Customers consistently note the Multigroom Series 7400's excellent battery life and ease of use, along with its waterproof design and useful attachments. Many appreciate its power and water resistance, finding it convenient for showering. However, some users found the trimming performance inconsistent and the body shaver less effective than expected for a close shave.

Good product, well worth the money
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In short, it's a great trimmer and has tools/attachments for all your needs. I have been using it for almost 2 months now and am very satisfied with the results. Here are detailed observations based on my use so far: Pros: 1. Shower proof (I have not tried this in the shower or tested the waterproof aspect of it yet) 2. Attachments easy on/off 3. Combs slide easy on/off for length of hair. 4. 9 attachments (5 trimmer/shaver + 4 combs), all around trimming, including nose/ears trimmer and bread/mustache, eyebrow combs. 5. Turbo boost for faster cutting (I have a really tough beard). This feature comes really handy for me. 6. Lithium-ion battery. Fully charges in one hour. Battery light continually blinks while charging. Off when done. Useful for one hour. When approx 10 minutes charge is left, battery indicator turns orange. Quick charge for 5 minutes use. 7. Travel bag made od foe leather. It holds complete kit, plus several extras. 3" wide - 9" long - 6" tall. Cons: 1. It is a bit loud and sounds even louder when trimming close to ears 2. The Nose Hair attachment is odd to use, weird angle - not as effective as the round attachments offered with other models 3. No cleaning brush included - challenging to remove hair clippings from certain trimmer heads Conclusion: This is a great product and worth a try if you are in need of a trimmer which can do it all!

Great trimmer!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent trimmer with a lot of options for many different functions! Works great as a beard trimmer and to clean up in between haircuts with many different adapters for a close shave or keeping your neck cleanly cut. The only thing I wish it was able to do is shave while it's still plugged in but the battery charges very quickly and last for a long time as well. I would definitely recommend this anyone who's looking for a versatile trimmer!

Nice grooomer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this in exchange, for my honest review. Very versitile groomer for men, and as a bonus its able to be used in the shower. Comes with a array of useful attachments, for trimming hair, beard, nose and ear hair, etc. As a added bonus, its rechargable which I really like. Vs, my old battery operated trimmer, this will likely replace.

A great buy!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As always, Philips has a great packaging for its trimmer / shaving electronics. Easy to open and use. This is the perfect beard trimmer, especially at this price range. Have used several body trimmers over the years but this one is the best of the bunch. It is obviously well built. The trimmer length attachments also work well, as long as you start longer than you think you'll need. I cleaned up my sideburns quite effectively with the trimmer and its length attachment. My previous method of doing so was to use a tiny scissors and it took so much longer! I have had this trimmer only a couple of months so its longivity is unknown at this time. However, we have had great service from Philips products in the past so I expect it to have long life. Battery lasts for days/weeks! It does a really nice job trimming my beard. It's easy to clean and manipulate. So far I've really gotten a lot of use of it trimming my beard and am now trying to learn how to cut my hair with it. Bag provided with this package is great. Really great piece of equipment and the price was perfect.

Pretty good Shaver for everyone
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I really want to get my issues with the shaver out of the way so that it is just out there. I have a particularly thick beard and this shaver had a hard time taking it off especially when I got to the shorter stuff of my beard so if you are looking for a shaver that is amazing at taking that off then you will be disappointed. Considering its price point I was also kinda hoping that it would come with some sort of charging cradle as opposed to a simple charger, but it is just a lay down and charge style. That being said it did manage to get the job done and I am really happy that it comes with so many attachments such that I can set my beard and facial hair however I like. I also used it to shave my head and while it wasn't particularly effective at the shortest stuff it did do a good job. The previous shavers that I had would often die from battery usage because of how thick my beard was, but this one didn't have an issue with it overall. I can certainly recommend it on that note. A carrying bag would be nice so I can keep the attachments organized as well because there are a lot of them.

Well made! And works well!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Philips Norelco - Multigroom Series 7400 Wet/dry Trimmer is well made. Feels solid in your hand. It is waterproof. The battery last forever after fully charged, you want the battery to last if you bring this for travel. It comes with a traveling bag is a sweet touch. The only drawback is it does not come with a stand to place the trimmer, easy fix by placing it in a cup.

