1st Best Buy shipped them in the original boxes at Christmas time. Thankfully I had them shipped to someone else's house so kiddos didn't see them. The firing consistency if off. Sometimes it shoots hard and sometimes shoots 2 feet. With it being battery operated I surely expected more. It does not shoot unless you hold in one button to charge it while squeezing the trigger button. That kinda sux. Its fairly loud so you're not going to sneak up on anyone. The gun is really big and Has a WoW factor. The clip looks huge but only holds 10 at a time. The darts do get jammed occasionally. I bought them for 3 boys and so far they all seem to like them pretty well. Kids Had them about a week.

Was an early Christmas gift and my grandson loved it. He is five and easily uses it. He has a whole nerf gun collection and was super happy to add this one.

Motorized Nerf or Nothing!

--- SETUP ---
The setup for this gun model is simple but requires some tools. Have a knife at hand to cut out the tape and cardboard. Also, get a star screwdriver for the battery compartment. You will need to buy your own batteries: 4 AA.
--- FEATURES ---
The key feature of this Nerf gun is the similarity between this physical model and an in-game assault rifle in the Fortnite video game. It is also motorized and includes 20 darts.
--- PERFORMANCE ---
This is my first experience with a motorized Nerf gun and I was impressed. By simply pressing the trigger, nothing will happen. There is a second safety button that must be pressed first to prevent accidental shootings. Upon pressing the safety button, you hear a motor revving up and getting faster. It’s a very cool sound and might give you away in a battle with friends if you’re hiding, but it will definitely also bring a bit of fear. I took the gun outside to a park to test it against the wind and darts were traveling a good 15 feet in distance.
--- EXPECTATIONS ---
The product meets my expectations. I asked my wife to shoot me in the chest to see how painful it was. As an adult, I didn’t find it painful, just surprising. It is recommended for people 8 and up, though. I strongly suggest wearing protective eye goggles when playing with this. The gun itself feels about 4 lbs in weight. Though I am not a Fortnite fan myself, I am a gamer and a cosplayer. I am now encouraged to do a bit more research on Fortnite characters and will probably cosplay as a character with this gun, since it has a beautifully designed skin and color.
--- VALUE ---
The price for the gun in terms of value is great! The gun feels like it is made of quality and the realism of loading clips into it or being able to shoot darts in a row without immediately reloading is satisfying.
--- APPROVAL ---
I highly recommend this product for people who like having fun. You’re never too old to buy a Nerf gun, and during the times we are living in, my wife and I are already planning a shooting gallery at home to pass the time!

An Absolute BLAST

The Nerf Fortnite AR-Rippley is certainly not a *Rip*off!
First off, make sure you’ve got some fresh AA batteries (4). As I unboxed this, I tragically found out I had run out of batteries, and taking them out of random remotes and controllers, with all the fun I was having, the batteries were quickly depleted. Since getting new fresh batteries, these have not died yet so do not think this was an issue with quick battery depletion but rather my failure to be prepared for fun.
Having received this in the mail, I was surprised by the size of the box, the Nerf was larger than I initially expected - in a good way. The Nerf is very well packaged but quick to get loose of the packaging. There are batteries required as previously mentioned and a screw driver is required for removing the battery cover.
There are three sets of pieces to the box: The Nerf blaster, the Nerf darts, and a loadable magazine. The package comes with 20 Nerf darts and the magazine will hold 10. The only “wish” here is that there were two magazines so you could quickly disengage one and have another readied.
The Nerf blaster has an acceleration button for the motor. You first must have the acceleration button held before shooting the trigger. They are well placed where the acceleration button is easily pressed with your middle finger while using the trigger is reserved for the index. No issues at all. There is a clip release that is also within the trigger guard area, it is easy to decompress and the magazine is removed with ease. The Nerf has a flip-up sites and a tactical rail design. The flip-up sites are actually pretty accurate also. The Nerf does hit lower than targeted but given the dart itself this is not surprising. The elite darts are sleek looking and the magazine is spring loaded. The magazine is loaded with ease and has slight resistance as loading the 9th and 10th round and truthfully help similar to an actual one.
The firing mechanism is efficient. Shooting off the darts quickly. There is a section in the instructions how to clear a jam, but I have not had to yet. I had my wife shoot me with the Nerf from five feet away and you can definitely feel the impact of the dart but not painful at all. I would consider this child-safe. (8+ and up of course as suggested by Hasbro).
This Nerf honestly represents an FN SCAR well. I am impressed with the craftsmanship and the realistic aspects while still being a toy. The tip of the barrel is also large and clearly orange, to denote that this is NOT real.
Of course, touching on the Fortnite Rippley aspect. The “skin” applied to the Nerf is wonderful. The coloration is a beautiful blue and a fantastic cross-over representation in my opinion.
This is the first motorized Nerf blaster I have ever owned, as when I was younger were the good ol’ pump action days. But both myself and my wife have gotten great enjoyment from this motorized product and are completely satisfied. And seriously… the look in my wife’s eyes as I let her shoot me with it was priceless and a bit scary! This is the perfect gift for a Nerf and Fortnite lover.

