Customers are saying

Customers value the SUPER VENTUS OC NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card's high performance, excellent frame rates, and impressive graphics capabilities, particularly in games and VR applications. However, some customers express concerns regarding the card's cooling system, noise levels under heavy load, and its price point relative to performance. While many appreciate the ray tracing features and high resolutions supported, the size of the card and potential for coil whine are also noted drawbacks. Overall, opinions are mixed, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses.

    Great Performance, Horrible Bugs

Good: Double the performance of a Nvidia 1060 6GB. Games look fantastic. Syncs up really well with Freesync monitors, and there is minimal screen tearing or input lag. Felt liberating to put everything on ultra ultra-high and still get 75fps. Bad: The bad is very bad. Awkward and unusual driver-level errors (with the latest drivers from AMD). For example: an HDMI connection will randomly fail while playing Witcher 3, on a cutscene load. Or upon closing Overwatch, the exit screen will exit the game and then leave you with a black screen. On Windows, sometimes the Windows menu icon disappears. High temperature loads require manual setting of fan speeds to >50% in Radeon Wattmann to avoid unexpected downclocking and system shutdowns. I should mention, my system has excellent cooling. I've got two 120mm case fans in the front blowing in cool air, a 140mm exhaust out the rear, and another 120mm fan exhaust out the top. My tower is a mid-tower, not some ITX cram space. My power supply is excellent. Using a 650W Corsair modular power supply that has been working flawlessly with an Intel I7 7700K for two years. This card is unfortunately a disappointment and I'm probably going to RMA it unless I can figure out a fix for all this, but all my forum snooping basically boils down to is that this entire line of Radeons has faults no matter what manufacturer.

Very excellent card, the only real issue is its heat sync and look.
