Thank you for purchasing the MX-T40 Sound Tower and for your review. We appreciate you sharing your feedback regarding the sound performance of your new Sound Tower. I’m sorry to hear that your out-of-box experience has initially fallen short of your expectations.
You can try the different sound effects by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then selecting the desired sound effect by choosing PARTY, STANDARD, HIPHOP, EDM, ROCK, LATIN, HOUSE, or REGGAE.
You can also press the BASS button to use the powerful bass sound.
Please also make sure that you have the latest firmware update (v.1031 released April 2, 2021). You can update your firmware by connecting a USB device with the firmware update stored on it to the USB1 or USB2 port on your Sound Tower. You can find the firmware file by going to Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper left corner.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't know what to expect when I got this Tower of Power. Pretty decently sized but not all that heavy. Setup is a breeze, as soon as you turn it on it's looking to pair with a device. Once paired, that's where the real fun begins. I definitely put this through it paces. Played all different types a music and a lot of my favorites to see how it handles them all. On the remote you've got some different sound modes. Hip Hop, Party, Reggae, are just a few that are there to try and make whatever you listen to sound better. There is also a Bass button on the remote. For those who don't like bass, you can turn it off and on with that button. You've also got a Play/Pause button along with a Next and Previous button. Makes it easy to control everything without having to go to the phone to skip or replay a song. Sound quality is pretty good. Even at maximum volume there is no distortion with any song I played and everything came through very clearly. The only complaint that I have is that for as big as the tower is, it isn't loud enough for my liking. Maybe that's by design, but I thought for something of this size that it would be a bit louder overall. That's why I give it a 4 instead of a 5. All in all a pretty nice system.

I have other smaller speakers by Sony, LG, and Bose, I wanted something a little larger and this was perfect. Plenty of powerful for the pool and picnics. Glad I didn’t buy the bigger one, this plenty for my purposes. Very happy with it.
