacks a decent keyboard, track pad and speakers. I bought this laptop for dual ram slots, I was going to upgrade to 32gb. But I need a well rounded laptop and unfortunately this laptop doesnt cut it. Coming from an asus rog g14 to this was definitely noticeable. If this were just for occasionally gaming session okay, but I travel a lot and want a well rounded laptop that can also play games.

Msi Stealth models will burn holes in the casing

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The stealth lineup is way too thin and doesn’t give the components any room to breathe. It will run VR games despite dropping the “VR READY” marketing schlock years ago. Within a year you will notice the stickers becoming unstuck through the sheer heat it produces and then the casing will have weird “bubbling” and turn a metallic white color. By then the warranty will be over at around the 1 year mark and MSI customer support is a joke. They do not replace laptops nor do they do repairs according to the racist spanish speaking dude from msi tech support on the phone. Any reviewers claiming they do is fraudulent.
