Well this is the answer. And it looks nice too than a regular plain cable.

Not A Good Choice for iPad Charger

Started out fine, but now it’s hit and miss if it actually works. I find myself having to keep unplugging the cable from my iPad and flipping it over to see if the iPad will even identify that the charging cable has been plugged in. I’d avoid this if you are planning on charging an iPad with it

It gets stuck under the gear shaft because it's long;however, most likely best for use in the house or an area where the extended length would be more beneficial.
