You can also plug in long cords like most chargers. The only issue is that my kids have been known to abuse the charger and break built-in cords (not for you kids).

It doesn’t keep its charge for very long. I had bought one last year as a gift and the person I gave it to says she doesn’t have to plug it in for 3 or 4 days. She charges her iPhone and Apple Watch. I have to keep plugging it in every evening. I charge my iPhone and it eats it up. When I charge my IPad it gets very hot. I’m considering return it, maybe I got a lemon.

It's a really short cord. But yes it does the job that it's suppose to do, so I guess that's the important thing.
