Tried numerous other sound bars and never could get the movie theater sound. I've realized despite all the hype of soundbars, in the end there is no substitute for having real speakers physically surrounding you. That said, most multi-speaker systems are expensive and hard to setup. Nakamichi was both relatively affordable and has a great quick start card (comically large but super easy to read). Also they have various online resources to figure out the best configuration for the room. All cables are color coded and no issues with sub-woofers auto connecting to the sound bar. I waited for the eARC version and glad I did as it makes turning on the TV for my wife and kids a no brainer now. I no longer get asked for help anytime they want to watch tv. I really haven't found the need to adjust the sound once it was all configured to my liking, but when I did use the remote is easy to read, color coded, and well laid out. Probably the best remote I've ever used just based on simplicity of layout and access to all the important function you'll ever want. There is a 2 second delay when it first turns on but it doesn't show up anywhere else. I did use Bluetooth to play live commentary in English from streamed radio when my football games were in another language. That worked out pretty well. Overall very happy with the purchase really based on the great surround sound (multi-speaker), ease of setup (large instructions and color coding), and ease of use (eARC and remote control)

This is not a soundbar--but a sound SYSTEM. I have my soundbar mounted under my 77" flatscreen; it has transformed my space into a home theatre. The eArc and Dolby Atmos provides stunning sound clarity--a helicopter sounds like it is in my living room! The big bass also helps to bring movies to life. This is really the only sound system that is needed. I purchased this to replace a different soundbar having issues synchronizing audio/video. This system does not dissapoint, I highly recommend it! The packaging was phenomenal, including all mounting brackets/screws/anchors and fantastic instructions, also a mounting template.

Sounds awesome. Pretty straightforward setup. eArc is working great. Still fine tuning but there's lots of tunability.

I upgraded my 7.2 surround sound system to this Nakamichi Shockwave system and am extremely impressed by the difference in sound quality. I watch movies on an 85" Samsung 4k, 3D TV and have a room dedicated to this purpose. The ground shakes much like it does in a movie theater with the two sub woofers and I have actually almost ducked when an arrow in the movie whizzed by. My only regret is not having a larger room to do more separation with the rear speakers to enhance the experience even further.

This is by far the best Soundbar I have ever owned. Dolby Atoms 9.2 is insane and to make this thing kick even more, you have dual 10" subwoofers! It is like being in an actual movie theater.

This sound bar is so easy to set up, and compacted to the many other Dolby systems I've had it pounds! Atmos is next level. Customer service from the ninjas is even better!

I looked at many systems and kept coming back to this item. Super easy to set up. Had one speaker DOA and it was replaced without any issues in three days. Plenty of bass and the remote is not complicated, like most others. Give it a try.

This is one FANTASTIC surround system!! It came packaged very well. I have this system set-up with a QN90C Samsung Neo QLED, it pairs pretty easy! I now have theater sound in my bedroom and believe me, it can get pretty loud!! This is one system that no one should pass up on, given the price point. You WILL NOT be disappointed!

Excellent sound. Have played with the bass levels and wish it came with bigger subs or more subs. Quality system. Decently easy to put together.

The Nakamichi - Shockwafe 9.2.4 has fantastic Sound. You not only hear the music, but you feel it. I currently have Polk and Bose in different rooms in my house, and the Nakamichi is my favorite by far. The sound clarity, and low bass frequency makes you feel like you are participating in the movie, concert, or sporting event. I would definitely purchase again and recommend to a friend.

Top notch soundbar unit. Used mainly in a 15x15 living room for music/tv/movies. Dual subwoofers allow for smooth/even bass. 4 x surround speakers allow for immersive sound experience. Multiple adjustments allow for various settings from music to movies etc. Easy setup. Bluetooth connectivity is seamless. Value is perfect for this unit.

Great upgrades sound is un believable blows Bose and Samsung out of the water. This is as close to the theater you will find subs are couch shakers feels like your there. Remote upgrade very simple to use plus customer service is fast they walk you thru to get the settings perfect. Spend the money this is worth it!!!

