    While Geek Squad did a great job installing my flat panel TV’s, the recent set up / data migration from my old Dell PC to the new HP 27” was awful. The installation of Outlook on the new HP and data migration was botched. When remote agents were unable to help, online support by Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard , ATT, Carbonite & an outside consultant finally helped get new installation working. This was communicated to Best Buy store management that their techs needed to be better trained in data migration. This whole proceed took in excess of 5 weeks!!!

    Average at best. blew in and out, no real explanation of moving from Windows 10 to 11. Had major issues causing me to go into your store to correct

    My mother had a Total Tech question about her printer within a day or two of installation and she was charged. That is not how the product was described to me and I disturbed.

    Inital setup and data transfer was never completed at the store. Had to travel round trip better than a half hour to get things corrected.

    The agent did half the job, and was supposed to come back the next morning. Never came, never called, and no one from Geek Squad seemed to be able to do anything about it. It was a disaster. The Best Buy store where we purchased the products (West LA) were as helpful as they could be especially the store’s manager, Isaac. Without him, we’d have been dead in the water with some expensive equipment we couldn’t use.

    Bought a new Dell all in one desktop. Geek squad migrated all but some of the files to the new desktop. Now we have a bill for $159. Talking to a Geek agent they say retail charges for the migration is $199 but for Total Tech customers it’s $159!! When I look at the service ticket it says $0. NOT happy.

    Poor notification the day was suppose to have home visit. You have to be available 7am - 7pm. I never was notified, i called in twice, first person said is still planning to come to home today. I called again around 2:30pm and person said they are not planning to come, someone didn't come in today so I needed to reschedule.

    The tech called and I told him I had to work. He came anyway as my wife was home. All he did was plug it in. I had to change it afterward. I needed my mail history transferred to the new computer. This was essential for my personal business. It was not done. This has been affecting my business for weeks. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes I was given and appointment a week away. I had to leave the state in the meantime. Pretty much useless.

    I was texted a time and date for the geek squad to show up at my house to switch days from old computer to new computer that I purchased at Best Buy. Was charged $199 to setup. The geek squad never showed up on appointed day.

    The wrong Microsoft bundle was sold to me. I need Publisher and it has been very disappointing how long it is taking to get the correct software installed. Everyone who has tried to help has been very sympathic and means well, but if my next appointment works out, it will have taken 57 days to get the correct software.

    The appointment was cancelled without notification. I have called customer service several times: useless, The automated promps are annoying and not useful. The people who I have spoken with are difficult to understand due to time delays and poor English. No one has been able to solve the problem even in the store.

    I was very disappointed in the Geek Squad service. I hope that the setting up of my new computer and printer was not the usual expert service that a person expects from a company that is supposed to be one of the best at migrating computer information. The service that I received was not worth the price that I paid for this service.

    We have had the pc for three weeks and still do not have it installed! Told them that we would be out of town for a week to set up a time before or after. But no they set it for that week. Then we tried several times to re-set up a time and keep getting a round around. not happy!!