Great tool to keep you trimmed up.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using another brand's trimmer for a few years to keep my beard and mustache trimmed up and thought I was happy with it. After trying this thing out, I'm not going back to the old one! This works very well for trimming with clean cuts and no pulling at all, not that my old one did that, but this one cuts very well. I like the way the heads are designed, allowing it to be cleaned easily and keeping the hair from getting trapped in and around the combs. I always had problems with that and often had to pause trimming just to clean out the hair, then try to remember what setting I had it on when I put it all back together. I was a bit disappointed that it doesn't come with any cleaning brushes, but the rinse and dry method seems to work OK, so we'll have to see how it holds up in the long run. It does come with a tube of oil to keep things from wearing out too quickly. The kit also comes with a bag to store everything, which is a nice feature so that it doesn't have to sit around the counter or worrying about parts getting lost . I tried trimming around my ears, but even though this is very quiet I can't get it too close for too long. It is much quieter than my old one was even new, and the "Turbo" mode only adds a small amount to the sound. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product and plan on using it for years.

Norelco continues to impress
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using Norelco products since I’ve been old enough to shave, beginning with rotary razors and now trimmers. The Norelco 7400 trimmer kit is no exception to the quality and craftsmanship of the Norelco brand. First, the trimmer charges fairly quickly and the charge lasts for multiple trimmings. The blades are sharp and the motor is powerful enough even without the turbo speed to not pull or tear the hair from my face. My favorite part of this trimmer is the guards. They do not have the long extensions on the ends so for beard and moustache trimming, it is much easier than other brands where the guards have the longer triangular legs on them. The shaver attachment is great for a quick clean up but not something I would use for a full-face shave. The 7400 is able to be used in the shower but other than having a damp goatee, I personally don’t care for an electric shaver in the shower, although, it would make clean up from the trimmings a little easier. The only thing that that bothered me with this trimmer is the direction the blade is. Compared to my previous trimmers, the blade is 180 degrees turned so it took a few times to get used to holding the trimmer differently but the end result was as expected from the brand and I will continue to use Norelco.

Lots of shaving configurations
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this razor has a lot of different heads for different shaving needs. I really like the beard trimming settings. There are a few different heads and each one can be adjusted further for that perfect trim. I did find it a bit confusing on how to install the guide head for the right trim, but after a quick look in the instructions, I was able to figure it out. Removing the heads to swap out to the different razors or the nose/ear trimmer is a bit tricky, but once you figure out which way to turn it, it comes off nicely. Included are all the heads you would ever need, some lubrication oil for the blades, and a very nice carrying case that holds all the accessories with plenty of room. I have used this for a little over a week and nearly every day and so far I have only charged it for the initial charge and it is still going strong. I really enjoy being able to use this in the shower so I don't have hair to clean up around my sink. I am looking forward to using this alot more and keeping my stubble beard looking its best!

At last: a powerful cordless
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used other cordless trimmers and was always disappointed by their lack of power. Not only does the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7400 Wet/Dry Trimmer have plenty of power in its regular mode, it also has a turbo boost function when needed. So far I have used it to cut hair, do body grooming and precise trimming, and eliminate nose and ear hair. It has performed all of these functions easily and very well. I especially like the way it feels in my hand: hefty enough to seem substantial, but well shaped and balanced so that it maneuvers easily. There is a bit of a learning curve, as with any new piece of equipment, but the instructions are adequate and it wasn’t long before I felt comfortable changing out the attachments and performing various tasks. It charged quickly out of the box, and I have never sensed any lessening of battery power during use. I recharge it after every use, but that might not be necessary. Too soon to tell how well it will hold up, of course, but it certainly feels like it is well made.

