A good portable charger

I needed a charger since my touch 4g slide battery doesn't hold a charge for the whole day. The price of the charger could be a little cheaper maybe around $50. Since we are going to lengths to make sure our phones or devices don't die when we need them the most, for example during super storm sandy aka Hurricane Sandy. This charger also charges my iPod 4th generation and my iPad. Its not a small compact charger but it does the job when your phone is dying because of playing candy crush, checking twitter, instagram, and facebook.

Not sure what happened with the first reviewer, but mine worked fine. You do have to hold the power button down for 3 seconds to get it to start charging the Iphone 5, but the instructions explain that. My only knock is that it is a little too big and the price should be around $75 instead of $100. Otherwise, it works as advertised.

First, yes you must hold down the battery button for a few seconds to activate the iphone cable, also the battery life gets better after 5-10 cycles, you might at first notice short life, but only because it needs to be broken in. I have no issues with this device, it charges my iphone 5: 1%-100% with some battery life left after! this item is def worth the $$ it just depends on your lifestyle uses

I really wanted to love this device. There are so many things about this device that I was excited about. I have an iPhone 5, iPad retina, and Blackberry curve that I use daily for work and personal uses and I have yet to find one product that can charge all three without extra cables. The Mycharge Hub could have been the answer to my prayers. But alas, the saying "if it's too good to be true then it probably is" has never been so rung so true.
I purchased the Mycharge Hub from Best Buy and immediately out of the box began charging my iPhone 5. After 10 minutes the Mycharge stopped charging my iPhone. I checked the battery meter and it was solid green (71%-100%) so it should have continued charging. I plugged in my iPad to see if it was my phone that was the problem but the Mycharge would not charge my iPad either. I then plugged in my Blackberry via the integrated micro-USB and boom... the Blackberry started charging. The culprit then, was the integrated lightning cable which was defective.
I was able to exchange the myCharge at Best Buy without any problems however the replacement Mycharge ALSO had a defective lightning connector! The problem isn't just a small isolated issue, if you check the reviews on other major online retailers you will see other people have had the same issue as me. It's a shame that such a great concept would have such poor manufacturing issues right out of the box. My suggestion, stay away from this product until future improvements are made.

Did not work as advertised

This charger wouldn't charge any device more than 20% without running out of power. I tried recharging it, and the light would be green, but after charging my iPad or iPhone 20%, it would flash red, and quit charging. I returned it to BestBuy, but did not get a replacement. . I was very disappointed. Also, the built in lightning charger was very awkward to use. The angle was completely wrong for the iPad. This is a poorly designed product that doesn't work.
