Priced between a simple soundbar and a full-on surround should system, the Nakamichi 7.1.4-Channel Soundbar System delivers the best of both worlds. Wireless feature is definitely worth it! I did not want to deal with wiring all speakers in the living room, and this speaker system took care of it. The sound is amazing and I have no complaints about the quality of sound. I was debating whether to get two subwoofer or just one. But having only subwoofer is good enough for my living room. My neighbor might have complained if I have gotten two. Overall, nice quality at this price range.

Overall very satisfied. Easy to setup, the only wiring was from sub to the two rear speakers, which was behind to the couch. Me and my wife are wondering why we didn't upgrade years ago. Mostly because we assumed we had 5.1 out of our old sould bar setup which was around few hundred, and that was many years ago. So we went shopping, to our surprise the 2.1 stereos soundbar systems haven't changed in price. So we looked into 5.1 prices and they were all over and mostly all wiring. But for a little over double that price we not only got 5.1 but 7.1 audio. We are amazed in certain blockbuster movies how the sound effects make it come to life. Like planes flying over or arrows flying by. The speakers have multiple speakers in them pointing in different directions to give that 360 immersion. It makes watching movies much more entertaining. Also we had trouble with the volume of movies. Have to turn up volume so you can hear what they say, then action seems are to loud. Now that's all these sound effects aren't pushed threw the same speakers, it makes the movies sound clearer. Plus it has a night mode that tones down the major sound effects. Although I would probably change the layout of the remote a little, but I would do that for any remote probably.

If you live in an apartment, don’t have room for a ‘legit’ audio system or simply don’t have the time and patience to build your own audio setup, you cannot go wrong with a Nakamichi system. The build quality is great (I was shocked by the size of the rear speakers, they’re much bigger and more quality looking than my old HTIB Sony surround) and the sound is fantastic. Plus, Nakamichi are known for their excellent customer service. It takes a little bit of fiddling to get the sound right, but that’s a testament to how many customisation options it has. I’ve never had a sound bar before, but from all the reviews and research I’ve done, it’s very uncommon to have so much customisation and that’s a testament to how good this system is. As professional reviewers have stated, this thing blurs the line between sound bar and actual discrete sound system. I switched from a 5.1 ‘theatre in box’ to this, and I was blown away by the difference! The bass is so powerful I had to crank it all the way down for my apartment living, so if you live in an apartment and are wondering whether to get the unit with one sub or two, let me tell you that one is more than enough! The height effects are surprisingly effective considering its lack of dedicated up firing speakers. I have my rears lying on their belly so they point up at a 45 degree angle, and I honestly think that works out better for my situation with a vaulted ceiling. I definitely hear height effects, and the sense of immersion and spacial sound is wonderful from a system you can plug and play with so easily. The hype about this unit is justified, so if you’re on the fence, I really don’t think you can get a better sound system in a box for the money!

Love the DV on all HDMI, DTS:X / Atmos capability. Best soundbar you can get for future proofing, the sound detail and placement is stunning. I like having the surrounds speakers go to the subwoofer, which I placed at the back of a roof to keep wires out of the way. This also has the most intuitive instruction manual I have read of any stereo system or surround system ever

This is a review of the Nakamichi customer service as well as the 7.1.4 soundbar. The soundbar is great. The soundstage is wonderful and matches what you see on your screen. Movies and TV seem true to the creators intent. Music also sounds fantastic. The Nakamichi customer service came thru when I had a problem with my soundbar. No quibbling, I was sent a replacement and a return shipping label and they made a happy customer out of me.

Best bang for the $$$$. Through my old Bose out when I heard this one. Kick from an 8” is absurd!

Awesome speakers! Very easy to get set up, and all the dolby atmos content on netflix sounds great...

This soundbar is awesome. Low volume on Samsung is now mitigated with this awesome speakers. Mostly use this Movie settings and the voice settings for news or talk shows. Movie sounds effects are amazing. This sounds bar is audible in the entire room even though the room is large. Well worth the money. Love the wireless subwoofer.

Absolutely amazing! Very impressed when I turned it on it worked right away, recognizing input and sub-woofer ( no pairing needed). Wish everything was this easy.Anyway to the sound, there wasn't a bad seat in the room and felt like I was at the theater. Got a problem though, my 65" TV seems way too small for the sound in the room. You won't regret this purchasing.

Excellent surround sound. Movies are great but the big and unexpected bonus is shows with rumbly background nose. The soundbar plays the dialogue clearly while the rumble goes through the sub. The dialogue use way clearer. Love it and actually listen to TV now at lower volume. Playing music is decent but not like a hifi

Back when I was a youngster, Nakamichi was like the Rolls Royce of cassette decks. Really high end audio. With the demise of cassettes, I figured they were long gone. When I saw they were still around, I did not hesitate in buying this for my bedroom. It has exceeded my expectations. Even my wife likes it. Even at low volume, it sounds great!

I purchased a refurbished version of this sound system, and I love it! Let me just say, the bass is hardcore! I live in condos, so I have to put it on small room setting and set the bass on its lowest setting because it will shake the walls! Listening to music sounds so, so good. This is absolutely an upgrade from my old Yamaha soundbar. If you want great bass and clear sound, this won't disappoint.

I've always used a 2.1 set up but wanted to go into the world of higher end sound bar with my new LG Oled. I must say I am very impressed with the overall sound and build quality of this unit. Bass is strong, surround is immersive, dialogue is clear. Easy set up. Would absolutely recommend.

I love my Nakamichi 7.1.4. It makes movies and music more fun. The sound will fill the room. If i could go back i would have got the two subs, It sounds amazing. You cant go wrong with this buy. You will love it. The other sound bars i have bought were gifted to my kids when i got this one.

Good starter atmos surround bar. Good for small to Medium size rooms.

I have tested many Soundbars and none of them compare to the Nakamichi. This Soundbar has many different settings to maximize your sound in any size room. Other Soundbars sound like your in a tin can but the Nakamichi takes sound to the next level. I wish I would have tried them sooner.

I bought this system as a housewarming gift for a friend of mine. He's not what you'd consider, technically inclined... However, due to Nakamichi's excellent (why don't all manufacturers do this?) instructions on how to connect and set up the system based on your specific components combined with the manuals online... I was able to use text messages to help my friend get the system installed and tuned for his usage. He was immediately very impressed with the audio quality and has had others comment on it as well. I just know from experiencing Nakamichi's older speaker systems that their soundbars were not going to be run of the mill. Truly these are an excellent value, easy to set up and perform admirably. I'll probably be buying more as gifts for people who don't know they need better sound.
