This machine makes the perfect cup, every time. It even dispenses the used pod in a built in receptacle to recycle later. If there’s an issue, it alerts me via the app on my phone for quick diagnosis. It is a little loud, but once you taste it’s creation you immediately forget about any nuisance.

Gourmet Coffee at Home
***First of all let me start off by saying that Nespresso’s customer service is amazing. My unit originally arrived with a broken water tank and after one phone call my replacement water tank was on its way and their reps were extremely helpful, so two thumbs up for their customer service. ***
If you want rich, smooth, foamy and amazing gourmet coffee, then the Nespresso Vertuo Next Premium with Aeroccinco is for you. Now you can enjoy great tasting coffee at home right at your fingertips.
The Nespresso Vertuo is a slim unit that doesn’t take up much space. The product measures 5.5W x 16.9D x 12.4H and weighs about 9lbs. The used capsule container holds about 8 empty capsules. The water tank has a capacity of about 37 oz. ***IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO USE FILTERED OR BOTTLEDED WATER WITH THESE UNITS TO REDUCE SCALE BUILD UP AND PROLONG YOUR UNITS LIFE***.
I had always wanted a Nespresso machine but used to think that there probably isn’t much of a difference in coffee using a regular coffee machine and boy was I wrong. The aroma of the coffee is so much better, tastes better and the crema is just out of this world and all it takes it just literally a push of a button and done. The Nespresso is so easy to use, all you have to do is drop in a capsule and the lock the top and press the button and the machine does the rest. The unit probably takes 30 seconds or so to warm up and pours out hot cup of joe.
The Nespresso also has Bluetooth connectivity, which I have seen people complain about but my unit connected right away with my phone, that shows you the water levels, reorder capsules and cleaning and descaling reminders.
So the Nespresso Vertuo Next Premium also comes with a Aeroccinco. The Aeroccinco has both hot and cold froth options and it worked great, the milk had a really nice foam on both options. The unit is also very easy to clean, with a non-stick coating, just make sure not to submerge or get water on the Aeroccinco’s base.
The Nespresso has changed the way I used to look at coffee and has turned our home into our own little coffee shop. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested because it will truly change your perspective on how you look at coffee.

I’m glad I bought this, No Ragrets! I’ve had Keurig brand coffee makers for quite some time. I’ve always wanted a Nespresso maker when I first saw one years ago. I don’t know where to begin with a review for this. The taste, smells, and ease of making coffee drinks with this machine is easy. Quality of coffee pods are outstanding. The frother is a must have. The different size cups in this machine is a plus. Don’t think twice about it just hit the buy button now!

Having used only one automatic coffee maker for the past few years, and not being familiar with the Nespresso line, I was eager to try something new.
Here is a quick overview of my experience. For a more in-depth account, continue reading.
-Slick, slim design
-Easy to use
-Amazing coffee flavors
-Buggy, annoying, useless app and online features that need serious work
-A bit noisy for early morning people
The Vertuo Next came well packaged and included the Aeroccino3 Milk Frother, along with a coffee sampler box and documentation.
The coffee maker is nicely designed and pleasant to look at with black and chrome top accents. It is slim enough to fit in narrow spaces (5.5”) but protrudes quite a bit (about 16”). There is a clear plastic detachable water reservoir that fits in the back and does not swivel. It holds enough water for a few cups. There is also a removable drip tray that can be adjusted according to the size of the cup.
Setting up the machine for first-time use was simple enough. If written instructions are not your thing, there are plenty of videos online. This process takes about 7-8 minutes. Now, I did experience some very annoying and overly frustrating issues in paring the machine with my android phone and was unable to connect it to my network. After trying several times, I just gave up. Since connecting to the network is just for notifications and firmware updates, I found it not necessary at this point. Hopefully, Nespresso will update the app soon.
But how easy is the process? And, does this machine make good coffee? Well, I am happy to say that fixing a cup of coffee is as easy as placing the proprietary pod in the machine, close the lid, putting the lever to the “locked” position, and push the button. By the way, the lever is a bit hard to move but that lets me know that it is properly locked. The machine will recognize the type of pod and pour it accordingly. The heating time takes about 20 seconds or less and the pouring time is about what would be expected, depending on the size and type of pod. If you want to dilute the coffee a bit, just push the button to add more water and click on again to stop. I think the temperature of the water could be a bit hotter, but overall, it is quite acceptable. Opening the hatch throws the used pod into the back so that it can be thrown out later, making the machine ready for the next cup. I did find that the machine is a little louder than I would have liked, but that is just nit-picking as I drink coffee a bit later in the morning.
The milk frother worked as described. It is quite simple to use with just a push of a button. I tried both the hot and cold function which made for a decent latte.
Focusing on the coffee itself, that is where the Nespresso brand really shined and pleasantly surprised me. Every flavor that I tried so far was distinctive and had a high-quality taste. The espresso, in particular, made me feel like I was a professional barista. This alone may be the reason to switch from my old machine and coffee brand.
So in the end, while the Nespresso Virtuo Next has some design flaws and app features that certainly need a lot of work, I would still recommend checking it out for the ease of use and the amazing coffee flavor experience it brings to every cup.