Great overall trimmer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a wonderful overall trimmer with a variety of different attachments that are easy to switch between. The design of the trimmer is sleek and the wet/ dry funtionatility makes for easy cleaning. Additionally the battery charges quickly and holds charge for a long time. The noise level can get a bit high using turbo mode, but it is never anything more than just noticeable to me. The travel case is also a nice touch to keep everything together when I travel. There are a few negatives for me that really come down to operator error/ preference. The placement of the power button is where I naturally rest my thumb which can get a bit annoying. I usually end up turing it off a few times before I find a comfortable alternate hold. Also, the first beard trim found me accidentally taking WAY too much off. While the combs are a bit on the flimsy side, I think that it could have mostly been avoided by taking some time to get used to the trimmer. I haven't had any other problems since and would very much reccomend to a friend. Pros: - Variety of attachments - Wet/ dry funcitonality - Stout battery life/ short recharge time - Travel case included Cons: - Placement of power button - Semi-flimsy guards

The Good and The Bad
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Charges in an hour for 1 hour of run time, and will run for 5 minutes on a 5 minute charge. Shape is comfortable in your hand. Can be used wet or dry. Has several attachments for every part of your body. Trims beards quickly and easily. Turbo button for tough beards. Works well on most parts of the body. Comes with a very nice leather pouch. Cons: Very loud, especially annoying when trimming ears. No attachment for trimming eyebrows Power button is located where your thumb usually rests. This results in constantly turning it off by accident. The comb attachments for body grooming have wide spaces which allows your skin to get caught inside and cut. The instructions do warn of this and tell you to make sure to pull your skin tightly to avoid injury. No angled attachments for trimming your hair around your ears. The instructions say to hold the trimmer at an angle. That's impossible to do consistently around both ears. Every trimmer I have ever owned had angled attachments, and they cost a lot less than this. No brush is provided for cleaning, Expensive at retail price. Overall a good wet/dry rechargeable trimmer, but look at the cons and decide for yourself whether they are important to you. On sale I would probably recommend this.

Jack of all trades
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used several different trimmers and shavers over the years and this one encompasses everything you would want in one. Not only does it include all the attachments you would need, the convenience of it being wireless with a rechargeable battery that lasts through several uses, it is also waterproof in the shower which can be a big perk. I will tell you that I accidentally submerged it in water, which I would not recommend, and it still works. The trimmer is relatively compact and lightweight which I believe is why I dropped it in the first place. It is also very quiet. The size of the trimmer is good as it's not too big for the smaller areas and/or curves on your body you are trying to take care of. All the attachments included cover any type of shaving/trimming you can ask for. I'll admit that my wife and I have used them all for anything you can imagine just to try them out and they are very easy to swap out and use. The turbo setting came in handy to prevent any cuts that would have more than likely resulted from a slower speed trimmer. I have been very pleased with this model and would recommend it to anyone in the market for a multigroom trimmer.

Fast charging shaver, does a good job
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now these things for me are never going to replace a good old razor but that's not the point if this. What this is, is a multi tool to groom, you can shave with the correct head, you can trim, you can do nose hairs, it even tells you on the box that it's ideal for manscaping. It's a fast tool that will help you when needed. Build quality is like most in this price range, a lot if plastic, good grip and a powerful motor. It shaves really well, sometimes to well as I found out having to pretty remove my facial hair due to using a wrong setting, but it goes through your hair no problems, it doesn't pull or pinch. It's great for defining lines and that trim work that is slow and tedious with scissors. It comes with a nice carry case that fits everything and more inside, it's easy to transport and is ideal for that guy who travels a lot, it's a convenience. I do recommend this, it's great for what it is

Awful..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace my old worn down shaver. I use it to trim my beard mostly because I prefer to have a little stubble over a clean shaven look. My work out razor cuts better than this. The guards are either too thick to cut or they don't cover the blade well enough to actually provide any sort of guard. Honestly tried to return but it was too late..don't make my same mistake!

