In my opinion, this is a very solid sequel to Into the Spider-verse. It’s animated beautifully, and the story is pretty good. I do think the first movie is slightly better only because it feels like a contained story; this movie definitely feels like a “part 1.” That isn’t a negative though at this point unless Beyond the Spider-verse falls apart. If that happens, this may lose a star for me because I’d be prone to just enjoy the first movie alone on repeated watches. It is totally worth at least one watch for the story and a second just to catch all the details in the animation. The steelbook is pretty cool if you are interested in physical media. The art on the 4k steelbook is my favorite over the Blu-Ray steelbook and the standard plastic case releases. If you like physical media, I’d recommend the steelbook just for the artwork alone. Overall, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with this movie if you liked the first one, and the steelbook is pretty hard to pass up if you were planning on buying the movie on disc and can afford it (the steelbook is more expensive than i’d like, but that’s a general complaint on steelbooks recently).

A Classic DVD to keep in your collection. Sadly it seems like physical content is losing its touch *literally* but for the movies you want to keep even when the internet is out this is one of those to add.

Saw in theatres and was an amazing emotional and action packed roller coaster ride...so happy BB has the steelbook editions!

Awesome movie and one you'll remember for a long time.

This review is going to focus on the picture and audio of the disc, rather than the movie itself. There are plenty of those reviews online. This 4K disc is reference quality. If you want to show off your home theater, this is the disc to put in your player. The colors are so vibrant and crisp, and the Dolby Atmos mix is immersive and bold. If you are a Spider-Man fan, or just a home theater enthusiast this is a disc you need in your collection. The Best Buy exclusive steelbook is lovely as well. The art on the front and back is beautiful and the matte finish on the steelbook is so cool. I wish the interior art had a little more flourish, but otherwise this is one of my favorite steelbooks in awhile.

Considering how great and well reviewed the 3D was in the first Spider-Verse movie, it’s extremely sad that this got no 3D release anywhere! That 3D-bias aside, this is excellent! It sounds great! Visually, it’s a fantastic, artistic achievement! I know some people who don’t like multiverse stories, but I’d think that everyone else (and even them, if they’d give it a chance) would love this! Powerfully emotional scene with plenty of humor and Spidey/Multiverse action and craziness! These Spider-Verse movies are the very best of Spider-Man! Also, I only occasionally get steelbooks, but this one was too good to pass up (though I would’ve if it hadn’t been in beautiful 4K UHD)!

I need to rewatch this movie as the kids i were watching it with were distracting me due to it's length. The movie was very long for an animated feature, running 2 hours and 20 minutes. I'm actually getting my first OLED TV delivered today, so i think I'll make this movie the first film i watch on it, and I'm sure it will look phenomenal. All of the animation that i did notice in the movie was absolutely gorgeous, and the artwork on the steelbook looks great and captures the feel of the film. I tend to purchase the steelbook release of all my physical media when they are available, especially the Best Buy exclusives

One of the best animated movies ever. Definitely extra rewarding if you've been a Spider-Man fan since the Tobey movies and even before for a bunch of the easter eggs, but holds up even for new fans. The prequel "Into The Spider-Verse" is highly recommend, but I assume if you're looking at this, you've seen it. The SteelBook is a must buy for any collector and anyone that has the steelbook of the first movie, even though it kind of cracks me up that on the cover they used the Spider-Punk design from the comic books and not from the actual movie. The 4K version for the animation at its finest is worth it.

This movie, if you havent seen it yet, is one of the biggest leaps forward in animation in recent years. It has been said that animation is a route that should only be chosen if it is impossible to present the story with physical actors and physical places. Not every animated film follows that - but this film only makes sense because of animation. So many images and effects would be impossible to do in the real world. There are so many frames in this movie it would be almost impossible to catch them all. Cant wait to get to the special features

It's absolutely unreal what a work of art ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE is. What the previous film did to change the game for CG animation, this film has done for its own predecessor, rendering insane new worlds and characters with distinct, eye-popping splendor. But beneath the shiny veneer and all the sight gags, easter eggs, and meta humor that made ITSV such a joy is a startlingly dramatic tale about choice & consequence, with a cliffhanger setting up BEYOND THE SPIDER-VERSE to be THE superhero event of year it releases. And yes, Hobie IS awesome. Long live Hobie.

Short review of the movie: better than the first, great story, great action, fun, amazing all around. Sadly no Nicholas Cage though. Now onto the disks. Steelbook is fantastic, beautiful artwork on the inside and outside. Comes with 4k and Blu-ray. Blu-ray is standard Blu-ray, but the 4k has FANTASTIC qualities. The picture is great, even on a lower end 4k TV. The HDR and colors are some of the best I've ever seen as well. The brightness of the whites and the darkness of the blacks are The Batman level of amazing (I loved it to death). 5 stars!

Blind bought this but had heard good things so I knew I’d enjoy it. I do wish I had seen it in theaters but just never had the chance. 4K: the quality of the disc is fantastic! Love the steel book art. The colors are spectacular and the way the watercolors look is just amazing to see on 4K. Movie: Seeing this for the first time at home was a treat. I have probably rewatched this 15 times since I bought it. The story and character development are very good and I cannot wait until the 3rd movie comes out.