I’ve been using the Nespresso Vertuo Next for a while now, and overall, it’s a solid coffee machine that combines convenience with great-tasting coffee. The design is sleek and compact, so it fits well on my kitchen counter without taking up too much space.
What I love most is the variety of coffee styles it can make — from espressos to larger cups — and the quality is consistently rich and flavorful. The barcode technology is a game changer, automatically adjusting brew settings for each pod. It takes all the guesswork out of making a great cup.
The machine heats up quickly and is easy to use. The recyclable aluminum capsules are a plus for sustainability, though I do wish the pods were a bit more affordable or widely available in stores.
The one downside I’ve noticed is that it can be a little noisy while brewing, and the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi features feel a bit unnecessary unless you’re really into the app.
Overall, if you’re looking for a stylish, user-friendly machine that delivers café-quality coffee at home, the Vertuo Next is a great choice.

Coffee House in MY HOUSE!
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I spend a small fortune on coffee house coffee every year. The simple reason is I cannot brew an Americano or any other coffee house drink like they do with those super expensive espresso machines. I buy their beans, I grind them fresh and have a good pot but no matter what I do… It does not taste the same. So when I saw the Nespresso Vertuo Next I was hopeful but skeptical that I could have coffee house quality coffee in my house.
The Vertuo was packaged in an eco-friendly box. Frankly, all I really care about is a coffee house quality beverage but I like their commitment to sustainability. The Vertuo itself is made with 54% recycled plastic and the box it came in is 95% recycled! Nice but how does it taste?? The Vertuo also came with a sample pack of 12 various flavors and styles of coffees. They are really cool little pods and there are a vast variety to choose from through Nespresso. I am hoping that they will open the line up to, or partner with other coffee company chains like the ones that are found of mermaids to broaden the choices. We’ll see. With all the Nespresso choices I can’t imagine there isn’t a flavor a person will love. They even have a half decaf.
Vertuo set up was easy. I down loaded the Bluetooth app and paired my phone. Nespresso says that the app is to keep your appliance up to date with new recipes ect. It appears the app is mostly to be an ordering portal to their online store for coffee pods and accessories. That’s fine, the app and the webpage have all the flavors listed out and is fun to explore. They also have a free recycle bag in the app store “basket” when you check out for used capsules.
After set up you need to rinse and fill the water tank then run a cleaning cycle be sure to read the accompanying set up instruction to successfully pair and run the cleaning cycle. Those tasks require button pushing in a timed sequence ect. Not hard but you need to read how to do it.
After getting it set up I chose the “Melozio” pod. This pod is a number 6 on their intensity scale so I thought it would give me a good idea of where my taste buds land on their scale. I placed my regular large (10oz) coffee cup on the brewing trey. I opened the lid which has a nice and secure open and lock mechanism and pressed the button. The Vertuo uses centrifusion to spin around and pressure the coffee out of the pod. This is the key as to why my regular coffee maker can’t give me the true coffee house flavor. The Vertuo takes steam and pressure to really release all the oils and flavor of the grinds that my regular coffee maker just can’t do. I digress, so I can hear the Vertuo spin internally and makes some “brewing noise” and beautiful amber crema began to pour out. Then the aroma hits me. You know that smell you smell as you walk into that super popular coffee chain that is amazing…Well that’s what you get but in your house! It smelled amazing. After brewing it was 7 oz or so in my cup. My coffee cup is 10 oz. I guess that will leave room for latte’s ect. Another really cool feature was that when I opened the locked lid to retrieve the coffee pod, the lid grabbed the pod and sent it into a little hole behind the brew head. Really cool. It stacks them and you can remove them all at the end of the week. I took my first sip and it was amazing! I am a coffee snob and was excited that it tasted as good as it smelled. Really well balanced and flavorful! So quick and easy to brew and for a fraction of the cost of the coffee chains price. “Melozio” will definitely be in the cart on my first order, which they give you 10$ off the first order. Nice.
The next morning I tried the “Columbia” a 5 on their scale. I liked the “Melozio” better but really appreciate the full body and balance of this grind. I love how easy it is to just grab a pod and plop into the Vertuo and boom…delicious coffee house coffee! In the afternoon, I grabbed the Dia Volitto 1.35 oz espresso. Hit the brew button and added some hot water to the cup to create a delicious Americano which is my favorite drink. I don’t think it will totally replace my trips to the local popular coffee chain all together but it will for sure add to the enjoyment of the amazing beverage known as coffee. It will also cut down on the trips to the chain as I can’t wait to try all the flavors and coffee concoctions that await. If you are a latte lover be sure to grab the Aeroccino3 as well. Beautiful warm milk and milk froth at the touch of your finger really added to the coffee house quality of the Vertuo! What a great product! Highly recommend!

