The open box price was too good to return but to be truthful this thing is cheaply made, low quality sound and surprisingly not that loud for its size. My bose 500 speaker in my bathroom outclasses this in every way

These speakers are meant for dancing & not for listening. I bought 2 to pair them as stereos. Very disappointing sound. You can’t hear the cymbals, the sweet sound of the guitar or a wind instrument. All this has is low bass sound. Very muffled sound. Definitely not meant for a home theatre or to connect to TV. I paid $130 & there not worth keeping. FYI - I have updated it to latest firmware. Samsung Pro support is non existent. Their representative have no clue on any audio equipment. They need serious training on their product knowledge.

Set up would be better and sound better with a digital optical cable which this speaker isn't capable of using.

Your Sound Tower provides predefined equalizer settings that are optimized for particular music
genres.
1. Press the SOUND MODE button on the Remote control.
2. Each time you press the SOUND MODE button, the Sound Tower cycles through the available
sound effects: PARTY, STANDARD, HIPHOP, EDM, ROCK, LATIN, HOUSE or REGGAE.
NOTES
• Default sound mode is PARTY.
• When turned off, press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button on product or remote control for more than 5 seconds to turn on in the default Sound Mode setting.

Please know, Samsung Sound Towers can connect with any audio device that is sending a Bluetooth wireless audio signal such as a Bluetooth compatible Samsung tablet. Follow the steps below to pair a Bluetooth device to stream your favorite audio through the Sound Tower.
1) Press and hold the PAIRING button on the remote control for more than 5 seconds to enter the
“BT PAIRING” mode or press the PAIRING button on the rear panel.
2) On your device, select “[AV] MX-T70” from the list that appears.
3) When the Sound Tower is connected to the Bluetooth device, [Bluetooth Device Name] → “BT” appears in the front display.
4) Play music files from the device connected via Bluetooth through the Sound Tower.

When you can mix the sound up a bit! There are several different sounds you can use to get the right sound you’re looking for! Then take your amazing sound and add extra bass!!! Then you add in the groovy lights that mix up with the sound. You can change the lights as well to go with the beat, ambient or disco out!! Super cool! The 300 watts makes this sucker great for our outdoor parties we have with all the teenagers around. A few phones can hook up to this system and the kids go be their own DJs and if you add in a parent the playlist gets even better!! You can also connect several of these speakers and create surround sound. You can also connect using a usb and aux thats located on the back. This is definitely going to add some more fun to our vibe indoors and out!! It’s a must have!

Please know, the Auto Power Down feature will turn off the speaker after 18 minutes of no audio signal or activity to the sound tower. This means if you are playing music or controlling the speaker, it will not power down. Additionally, the MX-T40 will automatically turn itself on when a Bluetooth device is attempting to connect, eliminating the need to turn the device on separately.

I purchased it as I love to sit outside in my hot tub and I needed something I could listen to music through that is solid and portable. The Samsung T40 Sound Tower is that, plus the sound quality is amazing, the lights are phenomenal, and it is so easy to use for all ages!! My kids are trying to fight me for it, so that says A LOT!! Even my pets are intrigued by the lights and clear sound! Since we have been using this more, the speakers really put out the bass sound like nothing else I have ever experienced. The remote capabilities enable this to be used inside as well as outside from a distance and they are extremely easy to use, especially for someone with joint issues such as myself.
