    Paid for in home set up of computer and printer for my 83 year old father in law this past Monday 11/25/24, received an appointment for this Wednesday 11/27/24. When booking the appointment with the agent I asked that he note the account for an early morning arrival preference and that my father in law may need help with data transfer. Asked the rep if the tech on the day of install could assist, and the rep said yes, that there would just be a potential additional charge based upon what may need to be transferred. The rep said he would note the appointment receipt. I then said if the rep has a problem with the data transfer then we could deal with that at a later time, I mainly need the laptop and printer that I purchased from Best Buy set up. 11/27/24 day of appointment, receive text message at 6:33am that the Geek Squad agent will arrive today between 8am and 12pm-perfect. Sent that text to my father in law. Check my in home services confirmation email around 8:15am to check on status, just to find out that my appointment was cancelled by the technician. I called the 800 # as directed if I thought the cancellation was an error. The 800# agent told me that the technician cancelled the appointment because of the note referring to potential need for data transfer. The note was in there as a courtesy, head's up for tech at my request. I had mentioned to ordering rep that if data transfer can't be done that we would just bring laptop in. When the appointment was cancelled, I RECEIVED ZERO NOTIFICATION, NOR DID I RECEIVE A CALL FROM THE TECH WHO CANCELLED THE ORDER TO ASK ABOUT THE DATA TRANSFER-OR TO SAY THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO THE TRANSFER. I would have been fine if the data transfer could not have been done. The 800# rep could not do anything about this and blamed their system. I asked to have the technician to still come out today as it was roughly 8:45am at this point to set up the computer and printer and I was told no. The 800# rep said I would need to book a new appointment?? The next available appointment was next Tuesday, December 3rd, really? Due to their technicians interpretation of an order note, they cancelled my appointment, did not call, text or notify me in anyway and they can't get a tech out until next week. IMMEDIATELY CANCELLED MY ORDER, AND WILL BE RETURNING THE LAPTOP AND PRINTER TO BEST BUY TODAY. WHAT ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!! NEVER AGAIN!!

    I purchased a PC, I-Pad, and Data Transfer on 4/28/2025. Although the PC and I-Pad were set up, to date (5/31/2025), my data transfer from my old PC has not been completed. Many appointments for my in-house data transfer have been scheduled, but within a few days from the scheduled appointment, all have been cancelled by Best Buy Customer Service with no explanation.

    Did a good job on setting up PC, except some of the files I used are not on the new PC. I have had a problem with the PC stopping while I'm working on it. Will need for Geek Squad to come back out to my home.

    Andres was very professional and did a great job. But I was very disappointed when my Geek Squad options were explained. My email contacts were not transferred and I now have to take my old hard drive to the store to get this done. What is the point of Geek Squad. Andres did work hard to get all the pictures from two different email accounts on one account and he tried to get as much done as possible in his allotted time. I wish I could return this computer and start over. I would use my regular tech person to help me.