INITIAL SET-UP
Initial set-up and cleaning were straight forward and very well documented in the owner’s manual. Initial set-up consisted of washing the reservoir tank and a lengthy self-flushing of the machine to rid itself of any possible internal contaminates. Approximately, 5 minutes later, the machine was clean and ready to make coffee.
USE
Full Disclosure – I own Nespresso’s largest competitor’s machine and have been a happy customer for several years now. I have seen these Nespresso machines around for some time, but since I am invested in the competitor’s ecosystem, I did not pay Nespresso a great deal of attention. Why would I? It is just a new version of the same thing, right? Nope, wrong!
The machine heats up very quickly. Far quicker than its competitor’s machine. The actual operation consists of nothing more than a locking lever and a brew button. You unlock the lever to open the lid, place the coffee pod in device, close the lid and lock it, press the brew button. That’s it. The machine uses some form of tech to read the pod that was inserted and adjusts its brewing parameters accordingly. Nespresso says that machine adapts the aeration, water flow, etc. to each unique pod. Whatever it does in the background, it works.
NEGATIVES
This thing is noisy. It makes twice the racket of its primary competitor’s machine. Nespresso spins each pod up to 7000 rpm for brewing and it sounds like it. Those first few minutes are annoying. But after the spin down, it is quieter than the competitor.
The Nespresso app is basically worthless, in my opinion. It really is not anything more than Nespresso’s way of selling more coffee. Granted, you need it to setup the machine on Wi-Fi so that it can receive firmware updates and register itself with Nespresso, but after that, the only thing the app is used for is to turn on the machine. It heats up so fast, turning it on ahead of time is pointless. So, after initial setup, the app just becomes a marketing tool.
The water tank resides on the back of the machine and its small size makes adding water to the reservoir frequent and inconvenient. I prefer the side mounted reservoir of its competitor. That machine does not require me to move the machine out each time I need to add water.
Lastly, is the high price and overall lack of variety of the pods. I can pick up the competitor’s coffee for less than 50 cents a pod anywhere and anytime, cheaper if I can catch a sale. The Nespresso Vertuo pods are at least a $1 per pod, if not more. I see that other companies are offering pods for Nespresso’s other machines, so I’m hopeful as time goes on, others will make compatible pods and the available variety and pricing will come down.
CONCLUSIONS
My negatives of this system are honestly just nit-picky. I concur with other reviewers’ sentiments that this product makes a superior cup of coffee compared to its competitor. I do wish Nespresso had more variety in their selections and the pods were a little less expensive. But, to be fair, I am sure it is just that I’m spoiled by all the selection and price offered by Nespresso’s competitor. They have enjoyed many more years to get their infrastructure established.
I have drunk coffee nearly every day since college, and do not consider myself a coffee snob. I can drink nearly any coffee. I am NOT the person to go out and spend $5 -$10 per day at the gourmet coffee shops and drive thru’s (though, I have tried the big national shops and many of the local shops). But, after using this machine a few times and sampling some various blends, this is a whole new way to make coffee. Quite honestly, this machine makes the smoothest, most flavorful coffee I have had to date. I am rapidly becoming THAT coffee snob and my tolerance for any kind of coffee or brew is rapidly deteriorating. Thanks Nespresso. Excellent Product!!