This only works with batteries. Not very happy about that! If you could find one that works both ways with and without batteries, that would be worth the money. It shoots ok not worth the money. If i could send back i would!

Fortnite Skins take Nerf to the Next Level!

Adding the Fortnite branding to Nerf guns was a brilliant move that makes them even more appealing to kids and gamers alike. This Nerf assault riffle was already released last year, but it has now been updated with this limited edition Ripley Skin which makes the gun look SO much cooler! This is actually the very first time that Nerf has ever released a color that fades from a solid to translucent - and it truly looks spectacular.
The box suggests the gun is for kids 8 and up which I tend to agree with - mostly due to the large size. It is not heavy, but its size can be cumbersome for smaller kids. Surprisingly, the force used to expel the darts is not as strong as the smallest Nerf spring action pistols, but the 4 AA batteries (which are not included) provide enough energy to fire the darts over 50 feet!
The gun is rather hard to aim and sadly the flip up sight doesn't really help. It looks as though the shoulder stock would fold, or extend - but sadly, it is stationary and cannot move.
In order to fire the 10 darts held in the clip, you must hold down the Acceleration Button (which starts the motor) and then pull the trigger. Sadly, the trigger must be pulled for each dart you want to fire. I would have enjoyed having the option of holding down the trigger for automatic rapid fire dart release - although you can fire darts almost as fast as you can pull the trigger (as long as you are also holding the acceleration button). I was able to fire all 10 darts in just about 4 seconds.
Darts and clips from other Nerf guns do work - which is nice. But, it is worth noting that our older darts didn't seem to shoot quite as far. Perhaps they are simply not as stiff after months of use.
It is possible to find third party clips that hold more than 10 darts, but there price seems to be more than the average consumer would be willing to spend - so, it's best to assume you'll always have to reload after firing 10 dart rounds.
Overall, the gun looks fantastic, is a ton of fun, and is durable enough to last for a very long time. If you love Fortnite collectibles, or are simply a Nerf fan, you will have a blast with this gun.

Not like your old Nerf guns

Not a huge Fortnite fan however this was an interesting pickup. Nerf guns in the old days were manual cocking ones so this being an "automatic" was a nice change of pace. It's a lot bigger than I thought it would be. It's about 2 1/2 feet long and weighs a few pounds; nothing heavy though.
This doesn't have quite as much zip as I thought it would. Maybe I'll try different batteries but that oomph wasn't there like I thought it would be. Perhaps that's also deliberate too since Hasbro knows that this thing will be shot a little brothers and sisters across the nation.
That said, cool little toy for any kid or Fortnite fan.

My girlfriends son (10 years old) is a Fortnite nut, so I knew he would be all over this! He’s got a few other smaller Nerf guns, but this is his new pride and joy. Fortnite being one of the biggest game franchises right now, this mash up makes perfect sense. He’s very happy with it and now we get the joy of finding even more darts everywhere!

Fun, Motorized Nerf Blaster

This is a fun Nerf blaster that can add some flavor to your next Nerf battle. The youngsters will enjoy the Fortnite theme. Here are my thoughts.
Pros:
- It comes pre-assembled with very little work to do besides adding 4 AA batteries (not included). Instructions were basic but operation was easy to figure out with what was provided.
- Being able to rapid fire was really cool. Being battery powered allows you to shoot a full magazine of darts without having to "cock the hammer" as you you do with many other Nerf devices.
- There is a convenient access door that slides open, allowing you to clear any jams that occur.
- Power and accuracy were decent.
Cons:
- It's rather large. Adults can use it comfortably. For kids 10 and under it may be a struggle to wield. It's rated for 8+ but kids with small hands will have trouble handling the motor button and trigger at the same time, which is necessary.
- It needs to be operated carefully. If you (or your child) pull the trigger too soon before the motor is rev'd up, it can easily create a jam.
- The magazine says it holds 10 Nerf darts and cautions you to not overfill, but it seems to have the capacity for 20 or more. I'm not sure why it was designed so large. Seems like wasted space.
If you enjoy Nerf dart battles in your household, this would not be a bad addition to your arsenal!

The Nerf Elite Blaster is motorized and shoots multiple nerf darts per button press. It’s a well designed and sturdy nerf gun. The only drawback is the limited amount of darts that can be loaded at once. Otherwise, it’s a fun, powerful nerf gun that will keep your children entertained.

We bought this for our 5 year old to use as he declares friendly wars on the multitude of boys in the neighborhood, and it did not disappoint. It's easy to load and fire, though the bullets do jam on occasion and have to be reset at the top of the cartridge. Would definitely recommend for the price.

Lots of fun for the kids on Christmas morning. Shoots a good distance and no issues with jamming. If they had one complaint, it's that the are so few shots (only 10) before needing to reload. But overall, they were very happy.
