    They changed the “Total Tech” membership to this new “My Best Buy Total”. You get to keep all of your fantastic total tech membership benefits until your renew date. Afterwards, only this new “My Best Buy Total” plan is available for $20 less at $179 a year. But all of the wonderful benefits like included delivery, installation, and service calls are no longer included with your $179 membership. From what I understand these will now be full priced add-ons even with the membership. Best Buy better do something about their listed $250 delivery and $200 installation, which I understand was more to show the benefits of the total tech membership, but I’m not sure too many people are going to pay $450 for delivery and installation, especially if it’s not a high-end television or appliance. I couldn’t get an answer if the new membership extends warranty for the year like the total tech membership does, but I would imagine that benefit is gone, also. I’ve read over the small print three or four times, and I just can’t see any value in this new membership. Unless something changes, there’s no reason to renew when my wonderful “Total Tech” membership expires, unless it continues to extend warranties.

    I got some use out of it when my friend purchased it but at the end of the day, they weren't even able to cover the repair. Thankfully, I did get to recoup some of the value when it came to troubleshooting a printer.

    This is a good to have but it’s too expensive to buy. I’m not sure how great the benefits of having this because I haven’t broken any of my electronics cover under this plan….

    They give you the protection for free the first two years and then it auto renews!! Tried to make a claim and was told that I need to pay a diagnostician fee. (Which the person didn’t even know how much that was going to be). Writing a review in hopes I can win the $400 gift card so I can get my less then 2 years fridge fixed.

    Not happy they reduced it from total tech to total. Doesn’t cover near as much. Not sure it’s worth the price.

    Totally frustrating and disappointing. The store associates misrepresented the product. they made it seem that I'd get 2 year coverage on my MacBook and all items purchased as long as the plan was active at the time of purchase. My MacBook screen broke just before the 1 year mark. I scheduled the repair but had to reschedule, because of a conflict. Between the init repair ticket and rescheduling, I canceled TotalTech because 1 year passed and I was not still making purchases and didn't force future purchases.Noone stated that I'd lose the ability to repair the MacBook.When I tried to reschedule, after canceling Total Tech, I was told that it was no longer covered. I was stunned, especially when I started the repair process, while the membership was active. I also would think they'd see the repair ticket and advise that canceling would void the coverage.Makes me not want to shop at BestBuy. I've since only made purchases using rewards. Very disheartening. I'm now weathering a $2700 computer because I'm not certain if I should spend $800ish to repair it. There is no extended warranty, as they say. You MUST KEEP PAYING so with the pros and cons and if it's cost effective

    WARNING YONKERS BEST BUY! Iam a loyal best buy customer and member. Over the years I have purchased everything from my TV to IPADS , laptops and I use the geek squad. I recently purchased a dishwasher to be delivered and installed on Sat Oct. 28 in Dobbs Ferry, New York. The window was 9 to 1 oclock but it was delivered at 5pm that day. They took a quick look at the pipe and they said the pipe was too old. It was a 5 years old copper pipe I installed when I changed the sink 5 years ago I pleaded with them to just put it in place and I would install it but they wouldn't. I was surprised by the attitude as this is not the Best Buy I know. and trust, my wife and I brought the diswasher into the kitchen .The next day I called a plumber and he installed it in 15 minutes and said there was nothing wrong with the pipe. He charged me $175. He laughed and said that Best Buy is known for not doing the installations it was the end of the day he said they must have been tired. So that free installation cost be a pretty penny. When I went back to the best buy in Yonkers they suggested I order my appliance from them this week and would save alot of money, I almost did. They suggested I called Best Buy corporate JR offered me $65 Told him to keep it . He said go ahead and give your feedback so here I am. Enjoy!

    This was a decent subscription before all of the changes. It's quickly going the route of the beloved Gamer's Club. I no longer recommend it for most. Maybe if they added benefits instead of constantly removing them. You'd think a yearly subscription would make it easier for customers to buy hard to get items, but it doesn't even do that.

    Disappointed that they no longer cover installation. Scheduling was a mess so it probably isn't a loss, but the membership certainly isn't as valuable anymore.

    It’s a fairly good product if you enjoy discounts on installation of appliances. However, there’s not much in terms of savings otherwise.

    Need better flash sales for total tech members. Also the new version takes away a lot of good festures. Plus the chat app needs to be more useful.

    No longer worth the cost, and has become too hard to deal with. You now have deductibles, some stuff can no longer just be replaced, but they force you to ship it to the manufacturer. Discounts are really not much different than their regular sales. Used to be a great deal, but the service doesn’t keep up with the price tag.

    My last purchase was supposed to include installation. It did not. The salesman did not submit the order correctly and I had to do the installation myself. When I called to complain, no one answered or bothered to call me back.