Premium Cup of Brew

We have always been a K-Cup kind of house, but this is going to fancy us up a little bit!
First impressions:
- Well Boxed
- Very slim and premium looking design
- Easy set up
- Great tasting premium coffees
- Bonus Milk Frother (Aeroccino3)
- Bonus sample pack of coffees
First, I would recommend reading the instructions if you have never used a machine like this. You have to initially rinse it by pushing the start button 3 times. Make sure that when you do this, you have a larger size container to catch the water as it puts out more than a cups worth. After that, you’re good to fill up the water container and get making coffee!
The technology on this unit is fantastic! It reads the barcode on the pods to determine just how much water is used for that specific brew. No more having to press other buttons to select the water output amount! This connected to my phone quite easily so I can monitor and update my machine to the latest version to ensure the best cups of brew.
The Aeroccino3 is pretty awesome and amazingly easy to use. There are two fill levels depending on the type of drink you are making and you can chose hot or cold froth to meet your needs – press once for hot froth and hold for 2 seconds for cold. The agitator is easy to remove for cleaning as well.
Some great features about this unit are that is has a heavy duty adjustable height cup holder, One button operation, built in pod disposal area, and a great Nespresso capsule recycling program! On top of all this, the different brews taste like premium coffee house coffee!
The only knock I have about this units is that it specifically uses the Nespresso Vertuo capsules which are not necessarily as readily available as K-Cups, but if you order before you are out, you will be fine.
Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a more premium home coffee experience!

Was skeptical after never liking coffee from a pod system. Heard good things about the Nespresso system, decided to give it a try and am not disappointed.
The machine is sleek and takes up little counter space which is a plus. It is super simple to use, simply unlock, open the top, insert the pod, close top, lock it and hit the button. About three minutes or so later, your cup of coffee or espresso shot is done. Couldn’t be any easier.
I love the sampler pack that came with the unit. Tried almost all of them and have my list of favorites which I will order going forward.
As for the Aeroccino 3 that came with this, I can say this is the best milk frother I have ever owned. I love that besides doing hot frothy milk, you can also do a cold froth which is excellent. Takes about 90 seconds or so. The unit is easy to clean which is a huge plus.
Overall, this is now my primary machine for morning brews along with the Aeroccino 3. Excellent coffee and espresso, easy to use machine, and a great space saver. All I need to do now is learn how to make those fancy designs with the froth like they do in coffee shops and I’ll be a five star barista at home. Lol

