You have to leave phone right beside the speaker to keep it connected. I can stand 5ft from the speaker and if i stand between my phone and the speaker, it loses signal. Other than that, great speaker.

Please also make sure that you have the latest firmware update (ver. 1038). You can update your firmware by connecting a USB device with the firmware update stored on it to the USB1 or USB2 port on your Sound Tower. You can find the firmware file by going to Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper left corner.

And it isnt clear in publications that although 10 can be interconnected, it has to be by hardwiring, not bluetooth.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung MX-T40 Sound Tower and for sharing your experience with the volume output and Group Play functionality.
Group Play allows up to ten additional speakers to be connected, so you’ll hear the music no matter where you're standing or dancing. Extra speakers can be synced from different rooms so the music always travels with you. This can be done with a wired connection or wirelessly for your convenience. Follow these steps to connect your speakers together wirelessly:
1. Press the GROUP PLAY button on the main speaker. The word “HOST” will appears on its display, and the LED will blink.
2. Press the GROUP PLAY button on a second speaker to connect it. The words “GROUP PLAY CONNECTED” will appear on the display on both systems.
3. Repeat the steps to add a third speaker. When it's connected, “GROUP PLAY CONNECTED” will appear again, and the LED will stop blinking.
4. If you want to add more Party Audio systems, continue to repeat these steps.
5. When you want to play music, play it from the main speaker - the sound will come from all of the connected speakers.

You Can Hear it from a Distance!!!

We have one located in the living room and second one is in our kitchen but We can move it anywhere within 100 yards apart like in our garage or on the deck.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i love samsung tvs!!! but this speaker is not that great only reason i bought it is because it was open box for $109 vs $ 300 regular price. i got it to take out side for pool party's instead of the stanmoore marshall speaker.(the sanmore is smaller and it blows it out of the water) it has no treble or bass buttons. just a button for rock hip hop and other type of music and a bass button. it very heavy as well. also the bluetooth is ok. overall not alot of crisp sound more bass. for a 109 bucks i cant complain it'S not chargable like the expensive model i thought it was. FOR 100 BUCKS YES OVER THAT NOT WORTH IT

My only disappointment is that when using a stickshift as the music source, it is not possible to connect one or more of these sound towers wirelessly.

I feel its rival, the JBL Partybox 100 has much better sound, base and has a battery built into it for on the go use. The only reason why I think I'll end up keeping this speaker is because of its unique shape which broadcasts sound at 180 degrees versus just a front facing speaker and it has a remote. In addition, if you plan on using this for movies, there is 0 sound latency unlike some other brands out there. If you have a limited budget, go with the JBL Partybox 100. Samsung really dropped the ball on this speaker, especially at a MSRP of $299.

To adjust the quality to your preference, you can try the different sound effects by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing PARTY, STANDARD, HIPHOP, EDM, ROCK, LATIN, HOUSE, or REGGAE.
You can also press the BASS button to use the powerful bass sound.
