I'm an audiophile with multiple systems ranging from Bluetooth speakers to home theater to expensive main system. So I'm used to all price and quality levels and am not a snob about sound though I have strong opinions. This is by far the best soundbar I've owned, hands down, and the only one I would consider to replace my AVR and passive 7.1 setup with if I decided to downsize. One issue I had at first was I was using an older Roku box that didn't support Atmos and the rear channels sounded bad. But I upgraded to the latest Roku and spent a little time getting used to the settings and it's performing flawlessly. The dedicated tweeters make a huge difference, and the sub is better than I expected, and blends well with the other speakers. For pure sound quality this is a fantastic deal at this price.

Bought Nakamichi Pro 7.1.4 to downsize from a component 5.1 home theater system, but this sound bar was definitely not a downgrade by any means! The sound fills our media room and you definitely get the theatre experience! If you are looking for a sound system that will impress, this is it!

I bought this unit based on reviews and experience with other units. I’m tired of soundbars that last one day beyond the warranty expiration date and don’t sound all that great to start with. This unit is full featured with great sound and corresponding great reviews. I’m looking forward to enjoying it for a long, long time.

Amazing sound quality and spacious sound stage. I have the non-Atmos version and was so impressed with the value and sound quality I upgraded to the Atmos version for my living room. Atmos just adds another dimension of sound to an already great nakamichi system. And it does make a difference!

The best sound bar for the price. You get awesome sound and great bass with this soundbar. Wanted to get a soundbar that had Dolby Atmos but was under $1000. This is the best soundbar you can get for the price. Buy it and you won’t regret your purchase!

I purchased this for use in a small cottage to avoid the time, cost and effort to put in a true Atmos setup. Not to mention the space savings not needing a receiver. While the sound is the best I have ever heard from a soundbar, it is still no match for a discrete-speaker Atmos surround system. I knew that going in, so it doesn't affect my review nor my level of satisfaction. I am very pleased! Installation was a breeze. The components feel well-built and sturdy and the bar itself has a nice aesthetic. The wireless subwoofer with connections for the rear speakers made cable management quite easy. The sound level is more than adequate...this thing really booms! I have yet to calibrate the various levels of channels to fit my application, but the ability is there. My only issue, and I have read this before, was HDMI handshake issues. I am connected to a Vizio V-Series and had some difficulty getting the bar and TV to communicate. I tried the HDMI reset procedure in the Getting Started manual multiple times and even looked at Nakamichi's website for assistance. I used various HDMI cables and different input combinations to no avail. After numerous attempts it just suddenly worked. I wish I could say what I did, but it has remained connected and working, so no further complaints there. All-in-all, I would definitely recommend the product if you need a soundbar, but the Atmos experience is not quite the same as the real thing.

This is the best Soundbar I've ever owned and I have a Sony. Love the DTS/Atmos sound. Get a real kick out of watching people's faces as bombs explod or planes and helicopters flying over their head. This was the best buy of the year for me.

This is the best soundbar setup I’ve have used. I’ve bought many affordable soundbar but this is they best. Great bass and surround sound. Many other soundbar lacking bass or doesn’t have the Atmos.

Great communication and a super great product! The sound and clarity is the best by far of any of the previous sound bars I have owned. We’ll definitely go Nakamichi again when I upgrade for our vacation home.

Purchased this sound bar not expecting it to sound the way it does but it definitely blew me away! For a sound bar this thing makes a good punch in my Mater bedroom. Movie night definitely got better after installing this sound bar. I highly recommend this purchase.

I'm the type that does a LOT of research before making a big purchase like this one. I looked at all the various Nakamichi models, LG, Samsung, etc and felt hands down this was the best bang for the buck. This model and the two bigger models all use the same center channel which I feel is the most important component of these systems. I didn't feel in my home office I needed dual subs or 4 surround speakers. I have had this and used it daily for over a month and zero regrets so far. It has exceeded expectations and I'm very pleased with it. I paired this with a new Hisense H8G 55 inch and it paired and works beautifully with that TV. No issues pairing and no issues with sound drop outs either.

I have owned this sound bar for two months now and it does not disappoint. Decodes all formats, especially the Atmos feature is awesome! I'm happy with one subwoofer but two would probably be next level. I definitely recommend this Nakamichi 7.1.4 sound bar system.

I researched everything I could find for surround sound bars. This is where I landed, and I’m glad I did. It sounds amazing and woke seamlessly with my ps5 and Apple TV 4K.

I had a five channel surround unit I purchased 3 years ago and thought it was solid. Boy what a difference between the two. The Nakamichi blows it away with superior sound and surround capabilities. Well worth the money and highly recommend it