I got this system a week ago and I'm not at all disappointed. The sound is fantastic and I really like the system memory presets. I haven't had any problems with wifi interference. Even though the amount of wifi "noise" in my house PLAGUED my previous system the Sony HTZ9F. (see my 5 year long reddit thread) It was a nightmare. My livingroom space where this system is in its very large. About 25' x 25' with very high 30' vaulted ceilings, but the surround sound absolutely dominates the entire room even at half power. Then after my wife goes to bed, I switch on the  "DRC" and "All Channel Stereo". It flattens out all the  big noises while the dialog comes through crystal clear from the speakers closest to me. I used to have to use CC late at night. Now I can hear it perfectly even at the lowest volume.

Easy installation and plenty of help if you neex it. Best sound system I have installed so far in quality, clarity, and overall user friendliness. Very happy with this. Takes a bit to get used to the different settings and functions, but it just mesns there's more options and customization.

I recently had a Polk audio system, which was a decent system, but this Nakamichi 9.2 Shockwave specifically, the sound bar is amazing! even without subwoofers connected it puts out amazing sound and I have a large great room. With the base & sound bar, I think the neighbors a block away can hear me. :)

Okay, I think I’m ready to share my first few days review of owning the Nakamichi Shockwafe 9.2.4 eARC. First of all at the first 3 days I felt like the Subwoofers weren’t doing any justice for their size, etc. But I realized it’s mainly when you have 2.0 PCM content or any 2.0 content pretty much which doesn’t have an active .1 LFE channel to deliver all of the bass/low frequency information strictly to the Subwoofers. I noticed that the Upmixers the Soundbar come with, specially both Dolby Surround Upmixer and Dolby Upmixer they could use some improvements or perhaps this could be Nakamichi themselves that need to fix/improve. And that is, when upmixing PCM, Dolby, DTS 2.0 content to make more information going to the Subwoofers when the Upmixer’s converting into Multi-Channel. I mean you can clearly notice they Upmix to the Satellites, however the Subwoofers stay a bit low like if it’s not converting from 2.0 to 5.1/7.1/9.2.4, more like 2.0 to 5.0/7.0/9.0.4. You can easily hear the difference if you have an Nvidia Shield. Go to the Audio Settings first if you have Dolby Processing ON, turn it OFF and then turn ON Upmix stereo streams to PCM 5.1. Go into YouTube and play any movie trailer, or anything and you’ll hear the Subwoofers very active and loud as the Shield is actually converting stereo 2.0 to a 5.1 which the .1 LFE channel very active. Now, turn OFF that Upmix Stereo Streams to PCM 5.1 option and let the Soundbar do the Upmix with the Dolby Surround or Dolby Upmixer. You’ll notice how the Subwoofers sound lower like if the Upmixers aren’t doing a full .1 multichannel conversion and more like a 2.0 to 7.0 conversion without utilizing the .1 LFE channel to deliver extra punchy bass information to the Subwoofers. Back to the review. Whenever you’re feeding a true 5.1-7.1 multichannel audio stream the Soundbar sounds great. Movies is where this Soundbar really shine. I rewatched Godzilla vs. Kong and I didn’t expect to be blown away. Dude, I literally felt like I was in a Movie Theater the couch, walls, floor were shaking violently in many scenes and I never heard any distortion or bottoming out from the Subs, they literally recreated every LFE sound effect with authority. I really don’t know if they actually go down to 20Hz but there were scenes were the Subs were playing either 20Hz or lower because you didn’t heard the bass only felt the vibrations on the couch body, walls and floor. So on that note, the Subwoofers are beasts when they need to and of course when you’re feeding 5.1 and up. If you’re watching/listening to 2.0 stereo content the Subwoofers are active but quite weak unless you turn the volume super loud, like lvl 30-40. Other than that the Soundbar is really a beast, also I been playing Horizon Down 2 on PS5 and this game sometimes make the Subwoofers do some work. I’ve felt them shaking my couch a bit on some fights against the big machines. In conclusion I’m really liking the system so far and it definitely shines for what is intended to, which is mainly Movies/TV Shows and some Video Games if they have good audio mixing like Horizon Down 2. For Music, I’ll keep testing a bit more as I’m not 100% convinced it does a great job. But, who knows maybe it will change my mind the more I test it with it.

My soundbar was shipped immediately, was immaculately packaged and arrived in excellent condition. Instructions were well written and installation went very well. Sound is excellent and I strongly recommend Nakamichi for anyone seeking the best in sound for your livving rooom.

Works well in a small bedroom with slanted walls. A great improvement over the rear firing TV speakers in terms of overall immersion and bass response.