Awesome Shaver
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Philips Norelco Multigroom 7400 series has been a treat to use. Out of the box, and with its price in mind, the quality of the shaver is apparent. At its retail price, it is still well within reach for those who want to spend a little bit more on a shaver. In the box, you will note several accessories including the Body Comb, Precision Trimmer, Nose Trimmer, and lastly my favorite feature: a storage pouch for traveling. In addition, the size of the shaver felt perfect in my average size hands. Even in large hands, the size should still feel solid. All too often some of the shavers I have tried are too bulky and after long periods of use, they tend to not work as well. Thus, I was excited that the Multigroom 7400 felt natural in the hands. I also would like to add that the weight of the device felt solid and was perfect and did not feel obtrusive. Connectively, this helped with the precision cuts that will be mentioned later. Furthermore, the fast charging feature was also another advantage worth mentioning as my last shaver required two - four hours to fully charge before using it. After an hour charging, the Multigroom 7400 was ready to go! For a performance comparison, I tested the Philips Multigroom 7400 with my current shaver - the Braum 3 Series 340s-4 Wet & Dry Shaver. Prior to testing, I was concerned on how it would perform as I have used the Braum for roughly a year and a half and have loved it. However, I was extremely impressed with the results. The detail trimmer was able to precisely cut my beard to a comfortable length. As mentioned, the weight really helped in guiding around the beard and facilitated a clean cut; past shavers would required more force to get the same results. I was pleasantly surprised. In addition, this allowed me to use the bodygroom shaver with no discomfort. Following my beard test, the detail trimmer also did an amazing job for my moustache and eyebrows. The precision of the Multigroom 7400 did an absolute impressive job in these areas! I also tried the nose trimmer and was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was during use. Best of all, no pain! It also did a fabulous job around the ears too. Another advantage of the Philips Multigroom 7400 was that it also has a turbo switch. Using the various speed settings with the body comb, the turbo switch facilitated in reducing the time needed to shave. Personally, I have not seen this feature on other shavers, but it definitely will be a feature that I will look for in the feature. It worked flawlessly! Another advantage of the Multigroom 7400 was the self-sharpening blades, which in addition to providing a clean cut every time, it also helped in the long run seeing that replacement blades can get somewhat expensive at times. Lastly, another aspect of the Multigroom 7400 I noticed was that after shaving and applying cologne to the recent shaven areas, I experienced no burning sensation afterwards. Absolutely amazing! From that alone, the Multigroom 7400 is strongly recommended. In conclusion, I strongly recommend the Multigroom 7400 for its accurate and precise cuts. The product is definitely worth it at its retail price, even though it may seem somewhat high for an electric shaver. However, the performance of the Multigroom 7400 far outweighs its price. In addition, the amount of accessories and the storage case solidifies it as one of the best shavers that I have used. I full recommend the Philips Multigrooom 7400 shaver and have no doubt you will be fully satisfied!

Works well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wear a beard that is short and neatly trimmed, but the hair itself is thick. Until now, I've always used the cheapest groomer that didn't look like it would pull out hair by the roots. My previous one was a low-end Norelco, and I can directly compare it to this one. The first thing I noticed is this one is heavier and feels more substantial. When running, the 7400 is extremely quiet, whereas the previous one was loud enough to wake up my partner. The motor also feels smoother, with less vibration transferred to the hand. When used as a trimmer, this does in one pass what my old one took two or three to accomplish. The ear/nose feature is immensely superior, and trimming unwanted hair on the outside of the ear rivaled a razor. The electric razor feature, used on the neck and cheeks, might work in a pinch, but no one will ever mistake it for a razor shave - in other words, it works about as well as any other electric razor. Overall, if you have facial / body hair to tame, this is a very effective option.

Replaces your razor, clippers, and trimmer!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a fan of this trimmer because of the interchangeable heads, as well as the fact that it can be used in the shower. The shaver attachment works well on my head and face, but I did notice that it had a harder time when my head stubble was wet. It seemed to grab and pull wet hair a lot more than when shaving dry hair, but it shaves as well as the razors with three rotary cutters. The detail/trim head does a great job of trimming around my mustache and the design ensures that I can see what I’m doing without the trimmer body blocking my view. It is also nice to be able to rinse it clean, rather than having to blow or brush it. It functions quietly and a single charge has lasted me for three face shaves, a head shave, and a mustache trim, so far. I’ve ditched my trimmer and other electric razors now that I have this.

Great Trimmer!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Trimmers have been what seems like an annual purchase for me over the years. None of them seem to be very well made or last very long. This new Norelco 7400 I think is very different from the ones I have owned before. Well built, easy to use and charges very fast. Can't stress the charges fast part enough! Most trimmers take half the day to fully charge. This one is fully charged in about an hour. The trimmer comes with far more attachments than anyone will probably ever need and it has a nice carrying case as well. The attachments have finer settings than other trimmers as well. Very detailed settings make getting the perfect trim easy. There is a turbo boost button as well for when you need the extra bit of power. Also, it is a wet/dry trimmer and I have used it in the shower without any issues. All in all there isn't much you can expect from a trimmer other than for it to be well built, charge fast and to be very detailed in its trim. This one checks all of those boxes!
