It looks nice, but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We had the Nespresso Vertuo Plus and it died (as in would not power on) after two months. We bought the Nespresso Vertuo Next and it looks better than the Plus, but... 1) It doesn't make hot coffee. The resulting coffee is warm. If you like hot coffee you will likely want to choose a different machine. 2) The other issue is that the lock and unlock on the top of the machine requires some strength. I train with a Captains of Crush number 2 gripper and it seems difficult. If you have arthritis or less strength you will likely want to choose a different machine. 3) The machine still looks cheap and I suspect it will break in a few months like the other (planned obsolescence), therefore we treat it as disposable and by the protection plan. In summary, maybe they should hire me to make the big decisions over at Breville. I would make sure that the coffee is hot and that the unit can be opened and closed by a person who doesn't do extreme strength training.

Birthday Gift

She is in her 20's and has not had specialty coffee delivered or gone to get it since, I am told. Her comment after 3 weeks of use was, "Best birthday gift ever." So I think she likes it, but is frustrated with the limited availability of the pods. Please keep that in mind when buying.