The Nespresso Vertuo Next makes excellent coffee, whether it's a mug of coffee or espresso. It brews Brews five cup sizes – espresso, double espresso, gran lungo, alto and mug and uses a unique centrifugal brewing system which results in a rich cup of coffee with espresso-like crema. The taste is wonderful.
Also unique - at least in my experience, is a one touch system. The Vertuo Next reads a bar code on the proprietary pod which tells it how to as well as how much to brew. Brewing a cup of coffee is simple -- unlock the lid, drop in a pod, lock the lid then press a button. The machine will start brewing in a few second. you can top up your coffee manually by pressing the button once to start the water flow and again to stop it. And, if you want even more control, there’s also an option to customize the water volume for each drink. Brewing a cup of coffee couldn’t be simpler. The brewing process is noticeably louder than my Keurig or Starbucks machine, and while it doesn't bother me too much, others may find it a bit noisy.
An adjustable 3-position cup holder/drip tray is used to place the mug or espresso cup on. Old pods are automatically disposed of when the lid is lifted. Pods are completely recyclable for free via Nespresso stores or sending it back to them via UPS. There's little cleanup. While the lid locking system may be a little stiff, overall it's a very convenient process.
As the Vertuo comes with barcode-reading technology that automatically identifies the pods for the perfect brew, it also means that you must get Vertuo specific pods from Nespresso. You can't just run down to your local grocers should you happen to run out of pods. Nespresso does offer more than 150 pods for you to choose from, and that number should grow.
A feature I'll only touch on briefly is that the Vertuo Next has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities. You can pair the Vertuo Next to your phone via the app, which allows you to do things such as check the water status, reset the machine to its factory settings and update the Virtuo's firmware. I could not get mine to pair with my Android phone. You do not need this feature to use the machine -- it handles its brewing duties just fine without it. Still, if they include the feature, it should work.
The model I received also comes with Nespresso's Aeroccino 3 milk frother, which froths hot or cold milk for lattes, cappuccinos and macchiatos. It does a great job frothing the milk, however the capacity is poor. To make a double latte you'll need to use the frother twice to get any more than a 12 oz cup.
I don't know if I'm overly critical or what, but it seems that no matter how much I like a product, there's always seems to be a "but" included somewhere, and this review is no different. Overall I really like the Vertuo, however it does come with a few flaws: The milk frother despite doing an excellent job of frothing milk, can only froth about 6 oz or so of milk without overflowing and making a mess. The bluetooth/Wifi feature functions poorly -- I couldn't get it to pair at all. The app finds the machine, but states it cannot pair and advised to reset the machine. Doing so just results in the same error, forming a continual loop.
The main point here is the coffee however, and the Vertuo does indeed make an excellent cup of coffee or shot of espresso, with minimal fuss. For that reason, I can't help but recommend it. The quality of the coffee will not disappoint.

Use the Breville serial number to register this product. Be advised that this model is not listed in the selection box at Breville (at of the writing of this review), so just pick a Nespresso model and put in the correct serial number. The Nespresso site was able to input registration data with no issues. Batch register number is the first 4 digits of the batch number.
Also, no accessory parts are available at the time of this review from either site.
Summary report:
Product meets or exceeds all described functions. This unit makes a great coffee and expresso in all sizes! The 11 oz pods were closer to 13 oz so have a big cup or use the glass measuring unit like I did.
Breville has the best warranty swap out program in the industry.
Detailed results:
This heavy-duty quality unit was able make coffee and expresso with the 11 enclosed capsules with no issues. Strongly suggest you buy the OEM pods in bulk quantities from Nespresso or Breville. Best Buy is very price competitive when they have specials but at the writing of this review no pods for this model were available at Best Buy.

Electrical cord was heavy gage wire with thick rubber covering and built to last. Also the unit is heavy and solid and appears to be built like a tank.
Be sure to use the cleaning cycle as directed and read the instructions and follow them exactly. Picture of debris from the cleaning cycle enclosed.
Coffee was strong and tasty for that necessary morning lift. Made a cup for Figaro, Lucifer (with Covid mask), and me. Lucifer is wired in the photos.
No grounds in the coffee using the authorized pods. This unit works perfect with the correct PODS.
Auto eject of pods into recycle bin was a very nice feature and an easy way to retrieve the used pods.
I also unplug my portable appliances after use and even hit the circuit braker during power outages for my appliances with no surge protector.
1-2 year warranty: Depends on Nespresso or Breville site. It would be interesting to see if you can process the warranty through Nespresso for the 2 years (this could change so you at least have a first class one year warranty). However, Breville has an incredible warranty and customer service response. First-hand experience (convection oven) with this outstanding company. They sent me a new unit with a prepaid label to ship the other back.
The Aeroccino 3 works very well with skim and whole milk as that is what I use for my coffee. Very heavy duty unit and cord. Do not overfill like I did!!!!!!! 20% fill max for the first time.
1-2 year warranty on all machines and Aeroccino. You will need to provide the proof of purchase Most companies accept a shipping invoice, receipt. And possibly a detailed shipping label.

