The original is a classic you will watch it over and over again. The laughs do not stop. Chevy Chase is hilarious and one of the funniest comedians of all time. John Candy plays a very funny security guard at Wally World, he also is very funny. I think Christmas Vacation is the best of the Vacation movies but this one is a close second. Pick your copy up today it's worth the price.

The 1st of the 4 vacation films is the best. I think most people will agree with me on that. The late John Candy’s role was too small, did not give him that much to do. Cousin Eddie (Randy Quaid) was best in this one & ONLY NEEDED in this film. Bringing him back for the 3rd & 4th films was unnecessary. Good to have this edition so the film could be seen wide screen. Have NEVER been a fan of the nudity in the film. Beverly needed to keep her clothes on. Course, the first of the 4 Rusty & Audrey’s. Glad my family never did trips like this.

This is just a classic comedy. They don't make them like this anymore. Chevy Chase was at the top of his game. If you haven't seen this yet, you should. You are missing out otherwise.

each one is better than the last and I hope that the new one will be great too...with Sweets from Bones directing and writing...I think it will be.

We love this movie. Anytime it is on tv we watch it. It's one of those movies you never get tired of watching. Everyone should own a copy.

The first and still the best. Still makes me laugh and it is great to see John Candy, even if only for the last 15 minutes of the movie.

Another great Chevy Chase performance gives this comedy the edge it needs to make it worthwhile. Almost equally enjoyable is the cameo by John Candy near the end of the film. Good dvd here, with some nice extras, including commentary.

An awesome comedy classic. It is Chevy Chase at his best. Still holds up 30 years later. A comedy classic.

I have loved this movie since I was young. Found it at Best Buy around Christmas on a phenomenal sale! Love it!
