Despite the animation being atypical of Ghibli, and neither Miyazaki nor Takahata having anything to do with the making of this film, it is surprisingly funny and moving; like a Japanese counterpart to "Peanuts," almost.

My Neighbors the Yamadas is not full of fantastical adventures are incredibly beautiful art like a lot of Ghibli films, but it's a nice, pleasant little thing and it's great to finally see it on Blu-ray in the States.

An older title out of Studio Ghibli. It's a little dated animation wise and the story is very simple, but its fun to watch nonetheless.

This was a ghibli film that I had always missed seeing. Finally getting to watch it, it has become one of my favorites. Don't miss it!
