Outstanding Shaver For A Lot Of Different Needs

I've gotten to the age where all the places I don't want have not have hair, and where I want it, it's gone. With that being said, this Philips/Norelco Multigroom razor is just what I needed to at least make myself a bit more presentable. If it would only help me regrow hair on top of my head, it would be perfect! I'm not going to go through all the attachments, because they all do exactly what they say they will do. My only complaint with them is that I wish there were either additional pieces or the ability to adjust the pieces. What I will talk about is the shaver itself, which is really the important part. The 7400 has a great feel in the hand, is easy to hold, and easy to maneuver wherever you need it to go as long as you are limber enough. The battery life is top notch, I easily got more than 60 minutes of run time out of it which all it is rated for. If it takes you more than an hour to 'manscape', you have other problems and you are asking too much of this shaver! I have not tried the shaver in the shower, mostly because I live in California and we have a drought so I'm not going to hang out in the shower any longer than I have to. I have rinsed the shaver off in the sink which makes clean up quick and hassle-free. Bottom-line, if you are looking for a great all around device for getting rid of all kinds of hair, this is the shaver for you. If your body hair runs a little more towards the neolithic/caveman sort you may want two for when the first runs out of batteries!

Trimmer Set That Does It All!

The Multigroom Series 7400 trimmer by Philips Norelco is one nice setup in a small package. The kit comes with many attachments, a bag, charging cable and lubrication oil(and a lot of it since it is hard to find). Once I opened the package, I checked to see how the quality was, all attachments are very sturdy and the shaver feels like quality in your hand. The shaver itself it very comfortable in your hand and has no sharp edges or molding burrs on the plastic areas, After letting it charge up a bit, I decided to give it a try. Cutting my hair was first and I decided to just shave it all off. What is nice is you can fine tune the length right on the shaver, great idea! It powered through my thick hair with ease and did not cut me up like my old barber shaver does. I also tested it out on my neck under my beard and it gets super close, almost that 5 o'clock shadow look close, and no nicks. My favorite part was something I have always wanted, the nose hair trimmer, man, now I won't look as old as I am with the hairs hanging out. Actually, it worked perfect and my wife won't call me old anymore. The travel bag that comes with it holds everything nice and has extra room to store a comb, brush and other toiletries in it. I did not use any of the attachments yet, but as stated earlier, they feel sturdy and with the built in adjustments, you should be able to perfectly tune in any length of hair you want unless you are still stuck in the 70's. Great job Philips Norelco!

I like that this trimmer comes with a lot of options for various uses such as beard trimmer, nose hair trimmer, body shaver and more. I am pleased with the performance and it is quiet which is nice. I'll be using this for travel purposes so the storage pouch is a must have. Charge has lasted for quite a while and recharging it is fairly quick. This trimmer is a good value for features and cost.

    Swiss Army knife of manscaping

If you are one of those people who is into major manscaping, it's hard to go wrong with this package.. It comes with lots of different attachments to deal with all kinds of body hair. Well, unless you simply want to just shave. That is not in its formal resume (shaving the face is NOT recommended, according to the instructions) I threw caution to wind and did it anyway with the foil attachment. It sorta kinda works. Not very close and a bit hard on the skin. But it would be OK in a pinch. Overall a powerful cordless motor that is just fine for bearded types who like what I call the hobo look ( a two or three day growth). You can even simply use it cut the hair on your head (but not shave it bald, also not recommend) if your are brave enough., I wasn't but did use it to trim some ragged edges and it worked fine. The plastic comb slides back and forth to allow for various lengths. You need super eyesight though to see the tiny numbers you use to set the length. Works wet or dry. Comes with a case, which you need for the charger (charges qucikly, in about an hour) and all the attachments. A good value if you can find it on sale.

Waterproof Is the Way To Go

The first time my husband used this he said it was better than Remington he received for his birthday. I use it too because it saves me time! First off, it is waterproof allowing me to use it in the shower. That is a huge plus for me when I am in a time crunch to get out the door. It also has a turbo setting that increases the cutting/trimming speed. I originally thought the eight attachments that come with this might be over the top. I was wrong. Members in my household has used every attachment, all are equally impressive as the trimmer. The Pros: Washable making for easy cleanup. I just place it under the faucet to clean and go. Provides up to 60 minutes of cordless shaving per full charge. High- powered lithium ion battery. Has a nice storage pouch that keep the trimmer and its accessories nicely organized. You can operate this wither wet or dry. I find that the Philips Norelco Multigroomer is easy to use, handles nicely and cuts hair better than any trimmer I have used thus far. It is safe to use directly on the skin due to its rounded tips on the blades and easy direction for body grooming. This is truly a multipurpose and resourceful appliance. The battery life is longer than I expected. The Philips Norelco Multigroomer gets used in my household 4-5 times a week. The charge lasts for a few weeks at a time. I do not think you can go wrong with this product.

