Great game was for my daughter she lives it a lot.

I when to bestbuy to buy something for my trip to texas and saw that this was on sale cheap so I buy one. I am have fun play game on it

Lightweight and just as fun as the 3DS, just without the 3D part that I never use anyway. Didn’t have any colors I wanted but that was minor

I always used a ds when I was a kid but I remember trying the 3ds and I didn’t like it only because the 3D effect made my eyes hurt so now years later I decided to buy the 2ds xl instead and I don’t regret anything. I carry my 2ds everywhere and I love it!

Nintendo delivers with this device. Can play all my old DS games and has a decent selection of titles. Nice that it comes in a variety of colors but I only wish you could game share with one more device since having two requires me to buy two separate copies of the game. Other than that my nephew and I love this thing.

Purchased the handheld console for my 9 year old son, has had plenty of fun with the unit. I regret not getting some sort of accident protection for the device. Will get another one but will opt for the non clamshell form factor.

Last Gen handheld, but if you don't have the money for a Switch, it can definitely scratch your mobile gaming itch. Great selection of games, and the graphics aren't bad on the tiny screen. Plus, the 3D feature on the 3DS is overrated anyway.

It's easy to download games and I dont get a headache like I used to when I played it in 3d. I hope the new smash bros will be on the 2ds

Even with the Switch, and the forthcoming Switch Lite, you can't go wrong with this. For $130 less than a Switch Lite + Mario Kart, you can get this, or for the same price, two of these. Still a good value especially if you have multiple people you want to entertain

Positive initial impression from children (5 and 7 yo), although did not seem as excited about it as we thought they might be. Controls and UI take some getting used to, graphics mediocre compared to an iPhone/iPod. Perhaps seem more intuitive to children, but to me seemed kind of prehistoric. US model only takes 110V AC charging...kind of limiting if you travel. Games also quite expensive for a casual gamer (ie many appear to be $30 each), although some of the original Mario games are reasonable.

I remember when these came out originaly when I was in high school they were a huge improvement over the other clamshell console. The features they get are quite amazing and the features this has are very impressive.

I did not like the Nintendo DS when I was a child, but now they improved its games and its consoles and they are way better.

Purchased for a child, who fell in love with this device as I did my gameboy so many years ago. The interface is simple enough for them to navigate, and the availability of various games from their famous series will mean hours and hours of playtime.

My son asked Santa for the Nintendo 2DXL and Santa brought it. He loves playing the Mario Kart game that came predownloaded. He seemed to pick up the controls fairly quickly even though it was his first time playing. It fits his his size well but it sucks when i have to do things for him and im not a big guy. I wish the stylus was a bit longer because without it typing for and adult is a headache.

I play with it all the time and the battery life is pretty good. I’m happy with this DS!! The purple color is cool too-

We have an Xbox One X and a Nintendo Switch, but I personally find my 2DS XL to be the most fun and best value of all my gaming options. Granted I am a sucker for the old NES games, but I stand by what I said for the newer games too. 5 stars. :)