REVIEW: Nespresso Vertuo Next Premium by Breville with Aeroccino3 - Classic Black
BEST BUY Tech Insider Network
SUMMARY:
GREAT for specialty coffees, espressos, cappuccinos. High quality build and performance. Easy foam for cappuccinos. We worked our way through the 12 samples in about 1.5 days. So we are spinning around a little from the caffeine. Mostly, that was because the coffee was that good we could not help ourselves. I really like that it has multiple sizes now instead of just the thimble sized pods. I would recommend this for anyone who likes specialty coffees without all the fuss.
UNBOXING:
INITIAL IMPRESSIONS:
Everything about the packaging was first class. I’m sure they are not making any money on the base unit itself, but they more than make up for it on the pods. At $1 per pod it is not a cheap investment. A household with 2 coffee drinkers and 3 cups per day each means you are spending nearly $200 / month on coffee. Still, that is a fraction of the amount you would spend if you hit the local coffee shop each morning and afternoon. My point is, that I’m glad they did not skimp on the unit, with the long term investment in mind this is a well built unit.
MY BACKGROUND:
We have been using single cup coffee makers for about 10 years. Between work and home we have six of the “K-Brand” single cup machines. It was originally to save us money from the daily coffee shop routine, and it works well, especially if you buy in bulk. I travel to Europe a few times a year and started getting exposed to Nespresso about 5 years ago. My main complaint was the tiny thimble sized pods. At $1 / pod I needed 3 pods in a sitting to get an “American” sized coffee experience. The tipping point for us was a 10 day European river cruise where we had a Nespresso unit in our cabin. The coffee really was fantastic, and I knew it would not be long before Nespresso invaded our house.
PERFORMANCE / EASE OF USE:
The setup and use of the machine is really easy. Pour water in the back (enough for about 6 drinks), and drop in your pod, and press the button. The maker reads the bar codes under the lid and make the perfect mix, blend, temperature coffee each and every time. When you open the top, it ejects the pod into a build in capture basket so you can let a dozen or so pods build up before you empty it. Likewise, the frothing machine is simple to use, and makes perfect foam each time.
TIP: ONLY USE FILTERED WATER NOT TAP WATER
I speak from experience here. Before using a simple water filter at home and work we were burning out a “K-Brand” machine every 6 months. We started using a simple $20 under sink water filter kit 3 years ago and have not burned out a unit since. I skimmed reviews of Nespresso and they also have an issue with scale build up as does any high temp, high pressure device like this.
BEST FEATURES:
Automatic POD Eject (and capture)
Milk Foamer
Good sized water tank
Tall crema on each brew
Simple operation
You can recycle the pods which you can’t easily do on “K-Brand”
LET’S TALK ABOUT THE COFFEE ITSELF
The specialty coffee (smaller sizes, espressos, cappuccinos, etc) are all fantastic 9/10 score. I found the 8 oz coffees only OK, and the 14 oz coffee very watery tasting. The “best” 8oz coffee was only Hotel Coffee Shop Quality. OK but nothing special. Of course, everyone has different tastes. I like to start the day with a strong blast, and then downshift to a mild blend throughout the day. The only pods “strong enough” for me were 5 oz and below. To match the capacity of my “K-Brand” I would need to use 2-3 pods each morning. With a habit of 3 or 4, 12 oz mugs per day, if I limited myself to 5oz pods. I would be spending $300-$400 / month just for myself.
SUMMARY
The Nespresso Vertuo Next Premium is a welcome addition to our house. But due to the watery quality of the larger pods, it will mostly settle into use for daily after dinner espresso. This does not take anything away from the unit. It has a welcome place in our daily routine. I would highly recommend the unit to anyone who likes specialty coffee, but I would not recommend it for everyday coffee. We pre-ordered a wide variety of coffees and have probably tried 60% of their flavors at this point.