    A nice quality trimmer.

The trimmer is very nice, has some heft to it so it feels quality and not cheap like some others I've owned. The attachments are all easy to use and it's very straight forward on how to attach them. You either twist the top of the trimmer to remove the attachment or you slide the attachment over the trimming head. The attachments all do their job well, however, I believe due to the size of the trimmer and the spacing of the guards, especially the beard trimming guard, I get a lot of missed areas and have to go over them multiple times. That would really be the only con I can think of for this trimmer. I had a smaller trimmer in the past that was cordless as well and it seemed to do the job better and I wouldn't have to go back over the same areas again and again. One thing I would have liked to see was that the trimmer come with a stand for all the attachments, it only comes with a travel/storage bag. Aside from the trimmer guards needing some revising to maybe not space out the guides as much this is a really nice trimmer that I'm sure I will get a lot of use from for years to come.

    'Head to toe' trimmer.

Over the years, had several shavers and grooming tools from Philips / Norelco. This is the best trimmer yet. It's advertised as 'Head to toe' grooming and it does not disappoint. It comes with the main body, which is the same across 7000 series (and similar to newer shavers), foil body groomer, tube nose trimmer, full-size trimmer, detail trimmer and three combs: Body, beard and hair, a storage pouch and some lube for the full-size trimmer. Unlike older models, this is powered by a Li-Ion battery (non-replaceable). This makes a big difference, because older models with Ni-Cd or Ni-Mh batteries wouldn't hold much charge after two years. It also claims to last up to 60 minutes between charges (when new). The bodygroom is one of the most useful attachments. This is basically the same bodygroomer they've been selling for years and works very well. The foil is a replaceable cartridge. In my previous experience, it can last well over two years. The full size trimmer is what all the combs are used with and works very well. The detail trimmer would be best used on sideburns, etc. The nose trimmer works well. To me, the tube design in this worked better than the circular model used in the past. It can be used in the shower, and has two-year warranty. It also comes with a storage pouch. The charger works in 110-240 (N. American plug only).

This model comes with seven attachments (Nose, Detail, Body Groom, Body Comb, Stubble Comb, Hair Comb, Shaver Head). Head to toe, this unit has your hair removal needs covered. The lithium ion battery charges very quickly. A half hour charge time will get you an average 60 minutes of use. The whole unit is waterproof so feel free to save some time and trim up in the shower. The motor is powerful yet whisper quiet, and the with the exception of the Body Groom comb the blades are self-sharpening. The unit feels heavier and more substantial than some of the other trimmers, which makes it a bit more stable in the hand. This model also comes with a leather storage bag to hold all of the accessories, which is a big bonus. All too often these trimmers come with a ton of attachments which are often misplaced because there wasn't a convenient storage container, the included accessory bag takes care of this problem. Overall this is an excellent trimmer that will last for many years. This kit would also make an excellent gift.

This is a fantastic tool for a guy to own. It does just about everything and eliminates the need for other grooming devices. The battery life is decent and the wet/dry function is very useful. Overall, it seems like a very sturdy tool that would last a long time after daily/weekly use. It also comes with a nice bag to keep all of the accessories in so you don't lose them.

Overall, I give the groomer a 4-Star rating because of its quality. It is comfortable to hold and use and is very quiet compared to what I am used to. Although I haven't used all of its multiple attachments, it does a great job with the ones I have. Having all of these attachments obviously makes it a very useful groomer for the Whole Body which is super! I do have 1 drawback (CONS) for myself. The groomer DOES NOT come with a base unit for it to be set up on your vanity in an organized way ie: Plug it in (standing up) in a base charger that has a storage capacity for all the trimmer heads. It does come with a leather pouch for storage/travel but in my opinion this is inconvenient and unorganized for the home user BUT definitely great for the traveler or for those who don't mind either unpacking it every time or just leaving it just lay on your vanity space. Overall it is still a super groomer and the value is fair and I'm sure this design "oversight" will be improved upon soon. Maybe Phillips Norelco will make one available as an "extra" to go with it soon?

    Decent cordless shaver

The packaging is perfectly placed to explain the different attachments but once they are out of the box you need to look at the directions to remember which attachment is for what use. The shaver works great once it is charged as right out of the box it had no charge. Impressed with how many uses this shaver has. Cuts very even. Some of the minor issues is make sure you are using the right attachment for the right application or you might need to fix an area. Also what I noticed was the adjustment numbers on the side did not match up with some of the attachments but I just then counted the clicks. The last issue I had was the power button should be moved or depressed to help stop the unit from turning off while you are holding it. Once you use the shaver a few times those issues seem to not be an issue. The shaver with all of it's different uses is a major plus and being cordless is another plus. It's hard to say if I would recommend to a friend but it isn't the worst I have used . If you want a wet/dry shaver with multiple uses I would recommend.

Great wet or dry, trim ups or full on shave it off

The shaver comes with an assortment of combs, some oil and a case. The attachments are: 1) Cordless Shaver/ Trimmer 2) Carrying Bag 3) AC Adapter for charging 4) Oil to lubricate the blades 5) Nose trimmer 6) Detail trimmer 7) 3 different combs (Body, Stubble, and Hair) It took slightly less than an hour to charge fully. I first let it run by itself on the counter until dead or to the point I thought it wouldn't be useful, with no load it was 6 mins. While cutting I imagine it would be less but should be able to take any job you throw at it. Although they are not the most powerful pair of trimmers it is adequate for the time to time maintenance needs and trim. For full blown head shave it will work but I think you will sacrifice time. It works great in the shower and therefore there is very little clean up to deal with. While it lacks some standard combs with corded set it is small enough to manipulate to go around ears and shape your neck line or fade up the side. All in all a good value and I would recommend.

This is a great multi function cordless grooming device! It includes 4 types of trimmers. 1.25in, 0.8in, eyebrow/nose, body. There are also three trimmer guards that have small logos that indicate their use: head, beard, body hair. Charging is easy. Plug it in and the light blinks, until it stops and turns off. Indicating its charged! Battery life seems great. I used it for about an hour with no loss of power. The included travel bag has this leather feel and looks very high end. I used the body trimmer and was very impressed. Body hair was removed almost as if I had shaved. A few negatives. The light is one color, white. I personally like when fully charge is indicated by a color change ide red to green. But this does not change the fact that this is a great product. The T turbo boost button for coarse hair, seemed unless to me. I have soft hair and didnt notice a difference on performance when I was trimming my hair. Not sure if this device is water resistance so some clarification would be nice.

If you are looking for a baby face like shave this is probably not a good option, but its great for everything else! It's actually a trimmer, it looks like the trimmers the people at fantastic sams have when they detail your back. This trimmer has a lot of options. I like the nose trimmer option it works great! i used the default trimmer (metal cover) to trim my sideburns, and the body groom shaver is the closest you get to a clean shave. It leaves a slight 5 0 clock shadow shave when i used it on my face, it makes you look groomed but clean cut at the same time, i like it! Perfect for winter time... I haven't used it with water, but its says its waterproof which is an added bonus. This trimmer a long with a shaver and you'll be set and groomed in no time!! I'm gonna be using this trimmer when i need to clean up my hair as its growing (i don't go to the barber shop as often as i should). I have no complaints, good product and its under 80 bucks!!

    Perfect beard trimmer

I've been a fan of Philips Norelco products since my first beard trimmer that lasted several years, trimming my beard and hair with it. This model is even better, having a lithium-ion battery for up to an hour of use and less time charging. I find it nice not having to worry about charging it after every use, since it will last for several trims. It's also shower proof, not that I would really see a need to use it that way, but at least it won't be ruined by a little water. The trimmer feels solid and looks well made, not one of the cheap models you see on an end cap in the store. It also comes with a nice leather-ish carrying bag to put everything in. Each of the comb attachments are fully adjustable and are labeled for body, beard, or hair use, which is very convenient if you use it for all three areas. The nose trimmer and shaver/finishing trimmer attachments are also included, along with a smaller trim attachment. I've had other brands of trimmers that didn't last long, but were also very inexpensive, so it does depend how much you want to spend. However, this trimmer gives me the impression that it will be quite reliable and perform well.

    Great Hair Clippers

My maternal grandfather cursed me with terrible hair genes, so several years ago (and well before my time) I developed thinning hair and patchy baldness on top. The rest of my hair grows quickly, so I need to shave my head a lot. I've been using heavy plug-in professional clippers for the most part. This clipper has been a pleasure to use. They charge quickly and then do as good a job of clipping my hair as the plug-in type. I use them bare with none of the attachments for that. These come with a variety of attachments for clipping hair to various lengths and also some for shaving and removing nose and ear hair. I'll be using the latter next. I can't grow hair on top of my head but inside my nose is no problem. Overall these are easy to use and seem well built. Don't be fooled by the stainless look. These seem to be plastic or some kind of very thin metal and are lighter than they appear. The blades are stainless, however.

You know that you’re not supposed to use most electronics near water, especially not IN the water. But that’s definitely not the case for the Philips Norelco Multigroom Series 7400 Trimmer. Not only can it help you trim down/maintain your beard, cut those pesky nose hairs, and what not, but you can do this while you’re in the shower. The trimmer can be used in both wet and dry environments, making it convenient for you to get your hair in order. This trimmer comes with 8 attachments, rechargeable lithium ion battery that can last for up to 60 minutes per charge, and a storage pouch to carry everything together. The trimmer also has a “Turbo” setting to increase the cutting speed of the trimmer, for when you need to speed up the cutting job. Overall, the Philips Norelco Multigroom Series 7400 Trimmer is easy to carry around, easy to use, and easy to maintain.
